Just found out that Bill Gates' networth,$86B is the market cap of the top 5 cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, combined! 

doesn't matter, we are in early adopters phase :) so be prepared to be rich if you invested in cryptos

Remember the whole tech sector is a rounding error on the financial markets which in in the many trillions....which is what BTC/crypto tech is going after/supplanting.

86B in the scheme of things can buy you 86 thousand houses in say a major capital city, which can house about 200K people, and that just the house not the ongoing costs. So what 4 or 5 suburbs worth. Nothing really in the scheme of things.

You quickly see that it really is peanuts in the scale of public funding, tax, living costs, transnational volume.

I am a late comer and just discovered about the value of Bitcoin and the Blockchain technology recently. 
Waiting and hoping to see Bitcoin gains a market cap equals to what Apple has one day.

And did your compare annual growth of cryptocurrency market cap vs Bill Gates's growth?
As and when we see growth of Bitcoin and Ethereum, Bitcoin rose 6x and Ethereun rose 39x in last one year. I can't think any billionaire in the world has his worth increased at that speed.
You can easily ascertain the future of cryptocurrencies, it gonna be really tremendous one.;)

Money creates money and his money is working for him even when he is sleeping. If you look at the top 10 Dollar Billionaires you would notice

You have to remember these guys has been accumulating wealth for most of their lives and Bitcoin has only been around since 2009.  ;D

So well basically Bill Gates can buy all of the current circulating bitcoins, TWICE! I mean obviously he can can't buy as $86B is his net worth not his liquid money, but still, it's a lot. And as you said its just a useless statistic. 

Just WOW! that statistics on the Forbes was just a shocking after seeing it a second time now and that bill gates was the ultimate billionaire, but I think OP thinks their wealth does involve with Cryptocurrencies? I think their wealth does have taken part with Bitcoin, they can surely Buy billions of bitcoin if they can and as much as they want invest with it, but as the statistics was shown this is remarkable and we are seeing people all made a big income by means of their skills, talent, and potential.

Like you, most of us know bitcoin too late, it's a big loss for us. Bitcoin came out in 2010, when its value was very small, even if many people had thrown it away, if they kept it to the present, they would become rich. If I knew bitcoin sooner, my life would change a lot.

Because basically cryptocurrencies are still undervalued as of now. There is still great potential for it and the value is small because the communities around it are still small as well. But there would come a time that it would be huge that the valuation of a cryptocurrency would be as large as a country's economy.

They said if you have invested US$1000 of Bitcoin in 2010 and keep it till today, you would have $45M!  That is a crazy return.  Sometimes I am skeptical on what is the true value of Bitcoin.  I know it is demand and supply, but what facts can you guys come up as on why Bitcoin deserve to be $100,000 in 10 years or even at today's price?

Well early I think would've been considered when the bitcoin was worth aroun 5 $ . But still even now if we take in consideration the steady and increase of popularity of bitcoins crypto currencies is a good investment to make even at this stage when 1 bitcoin is worth around 2500 $

We'll see in a couple more years. The price of cryptocurrencies will grow and grow, the value of fiat will decrease.
Bill Gates' wealth will grow slower than the rise of crypto market. And more and more people understand this and come to invest.

Lol we all know that bill gates is one of the richest person in tbe world. Having a succesful company that until now is running will truly make you a billionaire. Just because of hardwork you can do the impossible.

So what, Satoshi Nakamoto's networth would be 100x more than of Bill Gates, if not now then eventually it will definitely be.

Not mentioning that Bill Gates started since he was a teenager. Bitcoin just started by 2009.
But I will not agree about the idea of investing on the state where bitcoin is right now. It is just too big to handle.
Even the transaction fee kills me.

If you don't want Bitcoin, for whatever reasons, or you just have more appetite for risk, there are plenty of promising altcoins to invest in too.
And what's "It is just too big to handle."? Nobody has to buy it Bitcoin by Bitcoin, it's not a shame to buy smaller amounts.
Yes, the fees are a problem, but actually it's a smaller problem than 2 weeks ago, really. Also nobody forces you to move around small amounts of money. Actually people advise the opposite.

Now with the recent price depression, make it the top 15.

well right now we can still compare that but after another 3-5 years i think crypto would be more than comparable in terms of its value and incomes those who early birds already gets the benefits of relaxing now and have a much better lifestyle and for us new comers well there's
still a lots of time for us to continue investing and wait for our turn.
