I want to install bitcoin blockchain node on my web server. Need wait 1 august? or does not metter.. will need be update software on server or not? Who know this technical details? In fact, august 1st is probably a horrible time to do that since BIP 91 activates tomorrow. To best avoid seeing blockchain reorgs, you should build and run the segsignal patch of Bitcoin Core. The code that you should build is available here: https://github.com/segsignal/bitcoin
