Title: Got scammed, any way to get it back?
Post by: DerpingtonMayor on July 10, 2017, 11:25:30 AM
I'm new so sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread.

Long story short I accidentally used a scam bitcoin blender (bitcoin-blender.com or http://bitblenduun5mnwp.onion/) and got scammed for 0.1 BTC. Is there any way for me to get them back or am I just fucked? It may not seem like a lot but I spent all my money on it so it is a huge blow.

Thanks

I remember seeing their ANN thread somewhere here in bitcointalk. As the search function is limited, cannot find out. Try looking for their ANN thread and contact them. If this does not work, open a scam accusation thread, maybe you will not get back your btc but the others will be alerted.

For our mate here, my advice to you is you should be more stronger if you encountered being scammed of someone, it's a  fault done by someone who bothered you a lot and give that certain problem to you. Opening a scam accusation is a right ways to do and you really should follow the good advice from our forum members here who I considered friends. Many of them can help you, but there's also some who weren't good enough to share some ideas and help.

Well, firstly you have to explain all details of your problem. If it's wrong number you have to ask for support on the site and they will try to help you, but if it's something different - I really doybt there is a chance to chane anything.

No, the announcement thread you remember was probably from a legit service. The one the OP used sounds like a phishing clone of it. Another user got scammed, and the clone site even has a link to the legit site's announcement thread, but it's nothing to do with it.

Just looked carefully and i think this one is just a phishing clone of bitblender.io

They have link to ANN thread of bitblender https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=436467 in their homepage however when looked closely this phising site have different tor mirror address bitblenduun5mnwp.onion but original bitblender site have http://bitblendervrfkzr.onion/

This post shows how similar the two site's look to each other.

The OP of bitblender (blender (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=229601)) says the link is https://bitblender.io/index.html
Clearly the one you used is fake.
My advice is do not get deceived by the trusted certificate. You can see in the following screenshots that they really look the same and they both look legit:

ORIGINAL:

FAKE:
https://i.imgur.com/RkwXviv.jpg

Even the fake one looks more legit to me!

In as much as I feel sorry for you but at the same time, I will blame you because for you to find your way to the forum means you are really not a newbie. The hard fact is that your fund is gone and why I blame you is because of all the several reputable mixing coin services, you choose to use that one, even a click on my signature will give the maximum result at no costs. But either way, this  will serve as a eye opener for others.

A quick question, why did u use a Bitcoin blender in the first place?

Why do you have need to hide where did you coins come from?

99% of people who do that, use this service cause they obtained their coins in an illegal way and want to cover their tracks.

I d really like to understand why does this remaining 1% does it. Cause if you belong to this first 99% group, well, then a scammer got scammed. Karma is a bitch!

Basically you're fucked. You should have done your research before you used it. I really hope people do their due diligence whenever they deal with bitcoins or any other currency (be it fiat or cryptocurrency). The gullible make the scammers rich and that is also why they still proliferate in the online world. Well, good luck, but I don't think it will come back.

Yes there is no way to get your bitcoin back and this is the reason why you should check review about any service where you gonna send your valuable coins.

Regarding mixing service bitmixer.io and [banned mixer] are the only reliable and trusted platform out there. I am wondering how you came to know about this scam blender.

I agree with you mate, and all you should do is acceptance beyond what had happen. Never transact for that kind of incertain transactions online for next attemps so that certain situations like that could be avoided. To make a final conclusion about that is, it will not be retrieved anymore and just accept the fact that it was just charged to experience and served as your lessons to ponder.

Slowly forgetting it can help him recover on his lose and its better truly to make this as a lesson so that he must be aware next time upon dealing with this hoodlums around. And we should think advance before dealing so that we will no be caught by them and escrow is a must here since where dealing with people online.

Upon checking the site in whois the date made is march so it means that site is new.
I'm just wondering the same thing from other newbie here who are posted site just for getting a backlinks or promoting their own site..
Just like what happen past few years but they're the newbie poster.. I think this is part of the spamming of their own website here..
Well if this is true why he only give us the image and op is not actively responding here..

