this should be check by investors who love to take some risk as we seen concept after concept and most of dev have their own ways to say that they
can be more than successful than other project but the real score would be between the project concept itself so I'm checking this one out and will
be joining this project.

Hi I am came across this Reddit post about Bitvault: https://www.reddit.com/r/Crypto_General/comments/7g558v/bitvault_phone_eot_encryption_of_things_founder/

I need some clarification before I am going to buy them, please answer me?
Is Willem Petrus Marais really a fraud?

I would like to comment about this and please remember this is my opinion. The information about the company, Maradia Investment Fund is correct. But we don't know who for a fact is Willem Marais.

I am not part of the team but a community member.

I don't blame the guy who wrote the post on Reddit as he and others are obviously surprised when finding out some of the details. Also the price of EOT when initially purchased by some people have seen a significant decrease since their 'investment' in the coin/token. This has added to the woes and naturally emotion. Some people bought a lot when the price was high and now it is not. In no way I am saying he is wrong and in his own admission he does say it may be a legit product. But I do believe he is trying to say caveat emptor - buyer beware. Do your diligence and research for yourself as everyone has their own risk assessment and can afford to lose different amounts. He is providing information and for that no one can blame him.

I have not been told if the content of who is who is correct and when this info was asked in the Slack channel the answer was simple; what does that have to do with EOT?

The truth is nothing and something. We won't get a answer and you can draw your own conclusions.

For a proper assessment to be made whether to buy EOT or not lets look at the facts. This includes a worse case scenario and what we DO know.

Worse case: He is the same person as mentioned on the Reddit post. The papers are dated 2009.

Facts: The company Embedded Downloads is registered under Hein Marais and is technically 100% owned by him. Embedded Downloads uses EOT to encrypt their products and other applications. Further review of Hein Marais would show he is more than qualified to understand this industry.

The other products include Swissbankinyourpocket wallet storage and this is already available and people have received this product.

The crypto-communicator Bitvault has already been made and is waiting to be shipped. We do know the company VVDN Technologies (large company in India and voted 2017 as one of the world’s top 12 cloud engineering service providers) is behind this phone. This is a fact and widely advertised. The hold-up for delivery according to Embedded Downloads is there was licensing issues (FCC and CE certifications) and was explained on Slack.

To add to the validity of Embedded Downloads the entrepreneur and celebrity Kash Amini is a private investor and was at the London opening on Oct 31st and specifically mentions Embedded Downloads (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XsdQlXCw-A). If you google Kash Amini and EOT you will also find other promotions he is featured on. The quality of production for these advertisements also show it was done professionally and that cost money.

Yes, there is a EOT coin and a token. The coin can be mined (Scrypt) and the token is available on the Waves Platform. You could argue that the waves platform is actually another chain but coins were reserved so you could 'cash' out the waves token back to a coin, hence the price is more-or-less the same. However all assets listed on the Waves platforms are tokens so it can be argued that all assets are on two or more blockchains.

A quote form my previous post "Just remember the EOT tokens on the Waves platform are "really a representation of the currency and as such has value because it can be interchanged, just like Bitcoin and Ethereum are on the waves exchange. This whole process is explained on page 4 of the waves whitepaper, I think they call it an asset-to-asset exchange which makes it possible to list any asset that exist on waves.  Unfortunately waves only has gateways currently for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Waves, Euro and USD...When you deposit Bitcoin into waves account, you receive an equal amount of tokens which you can either trade or even sent via the waves blockchain to another user.. Once you withdraw your tokens are exchanged for BTC and you receive it back into your BTC wallet."

Being registered in Ireland and having offices in India, UK, US, Germany and Japan have given Embedded Downloads international exposure.

The MAIN audience target as suggested by Embedded Technologies is:

   Government communication
   Corporate markets
   Financial services sectors

We also know there was a large premine and that makes people nervous. This has been discussed on Slack with the developers on why and it is because of how the business contracts are arranged. When for example selling a Bitvault phone (or whatever product) in bulk part of the business deal would to preload EOT onto them initially. This may not be for all deals but it makes sense for the larger deals. A government or company buying in bulk will not want to buy EOT at market price, they want to buy into a product and not have all these in-app purchases. Large entities of course will use the product often thus using the preloaded EOT and then will have to buy more from the market at a later date. Having a reserve with the premine will provide this.

Also airdrops and giveaways to other 'investors' have been made.

Please note no EOT will be burnt but instead recycled back, that was a miscommunication.

What we have been told:

CryptoDoc from my understanding is already been developed can encrypt files and will also use EOT.

What we have been told is that there are other tangible products such as a router and cameras, all using EOT. These as we have been told are past the advance stages. We have also been told there is a XBOX game manufacturer in negotiations to develop their portfolio of games for the Bitvault.

In conclusion there are offices in India, UK, US, Germany and Japan. A lot of money has been spent making the Bitvault phone in association with VVDN. A large amount of money must be spent otherwise VVDN would not  support this project and VVDN have helped break into the market in India. Also the advertising production of the videos are not home-made requiring money. Kash Amini has publicly announced his support with Embedded Downloads and even allowed the use of his Lambo to promote it (check out other youtube adverts for EOT). If this was a scam its an elaborate scam with lots of money wasted on working products.

If we took the worse case situation and Willem Marais was part of the team or the brother of Hein Marais and weigh this up with the facts, does that risk for YOU equal the price of EOT? The price of EOT as at to date is less than US$0.01. Given the working products already out and and money spent you weigh up the risk you can afford. Ive made my decision on what I can afford based upon these facts and what could be. Have you?

Best case scenario is its not Willem or if it is him then he has turned over a new leaf. Or at least he is not even in charge but part of the team. Maradia Investment Fund has nothing to do with Embedded Downloads and if it's not a scam then EOT price will rise to the moon.

Please note there will be clarification on many of these points in the near future, hopefully demonstrated in the white paper so keep a look out.

Each person must consider their own risks. Don't allow FOMO to take over and remember caveat emptor!

