I just watched CoinMarketCap.com and I am amazed that finally Bitcoin has already broken the $4K wall and there is a big possibility it might continue on rising. This is already the weekend which is traditionally weak days for Bitcoin but this time it defied expectations.

Now, I am wondering: Would there be some corrections on price right after this elegant movement of our beloved crypto...? Or will it again continue on defying expectation and historical precedents of its own?

I certainly hope it would be the latter though of course we should expect the Bitcoin would also pause for some rest after this breathtaking surge, right?

there is always a correction after each rise, it is impossible to have "only" price rise. the correction is just traders selling what they have bought to take the profit out. and there has already been a couple of small corrections.

we are once again on the rocket to the moon and it has not yet showed any signs of slowing down. i say it will continue going up for some more before any bigger corrections.

I'm so amazed when I woke up early this morning and try to look the price on preev. And well of course like what mentioned above there's always a right correction when ever there's an increase of price. And now we're continue rising, I feel we will reach 5000$ so just hold your balls.

Price movement is unbelievable. It exceed my expectation. I think this was the best rally i've seen since I started, rally for how many days and has a big raise. I didn't expect it to happen this fast. Correction? don't mind it for now and just enjoy the show.

there ARE corrections.
you just don't notice them probably because you are zoomed out too much or probably because you are waiting for a huge drop.
for example about 8 hours ago there was a $149 drop before this rise to break the $4000 resistance started. right now there is also another drop of $100+ and these show a very healthy market upward movement in my experience.

Of course it'll pull back. It always does. And in the world of investments there's no investment that soars without some rocky spots along the way.

The cue to be looking for is how the market reacts immediately following a drop. Does the price stall and wallow or is there a response? There's a response. There's always an immediate bounce back...not to the previously high price but a bounce up. What this means is that there's support waiting on the sidelines. There's money in waiting to be invested at every dip in price. This demonstrates that there is a lot of long term support for the price.

Yes, there will be corrections. In my humble opinion we have hit the roof for now, $4100 is a very high price to achieve so fast like we have seen today. I personally think it's a good idea to sell the BTCs and wait the dump to buy again (only if you have bought it cheaper, of course). I wasn't expecting the price increase so fast, what means the correction will be stronger.

There will be a dump after the big increase. I can ensure with you that. Bitcoin price always decrease after it hit the new peak so I believe that this is the right time to sell 1/2 of your bitcoin. Then, we will rebuy it and make profit from that activity :D

Prices previously unexpected. We all benefit greatly if we have btcoin. Prices drastically increased in just a few hours. Maybe selling bitcoin at this time can make us get big profit, but if we can be patient maybe bitcoin price can reach 5000USD within few weeks ahead. I'm not sure there will be any correction in the future because I see a constantly rising graph of bitcoin price increases and tends to increase all the time.

I think there will be a correction, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Some people will book profits now. Others will keep holding. In any case, there is a shuffle in bitcoin's ownership and more and more people are getting into Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is still not at the correct price this year it should be at 5000$ before this year ends,and in 2018 the price must reached 7000$. Bitcoin price should be up by +$2k every year. Thats the time  bitcoin price is already fix and stable.

It's even touch $4,100+ right now. I'm really suprised bitcoin can increase so much in the last 5 days. I don't know is this trend will keep continue or will stop soon but i think the bitcoin price can continue up to $4,250 soon and yes there will be a corrections but we don't know when it happen.

It's now at $4179, and I think there is a resistance line at about $4500, so hang on for a wild ride as it tries to reach it! This is incredible - we are definitely at the Mania stage of this bubble.

Of course there will be corrections. There will be the smaller ones, the dips, keeping the trend up in a staircase style and gives lots of opportunities to accumulate more. And there are the drops, which percentage wise are much bigger and often create a bit of panic within unexperienced traders. As long as there is no trend reversal to be seen we are bullish.
Corrections are good! They are healthy anre prevent us from overheating and going completely parablic, what usual ends with dramatic sell offs! So don't be worried about price corrections.