Too bad for you mate and I'm sorry to say that there's no way to get it back now. It's already in the hands of those lazy fads.

Next time always check the authenticity of the website that you are going to use.

Most of them are imitating the original ones and they are even making it more beautiful that the usual one.

I feel sorry for you mate, but it is in fact your big mistake. You already posted that this scammer site is using darknet (.onion) which is mainly used by scammers, hackers and drug sellers. There is a lot of legal sites offering mixing bitcoins. Next time just take care before dealing with unknown sites especially in the darknet.

A quick question, why did u use a Bitcoin blender in the first place?
They're better than most of the mixers I've come across.

Why do you have need to hide where did you coins come from?
Because bitcoins are not anonymous ? I don't want my Government to know what I do with my bitcoins ?

99% of people who do that, use this service cause they obtained their coins in an illegal way and want to cover their tracks.
No,that is wrong!Coinbase bans you if you've used the wallet for gambling related transactions. So why should I let them decide what's wrong for me when I can easily fool them by mixing my coins ? Makes sense ?Nothing illegal here, just too many rules over my personal wallet!Sometimes I also want to cover my tracks to keep myself hidden from the potential scammers/criminals who can be an actual threat in real life.

I d really like to understand why does this remaining 1% does it. Cause if you belong to this first 99% group, well, then a scammer got scammed. Karma is a bitch!
lol can't argue with that logic aka heights of insanity

1.  Not all illegal transactions are scams.  Transactions to buy drugs, for example, are extremely common.

2.  Not all users of mixers are doing it for illegal transactions.  Mixers are used to preserve your privacy in any situation, and many people use them before any transaction that they do.

The mentality of "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" has absolutely no place in cryptocurrencies and the freedoms they provide.

OP - unless you can track down the creators of the site and report them to the appropriate authorities, your coins are definitely gone for good.  Even if you can, they're probably gone for good anyway.  Bitcoin transactions are non-reversible.

Unfortunately there is almost no way to go after scammers on websites like this especially when you're dealing with cryptocurrencies. Luckily you only lost 0.1 bitcoins. I lost more than that when cryptsy scammed me last year. We are always taking a risk with our coins on these websites and exchanges.

Okay lets just believe that we really loss that amount of bitcoins at those exchanges,  but if you think of it,'s cheaper charges it was just a little bit dusts from your earnings from the sources you've been having. Well the risk is always present as well, so you needed to overcome fears about it; just stay focused and calm.

Cheers for the replies guys.
I usually use a site that is recommended on forums like you guys said but the site I get the link from was down at the time so I just went on google and found one. I guess that's where I went wrong.
Only one more week until payday.

Make sure you always doubled check the link because there to many clones about this sites like you used first and like bitmixer, but you can try also chipmixer, you can visit through the link on my signature campaign or just search it on this forum so you will be safe and  I will assure you that your coins are secured and completely anonymous. And to avoid being scammed also.

Sent bitcoins are gone. There is no way from a technical perspective to return a transaction.
Of course, if you know who the owner of the address you sent your coins to, you would have juridical options.
But that would most likely cost more than the amount you lost.

It is not posible to take your money back .. i suggest if you dont know and you are curious if the site you want to invest is a scam or a legit. .then try to search the information of the site. so that it will not happen again. So sorry for you just forget your money that you have lost..

Yes, that’s right mate, if those site scam you into worst situation you can’t recover that money or btc anymore. All I can advise to those who had been scammed is to move on and be vigilant on your next move in the future, so that it won’t happen again. Searching for background checks for the site’s information is a very important way to do, and most of the old trader and investors did this kind of prevention. If that happens to you, then it has a good purpose for you learn from what mistake you had from that scam site or people who negotiated you personally.

You're chances of getting back your money are so slim especially if it went through a scam site. Make sure to double check or triple check the next time you make a transaction so your money wont go to waste. Anyways, good luck to you!
