Title: Which site offers the most trusted api?
Post by: Bitsbytes on July 13, 2017, 11:01:47 AM
I was wondering which one of these sites do you trust the most for making api calls to process Bitcoin payments on your site,

1. https://blockchainapi.org

2. https://bitcore.io

3. https://block.io

4. https://blockchain.info (I used them before)

I'm not aware of the first two sites but block.io and blockchain.info are both known and trusted sites but when It comes to the limits that the API provides etc, I believe that Blocktrail is the best choice.

I wouldn't recommend a service that I know is not trusted. It's worth mentioning that they got acquired by BTC.com btw.

I would not recommend other api providers than the one i am using. I do beleive on blockchain.info's secure api service.
Blockchain does not give you authority to integrate its api unless your integration point isn't reviewed.
Others let you start simply after you make an account with them. So, i think blockchain is more secure than all others

I'd go with blockchain.info, if i start a bitcoin store. a lot of folks use blockchain.info to accept payment on their site. so, which one are you using now?

Yes, blocktrail is very trustworthy. Blocktrail.com was recently acquired by BTC.com, which is owned by Bitmain. Bitmain runs multiple pools (BTC.com/AntPool and some others) that handle hundreds of BTC daily, and they also manufacture Antminers.

I'd avoid block.io as there were some accusations that they stole wallet funds (not API) on the forum.

I made a WooCommerce app a few years ago that uses Blockchain.info. That's what I'm using now. The app doesn't work anymore and I'm assuming it's because the api no longer works. I messaged Blockchain.info about acquiring a new API.
