Yes, if you spam you will be banned.

Consequences are:
  • Get kicked out of your campaign
  • Get your name on the Signature Managers Against SPAM list
  • Get banned from the Forum (if there have been multiple warnings without improvement)

Here's a more thorough list of what's expected and what will get you in trouble: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1741988 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1741988)

The reply above says it all, although there are several campaigns which are from altcoins campaigns has too many spam posters nowadays that managed by some worse manager or maybe even worst. And some mod here get an action to that, so if you are going to participate some signature once your rank grows then take your time to read this guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0

Lol. Is there such thing? Spamming is prohibited. Or as others were saying, you'll get kicked out of this forum. Also it's hard to join any signature campaigns because you are labeled as spammer. So better get your post quality. Quality means contructive and helpful to community. Check the guidelines before jumping to a signature campaign. If you don't comply with the rules. I think it will be better if you don't join any signature campaigns because they will just kick you out of their campaign.

You know, posting quality post is not that hard. Just think it's your way to help users on this community.

What kind of campaigns is this ? I've never heard of such.
Anyway don't spam the forum otherwise you can face the consequences of getting banned and most of the signature campaigns literally lock out anyone who looks like a spammer from his post history.

Try to make good quality posts that add something to a discussion. That's how you get better.

He is probably talking about the recent thread that got deleted because of the extreme spam that was coming from the campaign.

Joining a signature campaign and making constructive posts in the whole forum it's ok. Paying users to do insubstantial posts in their threads is already against rules, but it was even worse considering that the campaign from Decentraland was allowing users to do 10 posts per day in the same thread.

Here is theymos answer:
That is very much not allowed (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434310.0). The threads are trashed, the poster is banned for 60 days, everyone who participated is banned for 3 days, and everyone who participated cannot display a signature for 30 days.

You and the poster above you are the only ones who actually read the title. These other people can't read. The title says "pay to spam" which means as it says being paid to spam. Nowhere does it suggest spamming in any campaign then people post their reply and tho a few lines about the wrong thing.

Anyway if you have to ask then you already know the answer.  Ignoring the fact that the form doesn't allow it, it is a horrible thing to do. Esspecially if they want you to spam negative comments or try take down other coins or invade their threads. Just imagine the utter choas that would cause ? Noone will be another to post anything without being stacked by spammers. It would basically run the forum. It can happen. I have seen and expierenced online games becoming unplayable because of hackers and the same will happen here except instead of hackers they spammers. You shouldn't even be entertaining this notion and I'm not sure why you are. Let it die please.

Pay to spam?  ;D
What do you think? Of course it's not allowed to spam.
You will be kicked out of the campaine and get banned.
You won't be kicked out of campaign if it is pay-to-spam campaign however someone will probably hit you with ban hammer.
