Title: Same cards, different hashrate for ETH & ETC on claymore 9.7 windows 10 (MPH)
Post by: ateng on July 24, 2017, 10:24:45 PM
I mine on mininghubpool with autoswitching algo, and hashrate for ETH is higher than ETC. I'm curious, does anybody knows why? I thought both uses ethash?

Can't be DAG size since ETH is currently on epoch #135 & ETC is #138, both are slightly over 2GB. Can it?

Sorry about the img quality, basically on RX470 hashrate is reduced by 0.4MH/s, and R7 370 is 0.07MH/s less

Yes. It's is the dag size. Every new Epoch AMD cards will lose hashrate. When ETH reaches 138 epoch will perform like ETC today. Claymore and Wolf believes that AMD may fix dag issue in the next drive, that may be around 2 weeks.