Introduction

People seem to have lots of questions regarding EOT. Some of the answers are of my personal opinion and I am not a team member of Embedded Downloads. I have obtained the answers through Slack and communication with the official team and community members.
I have outlined questions about mining, the Waves Platform and have shown the relationship between the Public Blockchain and the premined coins. I have briefly described the difference between EOT cryptocurrency and the inherent Blockchain and discussed multiple Blockchains and the dynamics of price influence.
This is only a brief outline and it was my goal to collate these answers in one convenient place for people to review, as it was difficult to retrospectively read through Slack to find these answers. There were also a lot of misunderstandings.

Mining Clarification

EOT Coin

Coin and Token Discussion

To begin with lets review the EOT Blockchain Explorer rich-list (https://eotcoin.info/richlist). This list shows a wealth distribution roughly to date (19 Dec 2017) of 13.6897 million mined EOT coins and a coin supply of 113.6897 million. 100 million of these coins are in reserve for the 100 million tokens available on Waves, leaving the 13.6897 million coins that are mined by miners as shown on Coinmarketcap as circulating supply. The remaining coins have not been mined yet and are not in circulation and when calculated is 86.3103 million coins (200,000,000-13,689,700=86,310,300). Just keep in mind block halving takes place at block 500,000 and currently we are at block 136,905.
The following four addresses have been confirmed to be Embedded Downloads and have been put aside for future projects/devices including a reserve of 100,000,000 EOT coins for the Waves platform.

EeJdxdvjEbq1kw7KkGovvLMnAs9h7nB7e9

ETZ7powGjKeCRySD5YWbPLuj52LphXAbfc
EL5Km7NNY2wdMfHAmp3BLon7B9tAykQe62

The first Exchange EOT was available on was the Waves Platform. It was not an ICO but a way to distribute EOT for future businesses/organisations and other speculating investors to purchase, and this is why there is a 100 million tokens. Airdrops were originally distributed in this platform as the team feels this was the easiest method to expose EOT to multiple currencies. As fiat currencies and major cryptocurrencies are easily established to pair with EOT, it seemed logical as a good starting point.
It’s important to understand assets on the Waves Platform. Basically any asset is a representation of a currency and is maintain on the Waves Blockchain. This is separate to the EOT Blockchain and does have a mathematical relationship as seen above. Waves offer five services crucial for EOT to be traded on this platform.

Token creation
Deletion of Token
Transfer of Token
Anonymous order books
Decentralised Token Exchange (used with currency pairs)
-as seen in the Bid and Ask network transactions

https://blog.wavesplatform.com/waves-whitepaper-164dd6ca6a23

So how is this distributed you might ask? A reserve of coins is held and equal to the token so we can trade with Waves. This allows 1:1 token/coin swap either way. Ultimately the EOT coin on the Blockchain is the primary functional chain and it’s the coin that will be used to validate and encrypt, not the token. However, every token on the Waves chain must be represented on the EOT coin Blockchain to allow for the 1:1 swap.

Not all of the wallets on the Waves Platform are in public distribution. The following Waves wallets are confirmed to be Embedded Downloads:

Difference Between Blockchain Technology and Cryptocurrency for EOT

There is a difference between the Blockchain and cryptocurrency using the Blockchain.
The EOT cyprocurrency uses the Blockchain as a ledger of transactions distributed over a P2P network and is decentralised. A consensus is agreed where network participants all agree on the validity of transaction before it is recorded and is termed mining. Cryptography is used (Scrypt algorithm) and computer power is required to process these equations proving legitimacy. This is termed ‘proof of work’ and is available on the public chain.

When EOT is used for functional purposes it then is transferred to inherent private Blockchain where its function is no longer a cryptocurrency but instead has the purpose of using cryptography to secure data and to validate.
For an interesting read between private and public Blockchain’s please refer to
https://blog.ethereum.org/2015/08/07/on-public-and-private-blockchains/

Multiple Blockchains

There are multiple Blockchains using EOT for security. It is important to state that no EOT will be burnt. Any EOT used with any product is reissued back to the ecosystem. The only loss of EOT is when a product is destroyed or a wallet is made unavailable for whatever reason. That EOT is then out of circulation.

The EOT Blockchain is obviously the primary chain, and an alternative chain would be on the Waves Platform enabling the existence of the token. As mentioned above they have a close mathematical relationship allowing the 1:1 swap to take place anytime. This allows the price for the coin and token to be the same.

Other chains mentioned are the inherent chains that allow the functionality of the products. For an example if using the messaging function with the Bitvault® the encryption and validation for this application would take place using the EOT coin. It would operate on an independent private chain for these actions. Another separate chain would exist if using a different application such as a phone call with the Bitvault®, using CryptoDoc or a Router that uses the EOT coin. These separate private Blockchains prevent compromise. This is added security making each application independent.

Once the user finishes using the application that private chain is no longer active and the spent EOT coin is then made available to Embedded Downloads to redistribute back to the public Blockchain. The redistribution is part of the process and is vital with its implications.
That private blockchain does not exist for anyone to review and it’s no longer available after the call, message or whatever it was used for. Only the recipients that know the private keys are privy to this chain.

It is important to understand that the EOT Blockchain (https://eotcoin.info/) is a public ledger for the EOT coin and does not reflect the inherent Blockchains. EOT cryptocurrency is used initially and then at the end of the cycle will end up back on the public Blockchain. Intermediately the EOT coin doesn’t function as a cryptocurrency but uses the cryptography aspect to encrypt and validate data.
You will only know the address for the coins and when the coin was used but not what the coin is used for or who owns the address.

Trading Dynamics for EOT

Without getting into the entire dynamics of trading the answer is supply and demand.
You can limit the supply to prevent deflationary rates or make it scarce to add value. But what gives anything value is demand. Making demand for EOT is a product that requires EOT to be spent. Having products available like the Bitvault®, CryptoDoc, EOT camera’s and EOT Routers etc are examples of products to build a reason to use EOT, it does not build price.

