Title: IOTA Becomes Six-largest Currency by Market Cap yet no one can Explain its Value
Post by: TravelMug on June 14, 2017, 01:06:08 PM
Cryptocurrency users were quite surprised to see IOTA become the sixth-largest currency by market cap all of a sudden. For a project successfully completing its ICO in 2015, that is quite surprising, considering the trading markets only opened yesterday. In fact, it can only be traded on Bitfinex, which is a bit strange. Moreover, there is the bigger question of what is it that gives IOTA value. Right now this question is fairly difficult to answer.

It's a sign that things have to calm down... too much speculation leads to such situations.

When people lose money, they will focus again on the real attributes of a coin and should favor the good ones: BTC, ETH, LTC, MONA, WAVES

At least that's what I hope!

iota extremely overvalued i dont care to here from the iota goonies, i understand this token has been working for a long time to get where it is at, but a 1 billion plus market cap out the gate is way to much.

Instant transactions, quantum proof, no fees, no scability problems, years of development, corporate partnerships, VC investers, foundation members, massive community, no hype (unlike eth with Vitiliks army of shills).

Feel the Tangle baby

If you distribute initially to a tiny amount of people that are willing to collude and manipulate the market it can be 1000000000000000USD

Stealth small ico or insta ico either way you need to distribute initially to as few people who will work together.

POW is really the only way to go. All icos should be widely advertised, open ended in cap and long in duration and have a 50% pow period or the opportunity for such manipulation and collusion will always be there.
