I am but less than a month old into cryptocurrency and investing but I have a pretty solid basic understanding of it. so over the weekend I'll be creating a 101 guide for my buddy IRL and will post it here to help with a lot of new user questions I've been seeing. to better help me facilitate you all, please reply with 1 topic dealing with cryptocurrency you'd like to gain a better understanding of, example... - How to set up a wallet? I will get started on this later on tonight and should have it finished by sunday. reason: just trying to do my part to help other's learn. Try adding the most asked things in the beginners section. Here's a few: -How to secure their wallets such as using ledger nanos and such. -Types of wallets available (espeically the offline ones such as electrum and mycelium. -How to buy bitcoins. -Dangers of keeping bitcoins on an online exchange. For example, when I just got my first Bitcoins, depending on the amount that you've gotten, what can you do with it? I have read some of the posts here, and there are a lot of guides, but if you make one, I suggest you add that. Probably how to secure your bitcoins also, that's the important thing.

- What is Bitcoin? (Is it just a digital currency?) - How does Bitcoin work? (Blockchain technology) - What's the use of Bitcoin? - How do private and public keys work? - How do I deposit/withdraw my Bitcoins for cash? I will try my best to answer #1, but I think #1 may be saved for a later edition for intermediary/advance teachings. but I'll try my best to break it down into a beginners format. #2 will also follow the same attempts as #1 but I do see the importance in making this knowledge and aspect of cryptocurrency known to beginners so I'll try and get that included #3 will be included #4 will require some time and I think I'll make that an annex inclusion at the end of the beginners guide. That's all I can think of. #1 Yes, security is a major important factor for beginners so I will most certainly include this in the guide #2 this will be included in the guide to show the options and choices present to beginners #3 Most certainly #4 Ok, and I'll include this inside the security section from the first point you've bought up. thank you for your input! I found it a bit confusing at times and thought that it needed to be clarified more easily, in layman's terms even. If you haven't read through it, I would recommend you to do so and create a sort of synopsis on it. Add annotations on the side to explain certain technical aspects of the technology more clearly, like mining difficulty and what a hash exactly is.
The main points should be clear, though. Mining (and some sort of explanation on blocks), decentralization, deflationary controlled supply, block chain technology. As for things like wallets and addresses, that is also a key point that should be emphasized. I find that a lot of individuals new to cryptocurrencies have no idea what an address is - usually don't even know public/private keys exist - so they store all their coins on the exchanges, which is bad. If you plan on creating multiple pdfs, then separate the technicals of blocks, their headers, coinbase tx's, pub/priv key related content, into the technical one. But the aforementioned principles, I would say, should still be on the main one more all individuals. Ah, and please compress your posts into one! Double-posting is bad.