Individual people will have to buy from the market but most expenditure for EOT would be from in-app purchases, for an example when playing a game you would upgrade something in the game, spending EOT. Maybe the xbox game manufacturer that is in current negotiations is considering this? You never know. Anyhow buying from the market increases price.

Targeting large agencies gives the opportunity for bulk orders and therefore more EOT to be spent. Even with preloaded devices, at some point these agencies would need to purchase from the market. How often they use the product would determine how quickly they would use EOT. An example would be an EOT Router or EOT camera being continually used. Most cities already stream data and use cameras continuously so once cities become IOT compliant they could consider this avenue and continual use would spend EOT quickly.

Those companies who bought in bulk would have to spend lots of money to purchase EOT on the open market. As large agencies are targeted it would be better to preload products and include it in the initial cost. This would provide them with price security and increase the chances of them buying into the product giving them market appeal. Agencies buying into a product with this method will enable future EOT price growth, as they need to buy in the future.

Another consideration would be having any product with unspent EOT, this would remove EOT from circulation for a period of time making it scarcer until it is used and returned to the ecosystem. The more products in use, the more EOT removed from the market therefore increasing price (scarcity).

Slowly building cliental with products and having real life solutions will prevent hype. Having hype will led to a quick price increase and is more often reflected with low quality. You often see a price spike following good news then a price retracement to previous support levels and then continuing to fall if it has no basis. Psychologically the assumption is with the price plummeting after the spike, there was no real cause to sustain a high price, thus hype has a negative connotation. If the project is more robust and people see stability and slow growth, then a slow and steady price increase is demonstrated.

EOT might be held in some products for 3-4 years but again this is limited. The answer is two-fold and depends on how often it us used and what product is in use as commented in above paragraphs.

At some point in the far future the premine will be exhausted (because of unavailable wallets or broken/unused products) and no option is left but to buy on the open market. As it is designed now, the recycled EOT to Embedded Downloads has extended this period. This in no means is detrimental but has a business model of sustainability and giving market appeal for buyers of products.

Some people may ask how investors with EOT might make a profit if the coins are recycled. Bitcoin is not recycled; in fact not many coins on the market are, yet people make a profit. It is in innovation that helps create this demand.
Exposure to people and having EOT listed on larger Exchanges will make EOT known to more people. This in itself is news and a price increase will be expected. Exchanges have been applied to but Embedded Downloads has no power to know if or when they will list EOT. Maybe they to are waiting for product distribution with a review of this innovative technology, we do not know.

News brings an increase in price and so does FOMO. Having a product behind this cryptocurrency is a rarity and especially with real life solutions. As we have seen with IOTA people do not want to miss out with this new technology and price will reflect this once the public become aware of EOT.

One last point, you can see that there has been a price decrease with EOT since its release. This is indeed true but expected with miners dumping and the market stabilising after release. This has been demonstrated in many other markets. It is known for people to cash in their free coins after airdrops but notably emotional trading after release is common.

This is especially true for EOT as news for the delay in shipping with the Bitvault® has created market jitters and emotion has set in. Just compare the dates and the price compared to the release for the gateway for Waves opening to trade EOT. There was a dramatic price decrease during this news as people reacted with emotion.

Conclusion

EOT fills a market void with a multi billion industry using products and having real life solutions to encrypt data.
With the complexities surrounding trading it is impossible to determine the future price of EOT. It is important to realise the sustainability of EOT in its environment is crucial for the future.

EOT is only in its infancy and hasn’t shown any growth. It is the products that Embedded Downloads has concentrated on to help grow demand. As these products haven’t been released yet we are not expected to see price increases as seen by our peers. It is Embedded Downloads belief that creating this demand will bring growth as people realise how easy it is to practically protect privacy.

Once news is out about EOT’s products and more people become aware due to Exchange listings I would expect the exponential price increase to be dramatic compared to a slow and steady increase with product release. It is not the intention to have hype driving price but rather the adoption of technology.

It is firstly adoption by being innovative that is primary. This is the main goal, secondary is the price increase for EOT and this will no doubt appease speculators.

EOT is Open source and an EOT Toolkit will be available to assist with integrating EOT into IOT devices or apps early 2018.

Post by: Story777 on February 10, 2018, 03:27:17 AM
Hi guys, it’s been an exciting past couple of weeks for Embedded Downloads.

For those who don’t know Embedded Downloads is the company behind product releases that use the EOT coin for encryption. Specifically speaking EOT coin is used to encrypt data for IoT products by deriving a private key from a password. For more information please refer to the whitepaper (https://eotcoin.org/whitepaper/), and for various available products that use EOT please see https://swissbankinyourpocket.com.

All the available products use EOT coin to access the Blockchain and the Script algo is used for the generation of private keys.

For those who don’t know the website (https://eotcoin.org) has been revamped and looking more professional. It is now easier to navigate the website and additional links have been introduced to help transit this process.

Thanks to Crypto Sleeper Coins on YouTube for the review of EOT coin (https://youtu.be/9zkBvMvWJxU). There is currently movement underway to expose EOT coin and products to various crypto reviewers so keep an eye out for this.

In the past couple of weeks the product Embedded Vault (EV) was released. EV turns any PC into a secure hardware wallet (https://youtu.be/AkeYiknYpdk) and uses biometric security on your phone to generate dynamic keys. Basically this means connecting your phone (via Bluetooth) that has a fingerprint scanner to your PC will keep your crypto safe. Your private keys are never stored and it makes your fingerprint the key. No fingerprint means no access to your wallet.

Currently EV stores Bitcoin and EOT coin and is only available with the Android Phone (with fingerprint scanner) and a Windows PC. However, near future developments include IOS support, iPhone support and having the Waves token and EOT token added to the wallet. EOT coin to EOT token Exchange is also being developed to be operational with EV, so exciting times are currently ahead.  The timeframe for EOT coin/token Exchange and the waves wallet is expected to be complete on the 12 February if testing goes well. At the present time EV is a free download via the https://swissbankinyourpocket.com website and remains free until the end of February. EV has its own Bitcointalk forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2873567 if you have questions about this product or you can also ask on Discord.

