That is the goal but the markets will ultimately decide its value once it hits them. 
This coin is not backed by fiat currency assets as there was not ICO therefore no cash asked for or held prior to release.
It is backed by the large market it is targeting and the future potential use in the remittance industry, but as described in the white paper that is part of the roadmap and is not guaranteed.

Net hashpower is already 15mh and the mining profit drops to very low level  :'(

Miners come and go, the average Joe attempts to mine as many coins as he can, I do not see the problem you mention.

I see problem in high diff with low profit, with no exchange listing yet I can't see a sense in wasting my hashpower to mine it right now. Thats all I wanted to say  ;)

Okay no probs.  That is pretty much the case with most new coins though isn't it?

Not much point in complaining about using hash-power or risk vs reward when you don't know what the eventual price will be, everyone else is in the same boat.

The choice is up to you, to mine or not to mine, that is the question, which will be answered in time.

Yes sure.

The team group is as per the website, some playing a more active roles than others. 

The main focus is first getting onto exchange(s) then we are concentrating on meeting all the requirements for a remittance licence, we are also speaking to third party merchant suppliers but banks will not involve us until we can secure the remittance license.

And securing said license is not as straight forward as it sounds, it is a very costly exercise involving multiple Government departments and agencies.

And as we did not want to do an ICO for this coin, we feel it has more credibility the fact that the whole funding process was done in-house.

This also means the costs involved with getting the above mentioned permits, approvals and licenses is also on the back of our small team, not investors. 

So, again, work in progress......

I don't want to go there.

This project is self funded by a small group of people without any ICO, we don't have the capital to expand to the bigger exchanges yet, although I wish we could. 

Our first priority is to be listed on AN exchange, then we will be looking to have the Android app created.

From there we will look to go on some bigger exchanges.

Listing in YoBit is a bad idea.They're shady and scammy as shit. They don't even fix the PSB wallet. You should have listed it first to cryptopia or c-cex. These two are good for startups.

Yobit does not respond to support requests and the fee has been paid and submission completed - we're just waiting to hear back. we have no idea what their backlog is for adding new coins.

If they did not get back to you after two weeks, that means they declined your adding request and just took your money, that's the dirty tactic of Yoshit.

Thats why I'm personally don't like Yobit, they are very unnecessary guys, coin listing always delaying , big part of coin's wallets very offen under maintenenc, mess exchange.

if that is the case; which remains to be seen - it's only a minor disappointment since we're working with other exchanges on a listing.

quite frankly we are targeting much higher - 750 sats.

the miners who control the coin at this point can demand higher values

750 sats is only 2 US cents per coin - keep the price high. Protect your investment.

We are in this for the long run not short term profits - the value will go much higher over time, especially after block rewards decrease.

Just thoughts...The problem of this coin is that with low hashrate, like now, the reward per block is very low so the coins are very hard to mine with more or less good hashpower, so mining of this coin with all this features make sense with the price only in a few thousands of sats and more, that is not very realistic. All this with total supply 500m.
And again, just a thoughts, and maybe something to think about.

to clarify: The Block Reward has nothing to do with Hash Rate. the same number of blocks get generated per hour regardless of network hash (excluding 0 nethash). Right now with low Nethash could not offer a better time to miners to latch onto OFW!

Now is the time to mine while Network hash remains low and block rewards remain high. That is the key to profitable mining!

I mean that with low block reward my share at pool, have 120mh from all 1500mh in explorer at that moment, so small, its a few hundreds of coins per day lets take 500 for now,  that with your price in 750 sats that you'r counting on I'll be have only 0.00375btc per day and all this with hashrate in very low level!!!
All i want to say that I personally cant see any sense to mine OFW with existing ratio of reward/hashrate/diff.
All said above is apply only specs part of project, and besides it there is goal/idea part that have no something special.

let me give you some food for thought about your pools 120 mhs out of a networkhash of 1,500 mhs

OFW generates 20 blocks per hour which mean 480 blocks per day.
assuming your pools has 120 mh/s and the network hash is 1,500 mhs - you have 8% of network hash

that means your pools will find 8% of 480 block daily which is: 36 blocks

36 block x 100 coins per block = 3,600 coins

If the coins sell at 750 sats, that is .027 BTC per day which is FUCKING INCREDIBLE!

Seriously - that is .000225 BTC per MH/s (.027 / 120)

The best paying  X11 coin right now is Arctic Coin which is only paying .00008879 BTC/MH/s

Therefore if OFW sells for 750 sats that means it will pay 2.53 times more that ARC

OFW is a miners dream and everyone is overlooking it....

Count your lucky stars your mining it and are getting some of the 100 Coin blocks.

The practice telling that your math is wrong, not even close to your 3600 coins per day with 120mh, you are far from reality.

They incoming is in very strict relation with chain diff and total pool hashpower. If you mine in solo with 10% of the power for 1 day, is not sure that you earn the 10% of the coin, because if  all the chain power is pointed into 1 pool, they always resolve block, and you get nothing.

Mining is not point your rig there and press "OK", you have to test your Power and check if you are in the right way.

I solo mine NLG with 1,800 mh/s scrypt power (which is only 3.6% of network hash) and I find my fair share of blocks every day  been doing that for months no problem.

even though you may only have a small % of network hash you are going to find your fair share of blocks - when I say 'small' let's be reasonable too. If you're talking less than .05% yes - it will be tough
The fact that I found my fair share of blocks yesterday with just 150 mh/s proves that mining is fair. Bigger pools find block more quickly but everyone gets their fair share.

