Title: cryptodao.com SCAM
Post by: lavrvs on July 21, 2017, 12:32:17 PM
What happened::
Couple of days ago I wanted to buy some aschcoin and according to aschcoin mainpage here the only exchange in english was cryptodao.com. I transfered some ltc but due to low trade volume I decided to use other exchange and sent ltc to my jaxx wallet.
I've a withdrawal request confirmation letter and printscreen of trancaction completion but still got no my ltc.
And moreover I cannot login to cryptodao.com because the system tells me that my email address is not valid which is nonsense.
I've sent an email to their admin, PMed to cryptodev2014, sent twit @cryptodao but got no reply at all. I made some due diligence (which had to be done before, my fault) and it seems like cryptodao is not trustworthy.
I lost my money and I'm not the onlly one who got scammed.
You need to remove cryptodao.com from your page as soon as possible. Don't let people be scammed!

I can see many scam accusations recently against cryptodao. Some user complained that he did not receive his PPT tokens and the DT members have already tagged the said user which means that the site shouldn't be trusted. I also have some coins on the site but since the value is lesser than the withdrawal fee, I left it on the exchange. In any case, there is barely any volume on the exchange and plus every coin can easily get listed here as the price of listing a coin is too less. Altcoins dev shouldn't list their coins there until the matter is resolved by cryptodao admin. He was online today (with his thread locked (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1844290.msg20029527#msg20029527)) and hopefully he replies here.

Also had the same yesterday, withdrew a small amount of BTC, waiting for a day for any sign of confirmation and no response from the support.

aprrox around 5BTC in token, they replied it but they did not admit it.
it's a terrible scam attempt, they may be want to shut down their site so they're trying to scam people.
beware guys,it's not the first time they scammed people and it won't be the last.

try to avoid or best don't ever deposit on cryptodao unless you wanted to give your money to them.

PS : they're answering every question about it,but they didn't admit it.don't they feels any shame ?

Thanks for using the correct format to submit this scam accusation, it has been a long time since I have seen the correct format, especially from a newbie.

The site seems to be relatively well made and has no obvious looks of it being a scam, but I don't think you will be getting your coins back. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=901136 Here is his profile and it is painted with red paint from DT-2 users, which means it most likely is a scam, sorry for your loss.

Too hard for him to have found that before using that site, just unlucky.

Have some btc that stuck in "Unconfirmed" status when Im tryed to withdraw it already a 2 weeks ago, they are not responding to messages in chat and via e-mail that I had sent a lot already.
So I must say that  CRYPTODAO IS A SCAM EXCHANGE

You should have probably checked the status of the admin before sending any btc to the site. The admin has stopped replying a long time ago and I don't get why even now coins are trading on that site. Some of my coins are too stuck there and I don't care to withdraw them.

I had successful withdrawals from this exchange but last one was a couple months before, so I didnt know that they became scam category exchange, if I did, I would got out my coins long time ago of course. I haven't big amount there like people from this or similar topics, only 0.03btc or something like, but I hope they will choke-bore it.

My withdrawals are showing as unconfirmed since 2 months ago (about 40 BTC). Sent emails but no reply. Exchange seems to still have some life, they added new coins few days ago.

Could this be the people behind it and their new website?

 https://dao.casino

They posted that they plan to have casino too.

Maybe this is coincidence but some information matches.

From their casino post they mentioned trying to get license from Curacao/United Kingdom.

Also, Crypto DAO is registered in United Kingdom.

DAO Casino person (named Ilya Tarutov) said on CoinDesk interview that he is seeking approval from Government of Curacao to operate the games.