For those of you who wish to have some more technical information regarding fingerprint sensors and security please refer to https://bit-media.org/news/an-independent-review-of-bitvault-the-worlds-first-blockchain-phone/ . Although this article is about the Bitvault you can find additional information about biometric scanning at the end of the article. This now leads me to an update for the anticipated Bitvault Phone. Yes, there is an update for the world’s first Blockchain Phone!

The defence force was one of the main audiences targeted for the Bitvault. VVDN Technologies Ltd as helped pursue this adventure.

50 units of the Bitvault have been ruggedised and dispatched to military for field-testing! Also for those waiting to hear how FCC and CE certification are going, the Bitvault is in its final testing to keep with regulations. First shipment for individual units is expected at the end of February.

The SBIYP hardware wallet (different to EV) accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum and EOT coins. Bitcoin Cash wallet upgrade is expected to be added in the next 10 days and the Ripple Wallet will be expected sometime after as it is currently being worked on and is at the initial stages of development.

Whitepapers and manuals are expected to be added to the Amazon Kindle Store and various Banner advertisements for EOT coin are running on Coindesk, Coingecko, Zero Hedge and more.

An official brochure is to be submitted for a Money 20/20 stall - publication expected on the 16 February.

With all these projects and developments the demand for EOT will increase. Just remember everyone that EOT coin is on Cryptobridge Exchange and the token is available on the Waves Platform or Tidex. Only the EOT coin can be stored in your desktop qt-wallet and the token-if to be stored securely is on the Waves Platform where you hold the private keys.  Coins and tokens are interchangeable and an OTC website can help you with the 1:1 swap (http://www.swapfox.me) or community members on Discord (invite - https://discordapp.com/invite/C6FXn6Z).

For more info on the difference between the coin and token please see whitepaper or FAQ on https://eotcoin.org.

How long will it be possible to convert EOT Tokens to EOTCoins? Is it still more interesting to buy at DEX WAVES? Where can I get a token converter for coins? It's viable? Suddenly, projects like these became important, the need for security increased!

A couple of days ago I asked a question about the conversion EOT Coins to EOT Tokens. Here is the answer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2091616.msg30328936#msg30328936

Are you sure?  Are we able to setup EOT masternodes with our own coins?
Stupid question maybe, I am after all... the super noob.

If so, I would love to know how.  How many coins are required?

Hi everyone, this is a copy of a update memo published by Embedded Downloads dated 26 Feb 2018:

Embedded Vault - Vision

The Rollout of the Embedded Vault has been a massive success and we have decided to build on this by setting out the Vision and Roadmap for the Embedded Vault beyond June 2018.
We believe this product could be a “Game Changer” and the “Killer Blockchain Application” for 2018.
We thus are announcing exciting further developments and setting out our Vision for the Embedded Vault going forward.

The story so far..

What is the Embedded Vault?
Turn any Laptop or Computer into a secure hardware wallet and a crypto communicator
Yes, your PC can now be a secure hardware wallet for your cryptocurrency and it will be more secure than a traditional hardware wallet device because private keys are not stored on any device and can only be recreated by the user using Dynamic Key Creation
Now you can get the features of secure crypto communication without purchasing additional hardware.

How is this possible?
You are the key.

Embedded Downloads pioneered the concept of “Dynamic Key Creation”, a solution where the private encryption keys are dynamically created by the user and are NEVER stored anywhere thus keeping it out of reach of hackers.

Using this concept we can...

Turn any Laptop or Computer into a secure hardware wallet:
Yes, your PC can now be a secure hardware wallet for your cryptocurrency and it will be more secure than a traditional hardware wallet device because as we have stated before, the keys are not stored on the device and can only be recreated by the user using dynamic key creation.

The Embedded Vault launch stages

Stage 1: The first version included secure Wallets for Bitcoin and EOT and is complete.
Stage 2: includes a Waves Wallet as well as an EOT coin / EOT token exchange. This stage is complete
Stage 3:  [ Completion end of February 2018 ] Ripple, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash Wallet added. [ Ethereum Wallet is complete ]
Stage 4:  [ Completion 31 March 2018 ] Mac / IOS Version release
Stage 5:  [ Completion 30 April 2018 ] Secure Messaging Application
Stage 6:  [ Completion 30 June 2018 ] Secure Calling
Stage 7:  [ Completion September 2018 ] Document Transfer, Media Vault

Protecting the Connected

Now we are taking this concept ever further with enhancements that we believe will put an Embedded Vault on the devices of every crypto user.

Announcing:

ERC-20 Integration

Embedded Vault will integrate all Ethereum ERC-20 tokens, this means that every Ethereum created token will have a secure wallet on the Embedded Vault without the need of developers to develop their own wallet. A developer will simply have to create a new token and the wallet will be in the Embedded Vault automatically.

Development on this integration will start immediately and we foresee a 3 month completion period. The roadmap will be updated with specific timeframes shortly.

Embedded Exchange

This is going to be a major development. The Embedded Exchange will be a decentralised cryptocurrency exchange.  A decentralized exchange is an exchange market that does not rely on a third party service to hold the customer's funds. Instead, trades occur directly between users (peer to peer) through an automated process.

The Embedded Exchange will not only be decentralised, it will also run inside the Embedded Vault which means the whole exchange itself will be encrypted and ultra secure.

Development on the exchange will start in the first week of March and we see a completion period of 9 to 12 months. Embedded Downloads will have a dedicated Embedded Exchange team and project manager. The project manager will publish the complete Embedded Exchange Roadmap shortly.

ICO - All in One

The applications developed above creates an environment for ERC-20 token creators in which they can easily develop their token and then launch their ICO. With the ICO - All in One solution, they immediately get a wallet as well as a listing on the Embedded Exchange.

