Centra's interview with Clif High may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.  The Company has taken steps to alleviate investors fears.  The product is live.  I've watched Sam make several purchases at various stores using bitcoin, eth, dash, monero, and litecoin.  He also withdrew cash from an ATM. It is something that is very appealing to me; to be able to spend my crypto currency as fiat cash.

They have also extended bonus CTR tokens to investors as well. While some people have already passed judgment on the Company, I am already invested, and they have garnered some goodwill by providing me additional tokens.  So I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I think the product has all the makings of a being a success and that is the initial reason why I invested in the first place.

Hard not to fall in love with Centra after seeing their video how their app works and how many coins are supported.
Still i think the most catchy thing is that i will be able to pay for dinner with Centra tokens. The same tokens i am now buying in their ICO. So I can stop going to exchanges and just keep ctr, eth, dash in wallet and live normally. Rewards paying back, paybacks going to my wallet and no need to exchange them and worry about it. Well that's my plan. Fingers crossed.

I admit I was doubtful about the project at first... I has reasons, and pretty legit ones, but I see the work Centra is doing to "make things happen", and I start to believe that I was probably certainly wrong.

I am astonished by the efforts the centra team are making, the way Centra drives the community, how it is people oriented and not only ultra technical... etc...
Besides the technology, there is really something great about the way you guys are pushing the enveloppe to make your product a hit.
It's a rare thing in the Alts to see such clever marketing and such hard focus on customer acquisition and press relationships. CONGRATS.

At the end of the day, I an more and more convinced that it will do good to Centra.tech.
We see more and more great projects becoming real innovations, and if technology is at the center of the products, the product promotion and the community are starting to be required accelerators in the Alts world.
Centra understood this, same as NEO did by rebranding itself, and OmiseGo as well. The latter 2 are showing excellent results.

Bottom line is... I decided to give it a shot... and participated to the ICO.

How are taxes handled with the Centra card? Given the IRS interpretation that crypto coins are not currency, but assets, the conversion to fiat is a taxable sale event and would need to be reported for capital gains at the end of the year. I know how exchanges handle this with FIFO cost basis and providing a report for calculating taxes, but haven't seen anything here, the website or the white paper about how this conversion and gain will be reported.

It runs until the end of the month from the looks of it.
But their raffle should be completed before this happens.
So I am not completely sure now. :-\

Maybe if a representative can confirm these two dates for the ones who are interested and looking to invest in this card.

Well sure you can buy from ED for a total of 31ETH atm. There is hardly any CTR traded there.
If you buy from ED you lose free card.
You need to invest minimum 5 ETH in ICO to qualify for free shipped card that will be shipped in first batches of cards.
So if you buy in ED you get CTR tokens - which gives you right to receive get 0.8% of reward fee from cash traffic. (need to have on your own account, otherwise exchange gets your reward)
But you won't get free card in first batches of shipment.
 You can still buy card i think for 10usd and get it delivered in November or December (normal not ICO queue)
So if you want to get card fast only option is to get into ICO.

You can also just buy Tokens in ICO to get card fast - and you can sell tokens in ED. But really hard to sell them, ED is not really a popular exchange, - you need a bit of tech skills to use it.

Generaly they use ETH tokens as value measure everywhere, but most cash was geathered in BTC.

LTC used to give most (ctr/usd). But after LTC going up - ETH is cheapest way to be used to get into ICO and gives most ctr per usd.

A little bit of confusion here. Is the ICO is over in 8 hours or Pre-ICo is over? Confusing there though.

I'm so dissapointed in Centra team, the miss information on their website is quite disturbing, when I invested inot the project I saw token sale and not presale now I can see that the pre-sale is over. I don't think they understand the impact of this miscommunication on their project

Does anyone know why the CTR Token has disappeared from Etherdelta.?
The token has also disappeared from my MEW.
In both cases I was able to recreate the custom token with address from the Centra website and the tokens reappeared. But the prices don't match what is shown on Coinmarketcap?
I bought 3008 CTR tokens on etherdelta a few weeks ago. That was before there were any notifications that the company did not want their token traded yet. Now I see warnings not to buy on Etherdelta. Its too late for that.

