Title: Not seeing what I'd expect - mining FTC Post by: fc_flumpker on May 08, 2013, 12:29:53 AM I'm using cgminer to hit p2pool.org for FeatherCoin mining. It shows 13Mh/s but in two hours I haven't had any shares accepted. At the same time I'm running feathercoin-qt and it's showing 20kh/s but I've had 20 accepted shares in the same amount of time.
My assumption here is that cgminer is using GPU and feathercoin-qt is using CPU. Am I misunderstanding? Title: Re: Not seeing what I'd expect - mining FTC Post by: Aldanga on May 08, 2013, 01:03:15 AM Are you running cgminer with the --scrypt option?

Also, if you're mining a coin which uses scrypt, your rate should be in the KH/s instead of MH/s. Your hashrate is still pretty low for a 7970, even at intensity 15. Check here (https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison#wiki-ATI_AMD_GPUs) for some potential settings.