This will make the Embedded Vault and the Embedded Exchange an exciting product for ICO issuers to use. We will actively be pursuing collaboration and alliances with the creators of new tokens and ICO’s.
A complete and comprehensive update on the Embedded Vault roadmap will be added to the Embedded Downloads website shortly.

Just to note, for those who wish to create a paper-wallet for their EOT please see https://github.com/EmbeddedDownloads/EOTCoinPaperWallet

You know how many engineers and folks Apple and Google have trying to make a secure phone and it's still super hard? And these folks are going to somehow do it and be successful and not give you a super vulnerable and buggy app?

Not going to work, sorry.

It really amazed me when I talked with EOT team member in slack and they shared some insight with me. Soon EOT will be used in various devices for encryption valuable data, EOT will be a huge success. Large project takes time for development. Team initiated some marketing campaigns to promote EOT. And I am gathering EOT and holding them for future. Hope, EOT will be added in various exchanges. Feeling excited.

The Bitvault phone can also make normal calls to other phones. When making the call Bitvault to Bitvault via the blockchain the call and data sent is private. Also certain aspects of the bitvault have been restricted to make stealing data or tracking impossible. One of the reasons standard Apps from the google app store don't run on the phone is that most apps share information with a 3rd party. Also some apps have backdoors so the restriction to software stops people downloading it without knowing.

It would be nice if the whole IoT market would use EOT. Also you can use fractions of EOT to perform the encryption/validation on the blockchain.

BitVault® - Customer Update - 9 March 2018

The purpose of this document is to give customers an update on the BitVault® project as well as information on new developments.
For the sake of clarity we will cover two market segments, firstly the consumer market and secondly the enterprise market.

Background

The last 2 years have been both exciting and challenging with a number of hurdles that had to be navigated in the process of designing and building the world’s first blockchain smartphone and crypto communicator. Not only is building a smartphone a challenge in itself but then integrating blockchain technology into it can lead to many sleepless nights for those involved.

The project was conceived and the initial design was created by Embedded Downloads and then we engaged with VVDN Technologies of India, a world leading design and manufacturing house, to assist in the design and manufacturing of the BitVault®. The end result has been a project that we are very proud of because of the unique features as well as the pioneering technology used. We want to take this opportunity to thank VVDN for the part they played and continues to play in making this project successful.

The BitVault® was first demonstrated to the public at the London Fintech week in July 2017, where we were the gold sponsor of the event. The product was well received by the Fintech community and Embedded Downloads are working with a number of Fintech companies and banks on the enterprise solution side. The phone demonstrated at the event was a prototype and the technology was shown to the participants which proved that blockchain technology could successfully integrate with physical devices.

The next step now is delivering the product to the market.
As stated before we have segmented the market into two areas, 1. Consumer Market and 2. Enterprise solutions. For reasons we will explain below, Embedded Downloads have always favoured concentrating on Enterprise Solutions and this is where we will have a stronger focus in future.

Consumer Market

Bringing a new smartphone to consumers is an exciting but also a daunting prospects and there are a variety of issues to be considered such as sales channels, logistics and shipping, customer support and not insignificant various legal and compliance issues.

Certification:

To make the sale of product legal in different jurisdictions, devices need to be certified. There are several certification required to enable worldwide sale and shipping of a mobile device. We will look at each separately.

CE Certification

The CE marking is a mandatory conformity marking for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1985.
Manufacturers must affix the CE marking to their mobile devices in order to market their products in Europe. Once a product receives the CE marking, it can be marketed throughout the EU without having to undergo further product modification.

33 countries in total require the CE marking for certain products to go onto the market. The 28 member states of the EU plus EFTA countries (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein) plus Switzerland and Turkey. At the moment it is unclear what the situation of the United Kingdom would be after BREXIT. [  Note: This is one of the reasons why Embedded Downloads incorporated in Ireland as well  ].

FCC - Federal Communications Commission

The FCC are an independent agency of the US government that regulate interstate communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.

The FCC label or FCC mark is a certification mark needed for electronic products that are manufactured or sold in the US.

ROHS - Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive
“RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All electronic products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance.

WEEE - Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation (WEEE) is a directive in the European Union that designates safe and responsible
collection, recycling and recovery procedures for all types of electronic waste.

Manufactures must register in every individual EU country. Without the WEEE registration a product cannot be placed on the EU market.

-Producers will be expected to pay an annual registration fee to the appropriate Agency.
-Producers, or WEEE compliance schemes acting on their behalf, will be required to report data on the amount of EEE which they put onto the market.
-Producers will be required to report this data annually to the Agencies. It will be an offence not to do so.

The certifications above are the main ones and BitVault® is now compliant. However this list is by no means extensive and several other countries have their own certification requirements.
Legal and Compliance

The legal and compliance issues around electronic devices are complex as it is but with blockchain encryption entering into the picture this area has to be navigated with circumspection.
Issues that need addressing are restrictions on use or sale, importing and exporting, licensing requirement as well as the possibility that certain countries might insist on “back-doors” to enable law enforcement to access communications or data that were encrypted.

Shipping

There are many customers eagerly awaiting the shipment of their BitVault® and we understand that some are frustrated but as can be seen from the above, we do need to comply to all laws, regulations and requirements. We are however close to commencement of shipping but because of different licensing requirements in different countries not all shipping will be starting at the same time and we will let individual customers know what their situation is.

We are also clarifying the legal stance of the European Union on encryption for communication and will we have an update on this next week, we need this before any shipping to individuals can commence.

Enterprise Solutions

We see enterprise solutions - [ selling to big businesses and other organisations ] as our main marketing area and we are currently actively involved in pursuing a number of enterprise projects.
An enterprise project is much more than selling a single device to users.

The BitVault® ultimately proves the concept that blockchain technology can integrated into physical devices and in this case change a smartphone into a crypto communicator. Similarly the technology can be used to bring unique features like, Dynamic Key Creation and Blockchain Encryption to various devices like routers, cameras, other IoT devices and for uses such as verification and even access control, not to mention secure payments.