Just remember, you find Blocks, not coins. You are mining for Blocks. You either solve for the block or you don't - there's no in between - there's no sharing of blocks between pools. Once the pool finds a block it divides the block reward up among the miners that contributed to that 'round' based on the number of shares they submitted during the round * the difficulty assigned to their shares.

Isn't a problem, just mine in a pool with some worker that  are able to submit a block

A share, is submitted only on a "certain diff", i mean:
if the coin diff is 1, you have to mine 100 share at 0.1 diff.

Now the PoW diff is 68.5, so you have to do x=68.5/your diff before see a share

that's a good start - I have an opportunity to get the coin listed on coinexchange.io for a hefty fee, but I'm going to wait for Yobit to come through. In my estimation, although yobit can be seedy and put coins in maintenance for no apparent reason - they do have huge volumes and lots of eyeballs. I think they're a great a starting point with the real goal of polo or trex.

These projects do well for small countries, first get on CoinMarketCap... then go to other exchanges.

Being on CMC with only one exchange is really enticing for new and fresh HODL'rs because there is room for growth that is easy to see in the (sometimes) minutes you have to decide on whether to buy the coin or not before the pump.  Who wants a quick pump?  We want hodlers.  Hodlers happen when they see potential for growth.

Stay calm, buy dips, wait for CMC and then take over the... well, get listed on other exchanges.

so that's a way far as of now but keep promoting and make more interesting updates regarding to this project I think more exchange

Any good news about this coin? I would recommend to see if you can get your coin listed on Nova Exchange or Cryptopia. Those are much better sites than yobit. If you can add bitfinex too or poloniex to up the ante.

It is already on nova, but like with most coins there, it's worthless. Needs a better exchange and coinmarketcap to promote volume.

Its utility which gives a coin worth not the pricetag attached to speculation.  Chicken and the egg scenario there, really it just has to be in some usage big or small by a collection of people and you have your economy and other factors accumulate to add value.   Thats how it always goes, its how bitcoin started off and nobody thought anything would happen of that really including myself.  Stay humble in the aspirations and anything is possible really, alt coins have the problem of people expecting too much ?   run before we can walk or something like that.  I had to reinstall stuff so have been offline but I will return to staking because why the heck not, its an easy coin to use :)

What is the format of the nodes list to help this wallet connect.  Is it just a text file called nodes.list and if so why isnt this included with the wallet itself.   As it is now noobs will be a bit lost as to why the wallet does nothing further when executed.  I think its a mistake if the newest users have a harsh learning curve to progress with any product, if an expanding market is wanted then its best not to exclude anyone even the casual interest installers of OFW.

It will be hard for the remittances to accept crypto as a medium for stored value. So they need to build a platform where you can exchange your crypto into fiat. Like what coinsph did. And also what Pesobit project did when it was still active.

I know he is working full time as well and might just be busy or away on business hence the name of the coin!.    If any coin was reliant on one person only it would not really succeed, its also down to the users especially with a proof of stake coin, we are the network and miners after all.    I still need that peer list if anyone wants to just quickly copy and paste me their last used details, I dont know if theres a blockchain list of them somewhere as well.  
 The reason I ask on this thread especially is that I know that random passing users could also use this info, it would be useful data to have listed here for the newbie users.

Sounds good, does the pool allow people to mine all kinds of coins and then opt to receive payment in one single coin or pool and block reward is kept separate because I'm only a small miner so generally avoid using BTC to move value now due to fees

I've asked for help many times in this thread and no one wants to step up. Everyone is full of advice, but none want to help - ever for a slice of the pie.

If your serious about getting help/suggestions from the community...then how about opening a Discord / Telegram Channel, so ppl can communicate in Real Time?

Doing the job alone is very difficult since crypto is not an easy task, the development might be that slow but i think the dev is not stopping to do his job to make this coin stay and alive and still tradeable. At this point, we can just wait or help him to do something that would help the coin.

When you are ready bring a telegram group link up here. Perhaps we can luckily meet people that are ready to help this project. Anyone that cares will join and probably discuss a way forward

Thing is with proof of stake is everyone is mostly equal.   Any stake holder has an interest in the wider network and confirms transactions based on that trust.   If you want to setup a telegram group and publicise it here I dont think anyone would be against it so long as its free speech based.   I cant see a problem with that

A friend of mine bought this @ over 200sats .The founder should just declear this project dead. I hate seeing the value of this shit coin..  Why on earth did you come with something you weren't ready to develop ? You only deceive people to buy this in order to enrich your pocket... Price doesn't describe much more then current market demand at the moment, didnt Doge coin goto 1 SAT at some point and then back to 200.   Some markets are very variable in the amount of coins available, like you say the base amount of coins is not very great so its possible for it to grow alot with only a small amount of interest.

Some POS coins I've held for a few years and its survived because it only needs the wallet holders to keep staking and it will process transactions, so this form of network can be quite resilient and low maintenance in that way.   I do think POS could come into the limelight in 2018, Im not going to sing the praises of OFW but its possible it gains more attention in future.
I'm bias in view because I think POS might take over from POW due to efficiency considerations, I've read as much from others criticising NEO as inferior but rating POS highly vs POW
