The best practice is to make the first 100-500 blocks empty rewards, so that the first to download the program doesn't get all the reward. I still think this can be a great coin though. So many coins don't have empty blocks that I can't justify writing off a coin over some instamining. Yep, it's from that source.. the checkpoint is actually 5th block now, but either way, it's not syncing with any nodes, it's rejecting everyone it's found including the source node which is up to block 1100+ already but apparently on a different chain to the one that's in the github. Does it mean PoW will become normal again? I don't think the net hash was actually some farms kicking in. Since the values became 10GH+, all the blocks(from 1155) have turned PoS. I guess that's probably why most hybrid coins do a certain amount of PoW blocks before turning PoS. - Build a test lab - Test the process thoroughly - Ensure all software is clean from A/V checks - Ask for some testers - Test both solo and pool mining - Make connections/partnerships with the pools, exchanges, etc (get the ducks into a row as best as possible) - Provide up-to-date information of the process - Set a specific time and even a link to the clock when the launch will occur. Launch again. Got one more chance. One strong recommendation that was mentioned, I would follow as well; have the first set of blocks empty or little in reward. Those would be considered as test blocks during the launch.