The possibilities for application is endless and as demonstrated by the BitVault®, it can be done.
Here are a few of the Enterprise Solutions we are actively pursuing.

Defence Technology

As have been reported extensively we are currently involved with a project with the Indian military as well as with other security customers within India. The military are currently testing not only the, device, the BitVault®, for purchase but are also looking at the application of BitVault® technology in other areas. Dealing with the military is a long and hard journey but at the end of it all, they are a quality customer and we are confident of a major order in the range of 250,000 to 500,000 units as well as ongoing blockchain projects. Military organisations need encryption in various areas and Embedded Downloads in association with VVDN are currently leaders in this area.
We are also currently in talks with other military organisation about BitVault® blockchain technology and will provide information on this as soon as we can.

Financial Technology

We are currently pursuing projects with banks in Ireland but also with a large international bank in the area of Fintech. Again the BitVault® technology has major application in this area.
Partnerships to consumer markets

As we demonstrated in the discussion about the consumer market, to have a “all-in-one” approach might not be feasible and in some countries it is impossible to operate without a local partners. Examples would be China and also Russia.

Thus we announced earlier this month our partnership with Deecrypto a Russian blockchain company. As you can see from the list we provided on import restrictions, Russia is one of the countries that has a total ban on encryption products. These restrictions are slowly starting to lift with all the developments in the blockchain area but without a local partner that can represent you in a country like Russia, sales would not only be illegal but impossible. These partnerships are complex and entail special arrangements, power of attorneys as well as licensing. A local partner is also much better geared to provide essential customer service solutions.

We are actively pursuing partnerships to enable penetration into more countries to which we cannot sell directly.
Embedded Downloads are also engaged [ under NDA ] with a major electronics consumer company to apply BitVault® technology to a number of consumer devices. Unfortunately, at the moment we cannot give any details on this.

As we have mentioned, several times, we are focussed on the enterprise market and we invite any potential partners to reach out to us in this regard. We will, going forward, provide regular customer updates.

For a full review of this update please read: http://embeddeddownloads.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/BitVault®-Customer-Update-9-March-2018-1.pdf

You have a couple of options available to you.

1. Download Embedded Vault (https://swissbankinyourpocket.com/product/embedded-vault/). There is an exchange there that you can use yourself for the swap. The download is currently free until end of Feb. Just add this to your cart, you will be charged nothing. Then download.

2. Use OTC method - http://swapfox.me/ This is a legit site where you can do the swap. Scroll down to see the business hours.

3. Go to the EOT Discord where members there can help you. Go to channel "convert-coin-token" (and vice versa) and ask there.

It doesn't really matter if you hold the coin or token unless you are wanting to purchase EOT for using in Embedded Download products to encrypt, in this case purchasing the coin is a must. Otherwise if you are only buying the coin/token and holding and speculating with price then the option is yours to chose.

For those who don't know EOT can be traded with LTC on https://graviex.net/markets/eotltc

Graviex. net has an additional decimal which mean that the lowest number you see is 0.1 satoshi not 1 satoshi. if you don't pay attention to that you will lose 90% of your money in just one trade.

Can you tell me about it in a nutshell?

I will give it a go. For more info please visit https://eotcoin.org

The EOT cryptocurrency uses the Blockchain as a ledger of transactions distributed over a P2P network and is decentralized. A Scrypt algorithm is used where your password is used to derive an encryption key. EOT is developed for the use with the “Internet of Things” (IoT) through a process whereby physical items, which are linked to the Internet, are being safeguarded.

Embedded Downloads (http://embeddeddownloads.com) is the company behind producing products that use the EOT coin for encryption and have already produced various products to date. Their flagship is the Bitvault (Blockchain Communicator Phone) where they have collaborated with VVDN technologies as a in for the Indian military to use. They are currently trialling this phone.

It is important to realise that Embedded Downloads are pushing their products for Enterprise Use, especially the Bitvault. This is somewhat different to other crypto projects, however, not all products are for Enterprise and some are targeted for individual use.

Deecrypto (http://deecrypto.ru), a Russian based company are selling products from their store to the general public as well.

Other products include:

Swiss Bank In Your Pocket Hardware Wallet (Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, EOT and Ether - ripple is currently been worked on)

Embedded Vault (gateway for crypto's and a secure msg/file application)

Please visit https://swissbankinyourpocket.com for other products.

Another project being worked on is the use of EOT with routers to secure data and the use of EOT with IoT camera's. There are also other products being worked on.

EOT coin is also mineable.

EOT is a coin and a token that is available on Waves. They are 1:1 changeable with the above products or as an alternative there is http://www.swapfox.me/ and you can also use community members on discord for this.

EOT is a scam, they simply drag the faithful along with lies, but the deeper you dig and longer you hang around the more you see.

They have no intentions of actually becoming the coin they claim, just look into the guy who runs it and why it tanked from $2+/coin to $.003/coin.  They promise important updates, and give you crap...

Start Googling!  You can find a dozen or more complaints from people who paid for bitvault 4+months ago and STILL cannot get in touch with the team.  Not just dont have the phones, but can't reach anyone at bitvault!

STAY AWAY FROM EOT!  The discord is full or sycophants who lost so much money they absolutely refuse to see the truth (many of them lost 20+ btc allegedly, their own words)

Please always do your own research with anything you invest in. Never put all your eggs into one basket and keep in mind that cryptocurrency is relatively a new technology. As we have seen with BTC, regulation has an affect including environmental and political standings.

My advice with investing in crypto is if you are going to lie in bed and worry about an investment then don't invest in it. You have either invested too much because you are worrying about it or unhappy with your choice. Simply don't do it. If you have entered trade then exit it and move on.

It is your personal reasoning to do so, but in doing so don't spread FUD without fact. If you think something is not right with a project then that is your personal opinion, if other people want to invest then that is their right. Your opinion does not supersede those who want to invest, so spreading FUD implies your opinion is more superior over other people. It shows arrogance to keep posting your opinion over and over telling other people want they should think.

