Title: Join a pool for "casual" mining with home pc hardware
Post by: bdore on August 14, 2017, 07:32:38 PM
Hello community!

I have a Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB sitting idle in my computer during the day. I'd like to know if it makes any sense to join a pool with this hardware for BTC mining. Or maybe mine another coin.

Will it give me some return or is it juste a waste of resources? Tks for the advice!

Yes can be used for altcoin and you should pursue the matter in the altcoin sections. Mining (altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0)
