Title: Antminer S7 Fan Question Post by: BennyAndDeJets on June 25, 2017, 12:38:11 AM Is it possible to boot the Antminer S7 with no fans plugged into the fan headers on the actual board? I would still be running two fans that move enough air for the miner, but from the PSU.

It doesn't work if the fans are below a certain RPM sadly, a reason why the miner is not really that great for home mining. It doesn't even start with one fan, which I have tested. To compensate, putting the miner in a room with fans at 20-25% and a low ambient temperature should give you decent temperatures and good hashrate. If it runs too hot, underclock.
Title: Re: Antminer S7 Fan Question Post by: fanatic26 on June 26, 2017, 03:26:59 PM If it is a 45 chip 700 mhz S7 you can flash it with the S7-F1 firmware and run it with a single fan but there is no way to make it hash without at least one fan plugged in and readable by the OS.