If lost of tokens from using this exchange it was at your own discretion.

Big difference, Centra has started shipping their cards to their users. Soon everyone will start using the centra cards.  I dont think so the metal card will be available after the token sales. It is part of the Founder's Edition so i think it will be premium for early contributors that is right now. You will be able to get the card for $10 or something new year as well. That is for those who purchase tokens from exchangers for Non ICO participants.

Is the insurance policy already 100% final and official? If this happens then this will be the first one I saw in crypto to get insured. It would be interesting to know the maximum amount insured as in no other way I see insurance companies to not set limits.

Yes the crypto in the wallet is insured, it is one of the big selling points for Centra, you will get details of the scheme once you have signed up. By the way the app has just been released a few hours ago on IOS, personally I am waiting for the Android and desktop versions that should drop later today or tomorrow.

The other companies are using a 3rd party company to provide the cards (Wavecrest) and this is where all the problems have come from.

Centra chose a different route and partnered with a US bank which will result in a co-branded Debit card usable in any country.

It has been brought to my attention that many of you have been wondering about the statements made by MasterCard to ban Cryptocurrency Debit Cards outside of EEA geographics. I have done some due diligence and phone calls with my issuers and banks and this in NO WAY effects the Centra Card and our operations.

Our licensing agreement and Master Service Agreements gave us the same licensing rights to these institutional issuers that allow us to operate as Co-Branded Prepaid Debit Card Program in all regions we support. The MasterCard ban was made, again, to Wavecrest whom is the issuer for other cryptocurrency companies such as TenX, Xapo, etc.

From my research, it seems as though these bans have been to Wavecrest for violating any licensing agreements they had in place with Visa & Mastercard. I am not positive on this matter of the ban, I am only reporting based on my research, however this issue does NOT apply to the Centra Card nor effect us in any way and been confirmed by our issuers.

I am so happy today I got my verification for my black Centra card and they said in the slack in the announcement channel that cards will be shipped worldwide within 3-5 weeks so I am hoping I will get my card before the XMAS SHOPPING RUSH. It would be awesome to be able to sue my card in time to get a few little gifts for the family all with crypto currencies. This really will change the way we live and think of finance now in the Industry. The Cnetra Team and SUPPORTERS IN THE SLACK HAVE WORKED SO HARD to help newbies and old veterans alike and it's really friendly in there too.  :)

Why is the price plummeting? I didn't expect centra to plummet after the ICO ended.

i saw this article on centra twitter account , those news are just awesome. Centra has a good and huge team. many of them have big experience. CFO has worked as Business Finance Manager in Santander Bank , CCO has worked in many different in banks.

I hope the best for Centra, delays are making many contributors sell early and price already dumped hard; I'm one of the hodlers that are still waiting for the ROI. This is crypto, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose I guess, I'm still wondering what is the case  :D

Centra have grown very quickly since the ICO completed just over 5 weeks ago, the first glimpses of the new wallet are intruiging and the quality of the in-house videos and new marketing material is extremely high. People won't be convinced of the Centra story until they have working products in their hands which is fair enough, but those days are fast approaching.

Nothing can be done for a gain/loss trading in case the price of the token goes down or up.You need to analyze trading charts and figure out each entry/exit point to avoid such case.

Centra started shipping the first cards out on 22 December 2017, that answers most of the questions that would cause any doubt in people's minds.

2018 will be huge year for Centra!

There is a tremendous volume of more than 3000 BTC on binance after the card shipment news and this can help to have CTR on bittrex if the volume remains more than 1000 BTC constantly.

The first batch shipped where the Black and Titanium cards I think around 100 people have received so far and more will be shipping out once the office gets back to work today. The conversion rates seem to be pretty favourable from what I have seen ususally slightly better than what is shown on Binance at the time of conversion.

Are you talking about CTR/BTC conversion or all of the asset conversion to BTC or in terms of USD? and all of them are almost close to Binance conversion rate? This is more interesting to see how good centra offers when compared to other crypto card projects.
