It's also here, might be relevant

I suspect rpietila could be Mads Brügger.
"
Mads Brügger (1972) is a Danish journalist, TV-host, author and filmmaker. He has written several books, worked for magazines and newspapers, produced award winning radio programmes and hosted the critically acclaimed late night TV-programme The 11th hour as well as the daily news/debate programme Deadline. Furthermore, he has created satirical docu-series as Danes for Bush (2004) and the feature-length documentary, The Red Chapel (winner at Nordisk Panorama 2009 & Sundance 2010). Brügger is reknown for his distinctive methods of “performative journalism” as he infiltrates various milieus."

No idea, I don't even know who that dude is, but he sure as hell seems to want to imply it's his car. Sooo, unless he's also a Finnish hotel manager...

Nah, he's rpietila, coiner of "Supernode" & "rpietila public diary" fame.  That pic is just delicious shoppin' candy. A few more, for posterity (click on thumbs):

Yeah that seems to be the place where this supernode crap is supposed to take place

So far pretty consistent, but it sure smells like it was placed there to further the story.
Maybe we shall try to contact Mads Brügger and ask him out.. but then I doubt he is willing to blow his cover.

Does Brügger even speak Finnish? It's nowhere near Danish.

I didn't realize, maybe it was just me hoping to get more out of this guy.
He's my new favourite Bitcoiner you know :)

Someone have a short version of what happened with Mr. Fantastic? Did the CIA get him or what? I can't make head or tail of his maniacal blubbering.

Nothing happened. He is just trying to get more attention. Repitilia thinks he and his life are the most important thing in the world of bitcoin. IMHO he is suffering from a mental disorder. I sincerely hope he gets better. That rambling of his just makes him look like a narcissist, which he probably is.

It's a shame you guys don't understand finnish. There are some very interesting interviews and forum posts about Risto Pietila written in finnish. I'm too lazy to translate for free although the entertainment value is huge.

I'm not sure if he was also involved with silver and superfoods at one point, rather interesting stuff then... Or was that someone else...

He was and still is. He is also involved with some weird religious stuff.

So who lost the 100000 Bitcoins?

No one. That's repitilias attention whoring guesstimate of the maximum loss.

...
+1, what's really odd, though, is his concept of "the moneyed aristocracy" lifestyle.

Posing next to a 70s Rolls dressed like Riff Raff (of Rocky Horror fame) cosplay outfit, with a poetic licence addition of snazzy two-tone wingtips.
Discussing in unsettling detail the dishes he he he chose for dinner.
Flaunting his "monthly burn" -- money spent to maintain his lifestyle & his entourage...

Imagine spending time with this guy.  Being in public with him.  Being associated with him as he interacts with doormen, waiters, maids.  Cringeworthy.
But what if he's *just one* level above this, and is playing us?  What if he thinks that's *our* idea of glamorous high life, and feeds us this "fabulous millionaire as imagined by trailer-trash alcoholic" image?  Oooooo...   Spoooooky...

Might be. You never know what part of it is marketing to make profits... You always need more people investing, and making investement look good is one part of strategy...

Not that he is doing that...

At this point i'm beginning to think MXRider is right (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197842.msg2142551#msg2142551), though i hope not.  If he really is married, i'm sure his wife would know how to handle his manic episodes & not let things degenerate into ... this.
At this point:
  • He stiffed the hotel (where he was renting a large suite for use as his office?) for the entirety of his bill?
  • Quarreled with the hotel staff, accusing all but three members of sabotage and negligence?
  • At which point his room service was cut off to smoke him out & get him to leave?
Am i right thus far?  Now that his thread is locked...

He's a scammer of the same pedigree as pirateat40. Not just an internet scammer, the type that do this professionally in the real world.

We are still in the early stages of his Bitcoin scam where he tries to establish trust, he was doing pretty well but holes are starting to appear in his carefully crafted scheme.

Can't wait to see what he gets up to over the next few months.
