Title: Vircurex is gone?
Post by: BTC_USER_014 on May 10, 2013, 06:36:37 PM
The systems Vircurex.com and Cryptostocks.com have been taken offline over the weekend
Please do not deposit any further coins to your Vircurex accounts. We must assume that the wallet has been compromised.

Nice way to steal bitcoins. Make an exchange, then say "uh, they steal the wallet"... ;)

Another theft? No surprise. Never trust your coins to an anonymous source.

Even if they start out with honest operators, they can be bought out by a dishonest party for a high price compared to site revenues, and that new operator can just walk away with the coins.

If your Bitcoins aren't in an address that only you have the private key to, you don't really have any Bitcoins.

Sorry to all who lost out in this (and all past and future) scams.
