Title: Bitcoin Mining Pool Questions Post by: joshuatowns on June 11, 2017, 11:21:31 PM I'm pricing some hardware to possibly start mining Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency. Let's suppose I wanted to start my own pool. How many computers would I need at a minimum to see the benefits? And if you had $50k to spend, would you take the risk and buy the equipment? I've got a vacant rental that I own that I could use. I also have fast wifi.

Even then its dubious. There is a reason people with millions of dollars of mining kit still use pools like kano and slush etc. Title: Re: Bitcoin Mining Pool Questions Post by: kimmy724 on June 15, 2017, 02:57:18 AM Setting up a sha-256 mining pool is very time consuming . It takes deep technical knowledge on OS , compiling and running the daemon in 24/7 manner.
