Title: Why Core not make any compromise?
Post by: Doofus on June 11, 2017, 02:33:32 AM
I got the truth! It is because they are not able to date Taylor Swift!
Samson Mow: If the question is why can’t Core compromise and add a hard-fork into SegWit? That’s because a hard-fork requires everyone to upgrade simultaneously and Core cannot force people to do that. It’s an impossible compromise. It’s like me saying I’ll do something for you if you get me a date with Taylor Swift – you probably can’t do that.
Does this mean if Taylor dates him, he would compromise?

 >:( he's saying that he's not going to sway. Pretty obvious man. Btw, why would you want to go on a date with Taylor freaking Swift? Omg gross lol. Her squints eyes and terrible music are no match for anyone. She'll be Perma-single until she can find a male Helen Keller to love her.

Oh My, you hate Taylor or you are simply jealous of her? I think it's great that you believe in what you believe, and you would compromise, but why are you doing this? Who are you doing this for? I just don't think Core are representing the interests of miners?

Why would core care what miners think? Full nodes and end users are just as important or more important to keep bitcoins decentralized and stable (in terms of the tech, not the price obviously).

I do not really understand their reasons, but this is causing a lot of controversy, and I'm afraid they will have a fight, and the bitcoin becomes more unsettled, so bad.

bitcoin core has no incentive to care, why rock the boat when you can just keep kicking the can down the line

Agreed I don't think miners should be allowed to hold hostage the entire chain so easily just beacause they have computing power

What about the end users? We should be as important but right now what say do we have

It is more because Core cannot risk a contentious hard fork that might split the blockchain. They need to be conservative.

There is also concern about the effects of larger blocks on the nodes ability to propagate information. There was a developer that said it could have a negative effect unless there was a "sweet spot" found. It was said in this article, https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/christian-decker-network-improvements-tradeoffs-and-finding-block-size-sweet-spot/