One thing for sure is proof is in the pudding, time will tell if a project is worth wild investing in, including EOT. EOT is for the long term as products are in its infancy and have only just been developed. I personally have researched into Embedded Downloads and EOT and are offended by people with false accusations because they are emotional about something.

When reviewing the EOT white paper you can see the public addresses Embedded Downloads Ltd controls, this is for the coin and for the token. It is transparent.

I have written before about the price of EOT and my personal opinion on this, anyone can go back and read about this on Bitcointalk. EOT is a cryptocurrency and when purchased you are not buying into the company, it is not shares thus not a security. Embedded Downloads is privately funded and they are provide products that use EOT. Buying EOT, you do not own any part of the company and this is very different to how most crypto projects work. Please remember there was no ICO, otherwise you would be investing into a company and this could arguably be a classified as a security asset.

EOT members are thus made up of community members as EOT is decentralised and Embedded Downloads does not control EOT. EOT and Embedded Downloads are separate entities and it is entirely up to the community members if they want to reveal themselves. As Embedded Downloads is a private company it is entirely up to them to do as they please. Just remember we are not buying into the company by buying EOT so we have no say how the company is run. We do know the CEO Hein Maris and he is also seen on a few videos promoting EOT and the Bitvault.

Embedded Downloads has made it very clear that their products i.e. Bitvault was targeted for Enterprise Solutions such as military and Financial Institutions. This again is in the whitepaper. Currently in the crypto world it is what the community is only starting to see now - other enterprises targeting commercial use rather than private.

It has already been explained why the Bitvault was initially delayed late last year, due to FCC and EMC regulations. Just recently an update was released explaining this, in fact I have already published the link, here it is again http://embeddeddownloads.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/BitVault®-Customer-Update-9-March-2018-1.pdf . In fact, the Finney Blockchain phone also needs to comply with these regulations once they attempt to sell their phone, so this is not a isolated case. Everyone needs to comply to these restrictions.

This however does not affect the Bitvault Phone that is already being trailed with the military. There are currently 50 units being trialled.

To further this, since EOT has been on the market other products have been released such as Embedded Vault including an updated version. Other cryptocurrencies have also been added to products with each blockchain being worked on individually. This means the Hardware Wallet can accept more than just EOT. ALOT of effort has been put into coding.

When EOT was first released there was the Hardware Wallet and news of the Bitvault. The Hardware Wallet was available to buy and many people did so and received it. Since then there have been updates for this. My point here is since EOT has been on the market only a couple of products were available and a couple of Exchanges. With supply and demand two things would have happened, supply increased (through mining) and demand decreased, therefore price went down. Go back and review the posting here on Bitcointalk if you wish for a more detailed opinion.

When researching Embedded Downloads you can see Hein Marais is the CEO, you can also see that the business is registered and the Bitvault has a patent on it. This is all public and cost money to do so. Research it.

It has been mentioned by FUD'ers that Deecrypto, a reseller for the Russian community was fake and Embedded Downloads was behind it. This was quickly proven incorrect and I welcome people to review Discord of this evidence - or just Google it. :) Those FUD'ers no longer talk about it.

A quick google would see that someone (Martin_Yau) met Hein Marais and other people from Embedded Downloads at a Fintech Meeting and had a quick review of the Bitvault, a video was provided by him. Also other community members were at the opening for promotion for the Bitvault proving their existence.

Let's talk about the company VVDN Technologies and how they are promoting the Bitvault. VVDN Technologies is a large company that is making the Bitvault available for the Indian Government to use. They are a real company so lets review the connections for this.

Located in India (www.vvdntech.com). SO-9001:2008 Certified company. Let’s show initiative and investigate further. Let see if there was a private event with a limited number of tickets that is in the recent past to show a connection. Let’s use VVDN’s actual website. 24 June 2017, Event Schedule at 11:45am - 12:45pm  - Multiple Speakers from VVDN Technologies & Embedded Downloads Ltd (http://inibm.in/index.html), check out the sponsors at the bottom. This is VVDN’s website. Just in case check the website and see who registered it and the country they are from. To save you time it is India, Uttar Pradesh. Cross reference him and he works for VVDN Technologies. Use a domain lookup and do it yourself. I have previously posted this paragraph before, as this is a copy and paste.

This shows a link between  VVDN Technologies & Embedded Downloads Ltd, but are there other connections? Yes there are.

Embedded Downloads partnered with electronic contract manufacturing firm Napino for making this phone at their facility in Majedar (https://www.pesmashup.com/united-technologies-corporation-sells-cyient-stake-100m.html or https://topgadgets.news/indian-company-vvdn-unveils-blockchain-founded-smartphone-at-rs-75000/ google it for yourself). A memo released by VVDN Technologies (https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/vvdn-and-napino-auto-collaborate-to-lead-innovation-in-cloud-managed-iot-products-610259825.html) has stated that Napino has made a strategic investment into VVDN Technologies and shall jointly target markets in the United States, Europe, China and India with revolutionary IOT products. This is how Napino and VVDN Technologies are linked and why VVDN Technologies is behind the Bitvault. This memo was initially released on their website.

To conclude Embedded Downloads is a registered company, have a patent and have developed real software to use EOT and also hardware products that are real. A real international company VVDN Technologies is behind the Bitvault and the reseller Deecrypto is proven real.

This will be my only response to you AirdropFaucet, I genuine believe that you believe it is a scam. I will not be able to change your mind as only you can do that and you have given your opinion so I hope you feel better in doing so and can sleep easier at night.

I respect you have an opinion and you have stated so. Some have invested a lot into EOT, so what, thats their prerogative. People can do their own research and I encourage it because I never invest in anything without investigating first. Everyone has different financial risks, who knows maybe 20+ BTC to them is nothing.

