Not selling my Doge when it was 120 satoshis. I thought it would go higher. Now it just keeps getting lower and is 50 satoshis. I had a lot of Doge and if I had been smart to trade it, I would have turned my $100 into more than $400. Now I have Doge that is worth $50 now hahaha...

Crypto is full of regrets, big or small, isn't it?

I never regret selling my crypto holdings now worth thousands of dollars. Basically it was a learning experience for me.

Regrets are a waste of time and emotions. It's always easy to look back and think "what if". Hindsight cannot be used to gauge if one made a good investment or bad choice. And I don't think the pizza guy made a mistake, In fact those who spent and traded their coins in the early days, helped make bitcoin what it is today.

I had 21 ETH that I had bought when it was about $7. When the price went up to $50 and held there for a while I doubted it would surge much more so I sold all 21. If only I had known the value of HODL...

I also had a ton of $4 LTC at one time and shifted it all back into BTC because I didn't think it would ever go over $5.

I know these aren't "Bitcoin Pizza" size mistakes, but it still sucks looking back. That's a few extra grand I could have had to gamble away on Bittrex ;)

I too had regrets dumping both my litecoin and ethereum both are learning experience to me now I always look on the potential of coins that I'm investing there's a lot of money to be made if you can control yourself and continue to hold highly potential coin like Litecoin ethereum and Bitcoin.

This is exactly the reason why I would rather not touch my bought coins. When I see an increase in my coins somewhere around 50%, my emotions would run really high that I am forced to sell them because I am already gaining. I am already ecstatic with that. And when it is already sold, the increase goes on and on reaching the 3 digit surge.

I've never fucked up big time; but then again I haven't traded that much.

The only time I regretted was when I sold MINT coins @ 1 satoshi and aftr a couple of months it went up to 30 satoshi. But it was a small quantity, so didn't make much difference for me.

Ethereum is one of my regrets in cryptocurrency because i own about 5 Eth and the price was increasing back then up to 380usd i think and bc of greed i still hold em off. Then the price go dowwwn. To the point is was only 190+ usd and because that time was near august 1 i panicked and end up selling those for 200 usd each. Thats my biggest regret

There was not much regret as for me. It's just that until now I don't want to devote all my savings, or even a big portion of it to buy bitcoin or ETH or any other alts. I really want to but something inside is telling me I should have some fiat savings intact somewhere for any kind of urgent needs.

I had a big share of a coin named IOU from an airdrop, the coin was getting pumped so i sold at 40 sats, went up to an ATH at 400-500 sats, could have easily gained ten times my share if i waited a couple of hours.

What you have done simple is not that much to be regretted, after all you got profit by doing so. Cryptocurrency is full of unpredictable coins and that is just okay. My biggest regret ever in altcoin is never buying antshares when it was relatively low and look at it now the price is high. I also have many similar experiences like that but still even if I regret them, after a day or two of thinking about it I move on.

I once participated on a campaign. It is an adex campaign. And when I checked on the distribution of bounty, the price of it was 16k satoshis. I owned about 2200 adx. I once wanted to trade it because I am new at trading, new in this community as well. And there was the fork, the bitcoin grew strong. Also the adex grew strong, from 4.8k satoshis after the fork to 9.6k satoshis after the segwit lock. At first it was all great but then I saw that adex became stronger afterwards. Sad.

Not buying enough NEO, OMG, IOTA, TenX, BNB, BTM

That is your biggest regret in altcoin? That is not even a regret because you made good gains from it. Besides that it is unheard of when one says he regret making huge profit because no one won't. For me the biggest regret I have is selling my doge stash too early because I believed 80 satoshi was the top price but it reached 120 satoshi, I could have gained more profit if I waited more.

He's regretting when held a party I guess, that's a damn huge profit if he really did that. Also, the price of bitcoin at that time is pretty low compared when ETH just touched 0.14 BTC each.
That's ain't regret, that's an awesome luckyness.
But well, both of you still atleast got a decent profit rather than losing because of price dump.

My biggest regret was not buying more NEO when it was two USD. My wife she bought 5 NEOS and that is all we have. If I was aware and gave her monies to purchase at least 500 NEOS we would be very happy now.  :'( Now she is investing in INVESTFEED as people are dumping just after the ICO. So this time I told her to load one big bag, not make a small bag.

It's not a regret. You only loosing because you have invested while the price still on peak. The fact you still didn't lose anything since you didn't sell your MGO until now.

How many coins you have come across so far and how many you thought of buying and didn't buy. Now count how many of them raised like NEO ...

point is hind site is always 20/20 and its always feel guilty of not taking action but the truth is .. may be you would have lost more if you kept buying all shares like NEO in anticipation during their early days before its proven .. 2c

My regret is about almost very new coin thats NEO. I knew about it when it was first promoted with the signature campaign and it was worth $6 after the ICO launch. My friends told me to invest into it but I did not really followed the path and chose not to invest. And have you seen the price of NEO today? Its @50 USD thats 8 times of what I saw initially! Thats really amazing how these coins can take leaps in the market. Always regretted this coin investment. Anyway hope to see my next target to grow like this.

