Should I invest On BITCOIN right Now or Later of August 1. Or
 Should I go with Altcoin, If Altcoin Than Which Altcoin is Best for long run investment like 1 year .Please mention the altcoin names

First advise, do not listen to random people on the internet  :D but reseach on your own.

For now I would not buy BTC anymore before August 1st, if you wanna look into altcoins you should first have understood the basics of bitcoin and then do a reseach on the specific altcoin you wanna invest into.

If you do your research you'll see that bitcoin will split in the near future, resulting in two versions of bitcoin, both claiming to be the real bitcoin.
This will cause complete havoc in the bitcoin economy, crashing the price to new lows. That's where you'll have a small opportunity.
But make sure to cash out after you make a little profit because a complete recovery is extremely unlikely.

I guess it is not the best time today to invest you can see the bitcoin market value today is so high that it almost reach the price of 3000$ so i guess the good time to invest in bitcoin is when it reach the price of 1800$ just last week i guess so its already to late i also know that the bitcoin will continue increasing its market value because of the success in segwit.

I don't think if it's the right time to invest some bitcoin right now, but if you knew that on the past week because of the bitcoin price go down that's the time you should invest but of course it is not too late to invest some bitcoin right now. It is not too late, because we don't know maybe bitcoin  price may double next year or maybe on the upcoming Segwit this 1st of August, so invest some mate it is not too late.

people asked this last week and price went up $1000, those who bought are winners now.
people asked this again last year, price went up about $2000 ever since, people who bought back then are winners now.
and they have been asking this ever since 2009-2010 that price was as low as $1 and only a small group of people bought bitcoin and never listened to FUD. they are the "wealthy elite" now.

Well the price has pumped a lot so its possible it can drop again but generally August 1 is only good for bitcoin so I expect when segwit activates properly in the middle of august that bitcoin will rise a lot in value.

Thinking of it like that now is a good time to buy in without considering the very short term volatility.

Nobody can tell what will happen to price on 1st august but on long term you can be sure that price of bitcoin will rise. So just invest what you can afford right now and don't keep thinking about it looking at $100-200 dump/pump. That is just a normal market swing, just don't sell your bitcoin for loss after you buy it.

Buying back right now would be a big risk especially that the bitcoins' price went back to 2500+USD. If you are willing to take the risk then so be it and buy bitcoins right now but remember that you must not put all your money and only those that you can afford. 
At the end of the day, it your decision that counts whether or not you'll buy bitcoins.
Investing in altcoins would be good too.

yes although no one can predict about the price of bitcoin 100% correctly, but still there are so many experiened people who are giving good prediction about the price of bitcoin, so to me i think investing in bitcoin in present position can be more profitable.

There could be new strats that could emerge after august 1 but on my observation, a  lot of fresh investors are basing there judgement on few people whom they could think that has lots of experience but i think it is better to have own research and own reading so you yourself can make your own strategy then try to compair with others on who has applied better strategy.

Wait first on what is about to happen before August 1 and it's better to buy after a couple of days on the month of August.


You can go with alt coin but I will always prefer to invest directly with bitcoin.

The price is at around 2.7K right now which is pretty high for Bitcoin so I wouldn't recommend investing now due to hard fork coming out soon. Bitcoin was at around 2K a week ago, and that would have been a good time to invest. August the first will shock a lot of people but the price should stay relatively the same.

If you want to take the risk, invest now, but if not just wait after August the first.

how much money you want to invest in bitcoin or altcoin? if you want to invest your money equal with 1 bitcoin, then i think you can use 0.7 btc as in bitcoin and use only 0.3 btc to invest in altcoin. and if you decide like this, maybe you can invest with ethereum classic, gnt, and rise because i see this will be good after 1 year. i think there is more altcoin which will bring you good profit after 1 year but you need to search by your self so you can decide what coin you want to buy.

I think that you better invest after 1st of August. Because now all prices can still change drastically. Of course you do not want to lose, so waiting for the right time is my advice. You can stay awake and get security in investing. Better to wait than to lose some of the money you have.

If you had invested in bitcoin when its price was just $1850,it would had been a golden chance for you.Now,its almost $2750.But still,its not late since bitcoin price is expected to go higher than this after segwit activation.So better buy it now itself before its too late.

my person view is that investment in bitcoin in current price  will surely be a good investment. in fact the price of bitcoin has still a very good potential and it is more expected that after 1st August the price will start increase therefore to me i think if we invest money in bitcoin right now then we will have good chance to make more profit because it will become difficult to get chance and invest money in bitcoin specially in present price.

I think you should watch the table first before deciding to invest as of now the price of bitcoin is higher compare to last week...you could have earn good today if you made your investment when bitcoin falls last week...for now I suggest you wait after August 1 and we'll see if it will turns to reasonable long term investment...

This is also my personal view. Its really hard to answer the question because of the current situation that we are facing. So for me, much better to wait till after Aug 1, when everything has settled down and see what is the direction that bitcoin is going. There are still uncertainty surrounding this date and we are not totally sure of the outcome. Just hold on your money for now and yeah, wait till Aug 1 and see how its turns out. At least you are not going to panic or nervous when Aug 1 date comes.