I would definitely think so, except i believe that the pump is going to be higher than the current ATH before any sort of real adjustments set in.

I'd say that we'll at least hit $4500 before a pretty big correction brings us down to at least below $4000 because this is currently just too high to be true. How low exactly, i'm not sure and nobody really knows. But this is simply not going to last forever.

Don't just blindly buy in right now. This is a bubble. Don't invest just cause everyone else is screaming "buy buy buy".

Otherwise, be prepared to carry the risks yourself. Don't tell us we didn't warn you.

While the price appreciation of Bitcoin is really astronomical for a "blue chip" coin, it should, no, it must experience price correction/pullback. It even reached 4,250 earlier.

The reason for the pullback is to avoid overheating. The price correction will also allow btc to breath and eventually reach more than 5,000.

U have seen such price increase once in the past when the price was rallying towards $2500 and now this is the second time. During the first time after a big price pumping a correction phase took place. Now once again a big price rallying is going on, and so a correction phase might happen around $4500 as most users suggested.

No one knows when correction may happen but the fact of the matter is the world has taken notice of Bitcoin in a big way. It only takes a little investment from each of the businesses around the world to shoot the price of Bitcoin into tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands.

Corrections don't matter when in the long term, an asset can MULTIPLY itself.

If you don't think there will be corrections you are deluded. Yes bitcoin will reach 10k at some point but it could be 1 month, 1 year or even 5 years +.

After this increase there will be a substantial correction and the FUDsters will be out in full force for a while and some will sell etc etc panicking.

After that.......commence another bull run.

Cycle repeats.

Like you, I would like the later to happen for a long time but for now, I guess we will see corrections sooner or later because the price rise we have seen this past few days is crazy indeed. People who hodl their bitcoins might want to take profit now, so there is a probability of a correction but after that, I hope bitcoin will continue on defying expectation and it's historical precedents.

Well, in my opinion if you wait for $5000 to sell your coins you will wait too much time, it won't happen in few weeks. There isn't enough power to increase Bitcoin's price so fast, we have already seen a big pump, now the correction comes and lead us down. While BTC price doesn't reach $5000 or near it you can make some profit by buying and selling. Just if you want some extra profit further the long term profit, anyway.

We now have a retrace of almost $200, after reaching $4150. This is not a sizeable retrace and seems more like profit booking. If Bitcoin resumes its growth upwards, we shouldn't be surprised.

A correction is due, but I am not sure when it is going to occur. If you remember, in July we had reached a minimum price of around $1,760 per coin. And since then, it has been a continuous upward journey, with the exchange rates stabilizing at $4,040 per coin now. In between mid-July and now, there has been no major corrections.

from $2800-$4100 , bitcoin rise very quickly, in a span of 72 hours
so i think there will be correction and during that some weak hands will sell it off quickly..

I very much believe that the bitcoin will go up to $ 5000 in the next time, now it is leaps and bounds, its value is too terrible. I only regret that I sold so much bitcoin before.

I expect the bitcoin related projects move up and up. This is the price value even I expect that in some months but still worry about mining fees has been gonna exaggerate when we see the every price bumps. Please miners, try to reduce the fees and you also please have the profit.

Their will be a correction offcourse, unless the north korea vs us war will take off, then we can expect more uncertainty and thus investors diversifying their assets into gold and partly into crypto.

The correction, isn't it natural? I guess it is, so we should expect it to happen anytime (Who knows when, right?). I'm glad to see the price of Bitcoin at $4K and even it go back down, it will surely surge up again imo. Maybe those who sold coins before August first because of fear regret their action but that's totally fine I guess, nobody surely knew that it will end up this way.

Not only $5000 but i have made a speculation about the top of the bitcoin pump will be around $6000. You can see all of the chart from the old history of bitcoin, and there will be triangle before the big dumo will have happened. I will be accumulating the more profit through sell them all.

I agree, 5k look far away also BCC rising like hell,
what would happen if all the miners switch to BCC
how will it impact bitcoin pricing?
