Title: Future mining - what to deal with?
Post by: kozak.finance on July 08, 2017, 10:50:25 AM
Hello to you, all the smart and intelligent crypto people.

i have been messing with this market for quite a long period and in future plans - to start mining in a serious way. Not like all the school kids on a hype wave of last months. Got an opportunities to rent a nice areas with a low electricity price. Gonna start in the begin of september.

So the question to you is: What, in your opinion, are the most interesting and profitable cryptos to mine?

Maybe you can write two lists: what to mine and sell right now (like etc, zcash etc) and what to mine and hold - alt coins with small cap but big future.

Will appreciate any opinions, the more the better.

I guess the best coin to mine will change from time to time. Really need to monitor the price/hashrate

This will happen every time, in time you should buy extra hashing power to make the loss good again.
There is a lot to read on the forum so go learn some.  :)

In September there will be almost no profit in mining. Just mine now from your home instead of renting a facility.

That is wrong. It is the exact time when AMD RX Vega Frontier cards will be out, they will be out for another purpose but in the end they will be used for mining too. The specifics of it were terrific , people expect to reach at least 45-50 mhash on Ethereum without overclock. So those cards will be the new Eldorado of mining as soon as they arrive. There is still the GTX 1080 ti which will continue to be profitable in mining although profit will drop significantly during September and on too.

Who cares about getting 45mh/s with VEGA when 45mh/s will be about $0.50/day worth of profit.

Difficulty doubling every month, ice age will be 30 seconds in Sept, and price is ETH can still fall to $50-100 a coin.

So on your opinion when is the best way to start mining and what to mine?

I think Devs won't let happen mining process to fall beyond commercial usability
