It's quite complicated and very stressful for buyers to think that he just purchased a domain that is not available and it's because there's a glitch in their system,this could happen again and could happened to other buyers,they should address this issue right away they have a reputation to protect.

If I were to classify those domain, those are premium actually. But since you already paid for it, namecheap should have given it to you. The company is just too huge though, maybe suing them is a solution. They will offer you something big for it after all you already have the receipt which is an evidence.

I didn't even want the domains... (I wouldn't say no If they offered that tho :D) All i wanted was to get my bitcoins back. I transferred my bitcoins for nothing. And they offered no solution but threw their ToS to my face.

What happened::

I went to namecheap to check some good domains. I found bitcoin.live and bitcoin.news were available. They were 2.88$ + 0.18$ ICANN fee =3.06$ for each domain, total 6.12$

I topped up my account balance exactly with 6.12$ worth of bitcoins.

When i was about to complete the order, the error said those domains aren't available. I go back and checked again on their website, they were available.

[...]

I've had a similar issue with Namecheap a few months ago.

At that time I've used my CC for payment. At least the amount payed has been refunded in full.

But offering domains for sale which are not available at that price later is a no-go in business.
