Post by: aantonop on May 14, 2013, 02:37:28 AM
After just five days, we have already listed press contacts who speak 18 different languages, from 16 countries, a total of more than 50 bitcoin experts available for interviews with the world media.

Here's the list of languages:
Dutch
English
Farsi
Finnish
French
German
Greek
Hebrew
Hungarian
Italian
Japanese
Korean
Mandarin
Portuguese
Romanian
Russian
Spanish
Ukranian

Want to add a press contact? Someone famous and credible from your country/language? Or, perhaps you want to add yourself as a press contact?

Go to bitcoinpresscenter.org
Register a user account
Click "Add Contact" and provide as much information as possible.

Do you know journalists for print, radio or TV in your country writing stories about bitcoin? Tell them about the bitcoinpresscenter.org site so they can find experts for interviews!

Thank you for your support

Andreas

Good work Andreas. I move that this post be stickied in this section ... (labelled "Press" strangely enough)

... also wondering if there is any policy regarding pseudononymous "experts" getting posted to the press center?

Thank you for the support.

There is no filtering on the contacts. Here's the FAQ (http://bitcoinpresscenter.org/page/faq), let me know if it needs more clarification.

There will be endorsements, reviews, link ratings and such over time to help some contacts bubble up to the top. For now the ranking is random.

Nice job.
I can see that European languages are well represented :)

I think your idea just got vetoed by jgarzik who not only didn't make it sticky, but instead pushed it out of the forum. That's probably because it is not about press mentions and citations, so off-topic.

Ugh, so much for inclusivity ... suspect it was a final FU for not getting his way with THE other press center. In the old days, initiatives like this would have been welcomed and stickied gratefully. Now the power plays and jealous temper tantrums seem to be the order of things.

If this is not press related wtf is?!

I assume that the topic was simply off-topic since the forum is specifically for linking stories in the press.

Jeff and I have disagreed, but he's never shown any ill will towards me, not at all. We disagree on some of the means, but we are all pushing for bitcoin's success.
