HODLing is the only thing that makes sense. Limited Supply + Increased Demand = New ATHs

that is very true,
not only holding Bitcoin makes a sense, holding an altcoin too can be considered make a sense.
for example;
one of my friend holding XVG for a years and invested 1BTC in there, after holding it for a year he multipled it into 10BTC.
and because of that he got profit from trading an altcoin and other than that he also got profit from Bitcoin.
Win to Win solution,
i just want to see more than this while an altcoin declining and then trying to do the same like my friend did,
it would be nice if another run will happen in the coming year while Bitcoin always trying to hit another ATH

first of all that is purely luck of your friend. look at the chart of that coin! a dead altcoin for a couple of years which was worth 12 sat went down until reached 1 satoshi. suddenly this year literary every single altcoin was pumped and XVG was also pumped and your friend got his profit.

secondly as you can see on the charts it is a short term pump. so why keep altcoins for long term? you go in at the foot of the pump and get out at the top make the same profit but in a couple of weeks instead of couple of years.

Holding bitcoin together with Altcoin is much more better and this is what im doing now and lucky for me i did able to bought bitcoin when its price hits back again on $1800 price before that fork until now im still holding because i do really believe that price would hit up 5k price anytime soon. Its not bad to assume but possibilities are always there since bitcoin do really surprise us anytime.

it always feels good to be holding a sizable amount of bitcoin which you bought ultra cheap from newbies and now are watching it appreciate in value :D

another thanks for all those who sold their coins cheap to me months ago.

well i think it is not a problem right to holding an altcoin for a long term?
i mean,as long as Bitcoin exist i believe altcoin will also exist, and because of that someday every altcoin will get pumped.
and it will always happen because of human greed.
they will not sit and do nothing when they know Bitcoin price will be huge in the days, months or years.
so,even if it's pure of luck(although i am not really agree with this) we still can minimize our loses by split it.
and when we are lucky enough ? we will get same amount of total our capital just for 1/10 from our capital.

Yikes,  that chart looks scary.  And people always say the same thing at the top of a bull market.
Not saying anyone is stupid for hodling.  I am in fact hoping $4200 and beyond can be held
onto.  Right now I'm just not sure.  I was wrong about bitcoin initially and could be wrong again.

As the price of bitcoin increases gradually, sure the number of people holding bitcoin for the future increases. This is just because of the ongoing adoption as well the bitcoin price peaking has begun crossing $4000. Another thing is that bitcoin price is predicted to increase much bigger and reach $500000 by experts. Hoping for this people focus much on holding than spending.
