Title: GTX 1070 any OC with claymore results in invalid shares
Post by: cryptocointrading on August 08, 2017, 11:36:38 PM
Been Dual mining ETH and Pascal for a month at 25.5mh/s and 255.000mh/s respectively on my gtx 1070

Then I realized everybody is claiming 30mh/s and tried my hand at overclocking the memory +700 and the core +350 with msi afterburner. Things where looking great at 29mh/s and it ran fine for half a day. And then I got error after error, invalid shares, and black screens.

Tried reducing the oc but nothing worked, just applying a profile with no overclocks got me invalid shares. Without afterburner and back to stock he is happily mining again at 25.5mh/s

I have an asus strix 1070 8gb, is this just afterburner being funny and should I try another OC tool or did I get very unlucky with the silicon lottery

yo

dont overclock the core ...

just memory.

go +300 on memory to start, underclock the core, lower power limit to 60.

Thank you very much, decreasing the power limit bellow 90% starts eating a lot of perf away so might not be a great chip. did get it stable at +675 memory resulting in just over 29 mh/s

very happy with the boost
