Title: MultiBit HD Finish Button Not Working
Post by: shamzblueworld on June 22, 2017, 05:09:31 AM
I'm using the latest version of MultiBit HD, it is opening and connecting to the network, but at the Wallet Start up page, it is stuck I cannot move forward as the Finish button that closes the page and takes you to the wallet is not active, so cannot press it. Only options available are Exit and Restore.
What should I do?

Do you see:

"Wallet Loaded successfully"
"Connected to Bitcoin Network successfully"
"Synchronised"
"Your wallet is ready to use"

Is it fully sync'd? Can you see in the bottom right corner if it says "Peers: 10" and has a green light?

Also, go into the your %appdata%/MultiBitHD/logs directory and look in the multibit-hd.log file for any error messages.

Only first two were checked and that is it, nothing happened afterwards. No peers or even the value showed up, but the amount of bitcoin showed up on the screen behind.
So after many attempts to restoring the existing wallet which failed, I restored it all from the keys again and then it worked fine afterwards. So its solved now.

Honestly, I recommend that you get your coins out of MultiBit HD as soon as possible. The software seems unstable and has at least one major known bug that still isn't fixed yet (https://github.com/keepkey/multibit-hd/issues/982).

If you're looking for a good "light" wallet, then I would recommend Electrum as a replacement. It may not look quite as "pretty" but it works and is actively being maintained.
