Anyone done their reading up on this project? Do you get only 1 civic identity per person? It has 1 billion total coins, not the biggest as 100 billion is exponatially worse, so if 1 billion people are using civic what will it be worth?

I feel like civic is an interesting idea -- Not exactly sure how it will play out in "real life" though (as opposed to what the website and whitepaper say)...

Civic have competitor and it is uPort.
But uPort dont have token atm.

All it need is marketaddoption. Recent +150 rise was due Apple Store added Civic app.

General idea is intresting. Both are build on ETH

What is the usefulness of the civic Project? I can say civic just another pump and dump coin, but tenx Project was better than civic as a crappy thing.
I heard the Project already claimed something that makes unreasonable to buy civic.

I have doubts about this as its very strange project. I don't see any reason buy their tokens. But if its volatile, it mustn't be that bad to invest.

That is really a huge volume of Civic coins out there. But the worth is also low, just properly enough for its very huge volume. But unlike some other coins that have huge volumes also, it seems CIVIC is doing pretty bullish these last few days in the market, surging past 100%.

Civic has dropped more than 10% today. It's a good project, but I think it's a little hard on this price. I do not expect an increase from the Civic to increase my money in the short term. Smart people can see that this money will be valued in the long run, but never in the short term.

Yes it was interesting for me when i was involved at 6k and now looks like good exit point over 10k. Be ready for unloading of first line of investors. After this shake we can expect over 20k. Good news are required, so wait for a while with buy orders beneath 10k. There is too much good projects at the same time, this is big problem. People jumping from one to another.

Yes true indeed, CVC is a long-term investment coin. CVC's features such as for platform security and ease of transacting (buy tickets, hotels, etc.)
I think many people are using CVC for payment instruments.
So CVC is a nice coin.

Civic is one of my favorite coins. It has an immediate use case, as we've seen from the ICOs (I know there was at least one, but I'm foggy on the details now) that have used Civic for identity verification already. As the crypto space grows into mainstream society, it's use cases will expand, giving it tremendous long term potential as well.

I think this coin is good for long term investment, it has the potential to really grow big in the future. I am thinking of investing a couple of these coins and try to hold on to it for about a year and see if I could profit from it and see if there is a difference in its market cap too.

I see in coinmarketcap the average cvc price in the $ 0.5 exchanger per tokens and I expect to be $ 5 per token or more  :D

To me it is a strange coin and I don't see wide levels of adoption but there seems to be quite a bit of support for it so it is maybe one that I will reconsider in the future. Definitely seems good for a bit of short-term speculation with recent trends.

Why is it a strange coin? I think it's actually one of the only real life projects which can be executed through the blockchain.

There is only Bitcoin I trust investing my money, when ever I go to the list in coin market cap I open 10 tabs for each coin, after wasting a few hours of my time I leave my computer empty handed all I get from them is in the future, like when they said in 23 September something big will drop out of the sky and now I'm loling. there is nothing good in whitepapers, I know what they will do in the future but when this imaginary future comes I lol again.

Civic (CVC) does has a real product, with business plan in their roadmap and execute them accordingly.

It looks good, and should have decent returns in future.

Civic is only a cool app as of now. It's real world uses are still rudimentary at best, and after the kyc process in some ICO's, it has less importance.

It's 3x ICO price in fiat and 2x or so ICO price in bitcoin.

I don't think we will see Civic below ICO price, price took a beating but still above ICO.

this project has some really valuable use cases when you look at property management and social identity cases. Its such a great idea, But whether mass adoption happens when they have a tangible product is a different story. getting people to radically change the way they have been doing something is usually a difficult task.

I don't know how to apply to the project. Kept about half a year. Particular spikes in the price of fiction sold is +20 percent. Although the CEO they have is quite strong.

The team is actively working ahead of a lot of updates

I hope that this year investors they will bring a lot of profit.

My feeling is that this is more of a solid bet that is for the long term. It may take 2-3 years for the price to go up a lot, but there is a good chance it will. A solid edition to one's crypto portfolio. But obviously there are higher risk coins/tokens that you can make quicker returns in the short term. My advice would be to balance a portfolio with both.

Securing Your Identity with Civic

Civic’s Secure Identity Ecosystem Will Revolutionize The Way We Handle Our Personal Information

After incidents such as the Equifax data breach, in which millions of people had sensitive personal information such as names, addresses, and social security numbers stolen, it became overwhelmingly clear that we need new mechanisms to handle personal information. Years of willful ignorance and slow development have lead these systems to be vulnerable to attacks. Antiquated, centralized systems such as Equifax’s are not secure enough to reliably handle such important data, and are slow to adapt to recent trends in identity verification and personal data handling that could improve the current situation.

Luckily, new decentralized services like Civic aim to fix the current issues facing identity security using biometric verification and blockchain technology. Civic abandons cumbersome and unsafe authentication methods such as passwords or third-party authenticators, and instead using biometric markers such as fingerprints to verify your identity. Using the process outlined below, Civic then uses the blockchain to obtain, attest, and record identity verifications in a decentralized manner on the blockchain. This process ensures that personal data is not stored in a centralized manner, and that verified forms of identity can be used repeatedly by multiple parties, taking advantage of the public platform to eliminate redundancy for users.

Civic and Effect.AI Enabling People to Better Train AI

Meet Effect.AI, a company that’s currently at the intersection of blockchain and artificial intelligence. Effect.AI is developing a decentralized network for AI-related services to democratize and lower the barriers to access to artificial intelligence training data.

The first phase of Effect.AI’s ambitious undertaking is Effect Force, a marketplace that allows anyone in the world to request or perform data-related micro-tasks that require human intelligence before the AI can be trained on that dataset. They know how important it is to keep data safe and accessible only to the right people, so Effect.AI will utilize Civic’s Secure Identity Platform to provide an added layer of We are proud to be on board as Effect.AI moves into this exciting first phase.
