Title: testnet bitcoin required to test the exchange platform payout module
Post by: goel.sandy86 on July 12, 2017, 02:47:27 PM
Hello Everyone,

I am working on an exchange module which is going to be launched in India soon and it's going to the first bitcoin and altcoin exchange in the country to offer multi currency trading. I need test net coin's so that I can efficiently check the payout module with bulk transaction processing. Help is highly appreciated and all the coins will be returned to the source address's after the testing is completed.

To support kindly send the test net coins to 2NGCWHdM7eyuDeqc1fCb4vvQeNnntaYCHDov.

When I was in need of testnet coins I got them from a faucet service.  Here's the first one a search turned up:

You can most certainly make a large number of transactions with a small amount of Bitcoin. Testnet does not have very high transaction fees and Bitcoin is extremely divisible, so just make a lot of small transactions.

You can also use the Regtest network which is just a private test network. You can mine your own coins on it from the very beginning of the regtest blockchain so you will get 50 regtest coins for each block.

That faucet I linked you to provides 0.089 per request (and currently has 8.something).  I'm sure you can turn up another one or two of these testnet faucets pretty easily.  If you have 0.2-0.3 testnet coins, surely that's enough to test a large number of transactions.  For one thing, is there some reason why you don't control the receiving addresses?  If not, you just send coins back and forth as you're testing whatever you're testing.  Even if you can't recover them, at 0.3 testnet BTC you'll have 30000000 satoshis to play with.

Surely this is enough.  Anyway, I don't resent you posting here to look for testnet coins, I'm just saying how I got them when I needed them and what I did with them when I was done.

There are 4 or 5 faucets on the first page that you can easily get 2+ BTC from for testing purposes...
