John McAfee Claims one Bitcoin Will be Worth US$500,000 in Three Years

Price predictions in the Bitcoin world are always rather interesting. Especially considering how the price turned very bearish over the weekend. It now appears the Bitcoin price is slowly rebounding, which is a positive sign. John McAfee feels one Bitcoin can become worth as much as half a million Dollars in three years. A rather bold statement, although he also added an incentive to his vision.

Honestly, I would be so happy if this scenario would indeed come true but I think the man is also fantasizing. yes, Bitcoin can have a surge after August 1 like it never did before but there would always be challenges ahead plus there would always be forces who can work against Bitcoin derailing some of its growth potential.

However, I am holding to my Bitcoin just in case this level can come true, who knows? In the past one year that am involved with Bitcoin, I know that it is one of the most unpredictable beasts there is. I know that its value can soon rise to astronomical level but to say a definite figure may not really come true.

This is anyway serving us an inspiration to never give up on Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency in general.

John McAfee is fomous investor, and that man has a lot of twitter followers. Such a bold forecast of 500 000 per 1 BTC and his assurances about eating his dick in case of failure, makes me think about nearest bitcoin longtherm uptrend, as we see now. So John prediction may be very close to truth.

That's a really an idiotic forecast to be honest. We're even lucky to get to $10,000 by that time. For sure we won't see $500,000 levels in the near future. Heck, we might not even see that ever. That's too high to even be a number for bitcoins. Think about 1 satoshi would be worth 0.005$ and a transaction fee of 0.0001 would be worth $50! How the hell will people send a simple transaction by that time?

Of course, we would be happy to see the price of bitcoin reach this high. Having just 1 full BTC would make someone a millionaire already. But the question is, can bitcon 'realistically' touch this price in the future? For me, I highly doubt it could happen. John McAfee is somewhat bizarre or eccentric person, so I will not take him seriously. If it happen then good, but I wouldn't be surprise if it didn't.

I like the bullish tint to these kind of articles, but on the other hand, the nonsensical factor (the insane predictions in this case) is what makes these people look like an (sorry to say) idiot. It has once again to be stated, Bitcoin isn't a miraculous asset that just jumps to insane levels in a matter of years. Bitcoin has been growing nicely in the last years, and I have no doubt that it will continue to be so in the next years as well. I think John has to admit that he needs a proper reality, or even a mental stability test.

Now these articles really fulfills bitcoin's vision as open-source currency by adding random predictions and rumors to Bitcoin. :D It seems like everyone right to give his own theory about future bitcoin price.
Well, current rise is just due to Segwit2x hovering over split thus enthusiast holders and speculators. No one knows which path bitcoin will be in a year or two.

I dont think so. 500.000 for one Bits? Nah, not going to happen like in a decade. As it was said in the beginning, there is an opposing side that hates Bitcoin. Banks. They won't let such a boom happen
