Title: Reasons to buy IOTA
Post by: evergrow on July 22, 2017, 08:58:15 PM
I think this is a very interesting project and I heard about 0 fees. Can you believe it? Zero Fees. Damn baby. Honestly I was on the brink of clicking the buy button when I changed my mind. Yes. Cause I was browsing Bitcointalk at the same time and I had been doing this for some time. Posts by "iotatoken" - who {and this is what I learned a couple days later} is a CEO of this project - made comments that seemed so sociopathic and distasteful that my stomach told me to stay away from this. Seems weird. Will it be forked?
Thanks for all of your answers in advance!

I missed the train when IOTA was cheap. Then I investigated a lot and saw it has a serious potential to grow more and more.

It can be tradeable on Bitfinex which is my favourite Exchange. And they have IOTA Exchange as well for trade.

8th placed was filled by IOTA in coinmarketcap web site with $751,876,839 total cap. These are all reasons.

Both representatives from the company are extremely unprofessional and combative on this forum. However, I think Iota has a clear path to real life use cases, which I believe is an important aspect of a coin's value. Despite the attitudes, I've invested.

Is there a reason to fork iota? The iota just tries to offer the better problem to solve the actual use and no more. 0 fees look weird for me, but in this time the price of iota already dropped. and i believe you will see it gets a pump as fast as possible. This just like a speculation about iota. Try to look at the chart and you will see it.

Its only 27 cents for this coin.  Can the person who mentioned what they mean when it was cheap?  27 cents for a coin with potential is very cheap.

i like the tech behind iota but it has been inside-traded alot.. no natural growth, and out of nowhere, 1.5 B mcap lol.. Buy it if you want to make the whales and shills richer.. I'll prolly buy it when it gets cheap and the holders hands get tired of their bags

That's not cheap at all considering how many of these coins there are, the supply is ridiculous.

As the tech looks good and it is top coin, you could consider to buy a bit and add it to your portfolio.
But dont go all in one coin.

IOTA is a useless token, its just hype and bs due to IOT in it just buzzwords.

Raiblocks is way better, it has zero fees and a bitlattice tech

Don't look at coin price, look at total market cap. Coin price is irrelevant.

Iota is a scam. My comment is about something else.

If a transaction has 0 fees, imagine how serious the network can be attacked  with flood and spam having 0 fees.

0 fees won't work, even with a real decentralized coin , not to mention iota scam.

Many people do not understand this.
Although in the long term a price increase is possible.

Invested when it was "cheap". Still a bit concerned about 0% fees but let's wait to see some real results about this project.

I've actually gained some free Bitcoin recently & I have high hopes for IOTA's future. Ive been converting my Bitcoin into IOTA.

5-10 years from now it will be a lot more valuable!  Speculation is a fantastic thing. It's also got a great following & Its market capital will only rise alongside bitcoins.

I've made 100,000 Bitcoin satoshi in a week from this site. If you want to get some before they start rising to convert into IOTA then this is great!

It's a faucet which gives you coins every five minutes, not sure how they profit from it, but I love a freebie!

;D A friend told me to buy it when it reached the top 10 spectacularly, which made me very surprised and did not understand why. Soon afterwards I researched about it and felt that something was wrong with the bitcoin being split and I hypothesized that it could beat BTC and ETH at the time or not and then after reviewing everything I sold all IOTA and decided not to invest in it for some reason.

There is no answer to it, I buy it because I like, I do not bother too much on the coins and their value, I just look at the project, and I believe it will succeed.
