This transaction will not be accepted by the network and the coin will return later.

You can't send ether to a Bitcoin address.
You didn't lose anything.

Where did he send them?

He didn't send them to your BTC address.

What will happen? i've lost them?

His Ethereum wallet will not recognize a BTC address and will tell him that it is an invalid address.  Then he will ask you for the correct address so he can send the Ether.

The only person that could answer your concern would be the technical support from jaxx.io. It is either lost or they will just return back the amount you sent to the wrong address.

Try to save the private key and use myetherwaller.com to move your funds, or try to reset the blockchain of the wallet.

Of course the transaction didn't go through and was refused by the network, so money will not be lost, even if the wallet wrongly says it is.
