Hey guys, I'm just wondering, what is/are the best wallets that I can use for ethereum? Or other alt coins? Can you kindly tell me, because I still don't have a wallet for altcoins. Hoping that you can help me. :)

You can use Ethereum Wallet or MyEtherWallet.
I can't promise they're the best, but they are both good imo :)

You can also use Jaxx if you're planning to hold only the biggest altcoins (you can't add custom tokens)

Best wallets for ethereum is ether wallet. You can go myetherwallet.com , sign in and they will give you a private key to access your wallet. You can also use waveswallet.io if you like. There's so many wallets just search it in google and it will pop up and choose the best wallet you prefer.

I use the app named IMtoken,
it's convenient to use by mobile phone
you can download in google store!

Make sure to keep your private key in the safeplace. But i used metamask and mist. But you could use the my ether but that will pay the more attention from you due to the massive myethereum clone site.

For me myethereumwallet is one nice wallet to store some altcoin tokens that we have, because it uses private key

Look at Jaxx. It has a beautiful UI and it is really easy to use. Desktop clients available for Mac, Windows and Linux. Mobile clients available for iOS and android. The jaxx supports 12 different coins now: BTC, LTC, ETH, DASH (not on iOS), ETC, REP, ZEC (not on iOS), DOGE, ICN, GNT, GNO, DGD but team also is actively adding new coins.

Wow interesting as they are supporting BTC , LTC, etc like all other coins also they are supporting apart from ETH and its platform related altcoins. As i was only using myetherwallet for all my ETH and it related platform tokens. Will try Jaxx wallet.

I just suggest you my choice and my prediction is best wallet for ETH or altcoin.

made fake site for myEtherWallet.

It seems that I know most of Altcoin's using Myetherwallet, because of all the initial ICO projects it makes Altcoin use Myetherwallet wallet, because they make token. So if you want to use wallet for Altcoin you should use Myetherwallet for your Altcoin wallet.

agree with overall reply above, I prefer choose MyEtherWallet (MEW) for Ethereum wallet.
this wallet have good security, and fast in load. but be aware with URL domain, there are links phising to MEW, so you must remember the exact of MEW link URL

The best wallet for any altcoin is the one that is available on the official website of that wallet.Most of the time those wallets require you to run the full-node which is painstaking and should go for third party wallets then.You can even check their website for recommended wallets.

Exodus is a good option supporting multiple coins.

MyEther wallet has been involved in suspicious activities recently,I'd avoid them at any cost.

There are plenty of options, mobile wallets, desktop wallets and hardware wallets. For ethereum I think my ether wallet is the simplest and securest one. For other altcoins, hardware or paper wallets may be good.

you are full control of the private key and myetherwallet can be used for buy the ICOs projects, also you can used jaxx.io to store ethereum but jaxx doesn't support for purchase the ICOs at least for now.

No need to download the chain ? It's a web wallet lol of course you don't!
There are open scam accusations against the wallet for stealing coins in the past and it's not recommended to use the wallet.They say the private keys are generated at the client side but who knows what it really is until the code is open-sourced.

MyEtherWallet for etc and the other etherum assets. The function is powerful. The UI does not look good, and probably it can be refined in the future!

Is it possible to run mist wallet in lite mode? Cause I dont want to download the whole blockchain.

What you're looking for doesn't really exist, what you want is a wallet is going to handle all of these different all coins and they don't have it yet. Basically the best you can do is write your own little program that accesses the CLI for each of the wallet you have downloaded.

You can create myetherwallet, my own using myetherwallet to store my altcoin.
Because in my opinion have many who use his wallet.

For now, I am using myetherwallet. It is an online ethereum wallet. It also holds tokens or other altcoins. You just need to secure yourself because it is an open-source generating Ethereum wallet. It is prone to hackers so you need to be aware but it is free so I think it is okay. If you want this wallet, make sure that you saved your key and you are logging to a site with LLC. Your security is in your hands if you want to use this. Just always remember to login with myetherwallet with LLC near to the URL.

if you want to store ethereum or litecoins you can go for coinbase , it is a very user friendly wallet , with private keys and transfer pins that makes it more safe , it has a dashboad where it shows the graph of the altcoins and prices so that we can see and compare the growth between them .

Too many people uses MyEtherWallet, easy to use.
Sometimes you may need to add custom tokens. And don't forget your Private Key! Otherwise you will lose everything :)

Yes, I was previously used Jaxx, but sadly that it does not support custom tokens, so I have to seek for another method. I tried to use ethereum wallet and spend hours to download the blockchain, but it always stucked, so finally I use myetherwallet.com, this is good that we can save the json key into our disk, and it can be imported to other wallet (I'm not sure which wallet support this yet, but at least it can be done, or anyone can update me about this?).

Well the altcoin wallet that i am using are myether wallet and waves wallet those two are the best altcoin wallet, this wallets can really be trusted and it is very convenient to use or i can say it is not that complicated.  So if i were i would uae this wallets for my wallets.

For altcoins, myetherwallet still the best for stored all your altcoins and ethereum too of course but there is other wallet for stored your ethereum, you can use web wallet blockchain.info right now because blockchain is not only for bitcoin but also for ethereum wallet too in the latest update.

for me hardware wallet it was quite hassle because my hardware almost damaged due to short circuit  :-\

As for me,ether wallet and the app IMtoken is better among others. It is easy to use and offers a reliable and convenient service. Other wallets are also good but I guess this is mostly used by many

MEW still got an advantage also if you understand how waves and nxt wallet works online you just need to read some review as well before trying to use
your owed venture, alts have its version of their wallets so better to check from the main page of certain project.

To save ETH you should use myetherwallet (MEW) because you will have a private key that only you can open your account. I have long used it and it is very safe.