I got a token year ago and I thought it didn't have potential, so the moment I got it I traded it immediately to btc and the exchange was just 200 satashi per token. I sold all my token and just within a day after selling the token price became 5000 satoshi per token. I felt really stupid for not holding my token a little longer.

Regrets are the luxury of those who do not trade. If you want to be a businessman, and you want to make money, and you want to be a Trader, then it's time to let go of regrets. There will be prophets and there will be losses, and there will be learning experiences. Regrets those do not exist anymore Jedi.

Hindsight is 20/20; it's true. When it comes to altcoins, once I sell, I don't look at the chart for a while. Sometimes it just hurts too much otherwise. :P I'm pretty risk averse, and I'm really protective of my bitcoin gains, so I tend to take profit a bit earlier than I should on alts. But I don't kick myself. Profit is profit, and I'm a bitcoiner, so I count my profits in BTC.

As for the OP? I had a huge stash of XRP a few years ago -- bigger than I want to mention -- and of course I sold it for a pittance. C'est la vie! :)

I spotted NEO early as a potential investment - I have a political economy background, all my investments are based around how cosy coins are with powerful governments, because in this market they are the coins who will still be around when crypto goes mainstream.

I wanted to go all in with NEO around $6 a coin but decided to go 50% only and diversify the rest. I'm booming with NEO but stagnating with the rest... Viacoin, Waves, XRP, Verge and Aragon being the most disappointing!

Such is life for traders. Profit is profit; it's important to remember that. Traders need to preserve capital and lock in gains. If not, you aren't a trader, but rather, a gambler. :P

Regarding the OP, my biggest regret is that I always immediately dumped giveaway/airdrop coins. If I had held for a year or more for the crypto bubble, I'd be much richer right now...

These kind of mistakes are common on most traders which we would able to sell out a particular coin on a certain price because we do believe that its already the peak price of it without knowing that it would still pump or increase even further on a matter of time.Yes this kind of situation would really make regrets if we tend to look it back this is why its not really good to see those mistakes and rather just do the right thing already for the 2nd time now.

After investing in a handful of alt coins at a low price and waiting for them to pick up, the prices crashed even further, and remained low for a week or so. So I decided to sell them before they crashed any further and took a loss. A few days later they soared and I missed out on some nice profits. They say that patience is a virtue !!

First of all, you have sold with profit, even with a minimum one. Secondly, you have gained some experience and now you know that in most cases it is better to hold, there is no need to panic. You did not lose any money actually, and now with these things in mind you should be more successful. We are still in early days in my opinion, so there will be loads of other chances for you.
I do not want even to say how much I "lost" like you did, definitely more than $500k, so you should forget about it and move on.

I bought CMPCO at 10 sat on Coinexchange and panic sold at 11 sat, now it's 70 sat
There's probably a few more I can't remember right now.

Yep I agree, if you're going to regret making mistakes and not learning from them, don't trade.

I remember the early days when Zetacoin was about. I put a stupidly low bid in that just sat there, then one day it went through. Awesome, I just got 300k Zetacoin, worth nothing but then they started moving up $2k... Ok it's a pretty poor coin at $2k let's sell em all. If I'd waited 2-3 more days they'd have been worth $30-40k. Lesson learnt don't sell everything!

Do I regret it? No, I learnt from it and now understand the risks and the sensible ways to trade better.

I don't think anybody who trades is 100% successful 100% of the time. It's what you do when you fail that counts.

At the moment, SIA is my biggest loss... But just for now, sure it will go up again... :) ...but I definately closed my eyes and missed that selling point..
It was also a big lost for me. I have bought a lot of SIA coin before at a high price due to a recommendation of someone in the internet world. The first coin that I have bought. I wish it will pump sooner. I will just hold for a long time.

My biggest mistake is not buying more ripple when it was below .009 cents - then the other mistake is not selling when it was all time high at like 41cents

Many other "regrets" but that's how it goes you move on and make the move - some work out, others don't

Bytecoin

In December 2016 I bought 1,000,000 BCN for 0.00000005 BTC. Then I sent them to desktop wallet. And it f***n disappeared. The techsupport is not replying at all since then. The last time i checked the price, it was more than 0.00000100 BTC.  x20 profit lost

My greatest regret is not to sell my coins at an expensive price. I thought the price of the coin would go up and I would get a doubled advantage ... but it was upside down. The loin price went down and I lost the coin. I prefer to hold the coins for a while. When the price goes back up I get too emotional and sell the coin with little profit. I see that the coin is still up to reach a high price. I am sorry for selling the coins. I was too ambitious to make a profit until I did not hold the coin at the right time

My biggest altcoin regret is that I lost the wallet password, the altcoin named FID and there is a off-line wallet, I thought i have save the password, but after transferring the coins in the wallet a few days later, I can not find the password, WTF.