We all really wanted to get our hands on that precious bitcoin. But there are times that you should have to wait because the timing is not right for buying. And with the current situation looming surrounding Aug. 1, I must say that you should wait for a little bit before getting your bitcoin. I think it is dumb to say invest after August 1. If you want to have success you need to take risks. Don't do what most people do, be bold. The time to invest was two weekends ago when the market was in panic. Again, another example of doing what the masses aren't doing. If everyone is saying wait til August 1, you better invest now. We can use some indicator from Forex as Bollinger Band, Fibonacci, Moving Average ... for technical analysic :)

August 1st is already irrelevant.FUD is already over and the price is starting to kickoff. And this question has been answered over and over in this forum. No matter what the consequence is, the answer will always be now. it is never wrong to invest in bitcoin now.

Everyone should trust bitcoin. What if i tell you that what will happen on 1 Aug as you know that bitcoin is a number 1 currency so how would you say that what will happen on 1 Aug there will be happen like that like the price will go upward which will cross the line of all the currency which are ranked in a market. Waiitng is not strategy for this kind of situations.Community expect volatile market conditions on 1 August. That's why everybody gonna to sell their bitcoins due to avoid loss which can be caused by hard fork.

No. As usual any time must be the right time for investing into bitcoins  regardless of what is going to happen by august 1. Even in the case of occurrence of chain split, I do not think both the chain will come down. The high power chain will grow with the name as bitcoins. Then why we need to invest into altcoins now ?

If you really think that the price of bitcoin would go up ,then why would you wait ,if you have the money just invest in it and think about it later,no matter what everything will be fine when things settles down and the price would rise,even if there is a split you will be earning those coins at a 1:1 ratio,so in my mind there is nothing to worry at the moment.

I think is better to invest now in bitcoin than to wait till later when the market value of Bitcoin will increase to the level that you cannot afford to buy and earning from signature campaign will then be reduce as a result too. I was in this same confusion early last year when the value of Bitcoin was around  $1000 or below but afraid to buy and currently the market value of Bitcoin has double now. What do you mean by low and how low do you think it's going to be? I was planing on buying before aug 1st and now that btc-e is shut down, I'm expecting some kind of a drop, unleast for a $100. As far as I know, whether you invest before or later of August 1st, the result will be the same, which is you will profit if you keep it in a long time.

I'm waiting to get a small pool of money from a few friends. We all decided to get about $1,000 dollars. Hopefully by September. Then we will get bitcoin at whatever price it is. And keep it. We will add to it every 3 months. It will be like a savings/investment. We have no wish to trade or invest other than just to grow our balance. Maybe this is an idea for you.

It depends to you if you want to invest now  you can buy but dont invest all your money in bitcoin. You can invest only you can afford to lose. But dont forget to invest your money in bitcoin after the august 1 because for sure the price will increase.

The idea itself is nice at first glance, but it seems like it is something you guys came up with after a night drinking. :D How will that work out in terms of funds being stored? Who stores and has access to the funds? Have you thought about a scenario where one of your friends may run off with the funds? Seriously, no matter how well you think you know your friends and family, there is always a possibility where they will just steal the funds. Money makes even friends and family do things you never expected from them. ;) If you ever going to proceed with this, at least make sure you make use of multisig. Google it. ;)

If you were to invest, then invest after 1st August. I think that there is going to be a lot of panic because even though BIP91 has gained a lot of support(actually well over 80% at the moment looking from last 1k blocks perspective) the bitcoin cash fork is going to go through on 1st August.

However if you are impatient and want to invest before 1st August then make sure you store your private key securely. Do NOT use an online wallet service because they may not be able to provide you with tokens on both blockchains. Make sure you hold your own private keys, so that after the fork you can claim your BCC coins and do w/e you want with them.

I have very same problem, it is hard to time when to go in buying precious btcs. But it might be good time right now as we expect something similar to halving that can create bull market.

My advice to you mate is you should  hold your bitcoin for several days days and never mind that creation of bull market, anyways it doesn't make sense investing additional holding while we stil not certain after the changes when August came. You should sell later your remaining coins and I am confident of the price to be rising up higher in the near future. It is good always to invest now but make sure its a good timing when the market is low peice. Your dream was too big unless you have a very big capital to invest and in just a matter of $3000 per bitcoins you can make a lot of profit .If you invest today expect it will have a great profits after a year .Lastly investing blindly in bitcoins is not worth because for sure you don't know what happen every single day in bitcoins and you are not aware of fluctuation you might sell it of afraiding to lose.

At this point I don't believe the market will suffer from a significant decrease in price (aside from the usual 5-10% fluctuations). If the market would respond in a negative manner so close before the first of August, it would have gone down already. Also don't forget that people are waiting for the moment BCC comes to life. Especially for large holders it doesn't make any sense to sell any of their coins. It would mean that they might miss out on an opportunity to convert their free BCC into BTC. In other words, BCC is incentivizing people to keep holding their BTC despite their initial hard fork fear.

I guess you are claiming not perfect based on scalability issue but in my view it is common for any coding not to foresee future requirements. Moreover in initial versions, Satoshi designed with 32 MB blocks but after that he changed into 1 MB just to simplify setting up full node hassles.

Right now price is very high you are right about that, but in future price might be much more higher. I think the same thing people were talking 2 years ago when price was 300$, like price is high I will wait to drop more to buy, well as you can see now is 10 times higher. And if for two years bitcoin reach 30.000$ now price not seems so high, I wanted to point that all is just a point of view.
