More companies and business may join in bitcoin environment, but as far as I've ever read about cryptocurrency acceptance, it always mentioned ethereum as well. It seems bitcoin and ethereum become major coins everywhere, but I don't think ethereum could reach fantastic price such as bitcoin achievement. Apple shop in Belarus maybe just give bitcoin and ethereum a shot whether it will be more profitable for their business or not, then others apple shop in every city may follow.

I remember when there were days that merchants accepting Bitcoin would make the market and the community react positively, but nowadays it's nothing special anymore. I am waiting for the day where merchants will not have their entire Bitcoin sales converted to their fiat equivalent, but keep a small portion of the coins themselves. I know that they can't keep holding these coins for ever, but this will greatly influence the market in a positive manner. It would mean that less coins get dumped on the market, plus that these coins are being kept out of circulation for a good while.

Are they a APR or AAR only? I haven't read the full story though. If  they are AAR (Apple Authorized Resellers) then it will be really a big surprised for me.

Anyways, its a good news for those who live in Belarus who are into bitcoin. I think Apple has nothing to do with it, and the decision came from "Apple cafeConnect" themselves. Maybe this is one way of promoting bitcoin in their country and the owner has investment in bitcoin as well. They are indeed trying to give it a shot and see how everything pans out. If the experiment went well, I think more stores or shops in that country will follow suit. I guess we have to wait and see because price volatility is one factor that makes other merchants don't want to accept bitcoin. Hope this one will be a success story for the owner of the "Apple cafeConnect".

Didn't actually understand what they mean by this move
Quote
The payment process is a bit different than in other shops accepting cryptocurrencies so far, the buyer actually pays 1% of the value of the goods in local fiat – Belarusian rubles, and gets a 99% discount that should be processed in Bitcoins or Ethereum
But the fact that they adopt is a nice thing that needs to be expanded widely