I personally find it offensive that you claim your "research" is in more depth than mine and your opinion supersedes mine or other peoples, as you state it is a scam and I do not.  This is my personal view and not a reflection on you as a person. I believe no doubt that you  believe what you have stated, and are not a bad person, as I have seen you conduct yourself online. You are not offensive towards individuals which shows respect on your behalf. Just understand I'm upset because of what you claim and obviously disagree with.

Please don't respond to this because you cannot change my mind and I cannot change yours.

Hi everyone,

just another update:

Check this video:
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/EoQK/PCnru3yrt

Embedded Downloads, the developers of the world’s first blockchain phone, the BitVault® and Deecrypto, a Russian blockchain and crypto
company announced  that the companies signed an agreement to launch a “white-label” BitVault®, customised for the Russian market.

This is good news for the team. At the moment Embedded Downloads is trying to create a market for the use of EOT. Russian is another massive market and we are all looking forward to the future.

Too many miners today. I started mining with 20gh/s while total nethash were 26GH. As soon as I start, diff goes from 600 to 2800 and total net hashes goes to 90GHS from 26. Net result is, I mined at a loss. My query is, what happened with EOT mining? Or there were some one to manipulate the mining hashes.

Hi everyone,

just some new information to share, it's a copy and paste from Discord EOT:

Update on IoT Toolkits

The IoT team announced today that they have managed to run the EOT, Linux Wallet on the Raspberry Pie Device.

This is the start of IoT Toolkits making it possible to load EOT and do encryption from devices with a very small processor making it very inexpensive for hardware developers to implement.

The Wallets loaded on the Raspberry Pie will now be ported to the official Microsoft Internet of Things and Android Internet of things platforms.

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/iot

https://developer.android.com/things/index.html

Developing onwards from these the team are now implementing designs for pressure and temperature sensors with secure encrypted data using EOT.

This is really exciting news as there a literally millions of these sensors in factories, cities etc.

Im not actually too sure on whats happening. I doubt there is manipulation of the difficulty but the UI might be delayed in displaying the correct difficulty. I tried mining myself a couple days ago with a diff of about 500, was mining 35 GHS and the UI displayed an expected diff and the network increased 35 GHS.

Hi there, did you coins arrive ok? If not can you please tell me more information please.

Reasons I can think of for a delay would be the Pool you used for mining was delayed with the payout. Normally payouts are per hour but each pool is different with you times.

Another reason is the wrong EOT coin address was given. Please make sure its the EOT coin address you have and not the EOT token address.

Also check on the Pool that it is mining and don't just rely on what your miner is saying.

Please let me know if it all worked out for you.

How to solo-mine this coin?

network hash is about 25 gh/s , algo scrypt. And minimum diff is around 500. Hence arise the question, what is your mining hardware? L3+ will provide around 504 mhashes. Now calculate your mining profitability. If you do not know how to calculate then please search any scrypt mining calculator and input the above details to find out your mining profitability

coins havent reached the wallet though the blockchain says they have

wtf ?

Can anyone advise what is going on ?

Hi there, did you coins arrive ok? If not can you please tell me more information please.

Reasons I can think of for a delay would be the Pool you used for mining was delayed with the payout. Normally payouts are per hour but each pool is different with you times.

Another reason is the wrong EOT coin address was given. Please make sure its the EOT coin address you have and not the EOT token address.

Also check on the Pool that it is mining and don't just rely on what your miner is saying.

Please let me know if it all worked out for you.

Story777, Do you know - why I can not find an EOT token on coinmarketcap? Permanently deleted? Or is it a temporary bug?

If you google EOT token price, you can click the link to coinmarketcap, and it all comes up, just cant find it in the search when you put it in on the coinmarketcap website, must just be a bug

Yep, you're right. Apparently, some kind of a bag on the coinmarketcap site!
And not only with the search. The "Markets" section is also empty. EOT Markets - No Active Markets.

I think coinmarketcap disabled EOT, because the coin does not have the required trading volumes.

Are there any sources of news other than Discord?
Maybe Twitter, Medium, anything else?

It would be nice if someone from the team broadcast the news in this topic.

But it would be very useful I guess to publish updates or any important news here too, not only in twitter or discord, cause not everyone who is interested in EOT are using them, but everyone use bitcointalk for sure.

I am seeing so much prospect in this coin amidst the FUD trailing it, but still I have some questions I need to be cleared up. What is the difference between EOT tokens in waves platform and the EOT coin? Can I still be able to swap EOT tokens bought in Waves DEX to EOT coin? Which one is the widely accepted one now and what are the procedures for a swap if that is possible? Whats the circulating coin supply because I am seeing 25 million in coinmarketcap? A lot of discrepancies being read on this thread.

Just read back a couple of pages. The coins are always equal in value and there are several conversion options mentioned.

I've checked my eot wallet and it fully synced.
Try to add to conf file these nodes:
addnode=66.70.222.241
addnode=139.59.182.224
addnode=188.166.144.68
addnode=80.211.227.76
addnode=83.219.232.132

Sad to say, but it's not the most urgent problem at all.

Where is dev's team?!  ??? >:(

Because you can see it on the blockchain your funds are safe regardless what your wallet is displaying.
I'm not sure what wallet version you are using (full node) but check to make sure your wallet is sync'd.

on the 9th May (maybe 8th May your time) the wallet was updated and network resync'd. This may have corresponded to the time you tried to check your funds. Let me know how you get on.

Yesterday I opened account at https://eotwallet.com/ and sent 100,000EOT on my new wallet there.
Till now my deposit at https://eotwallet.com/ is:   Balance: EOT 0.00000000
And in history it shows that my deposit 07.06.2018, 16:08:22   EOT 100000.00000000 is still pending…
WHERE ARE MY EOT-COINS?

There are no "devs" currently working on the coin itself.

The coin was merely forked from BTC or LTC which can be done on a website for a fee.

The "team" did however manage to make a pretty decent hardware wallet which worked well enough for me. Unfortunately the servers that sync to the wallet are offline and funds cannot be moved.

The "team" has created a lot of great things around the coin but has neglected to actually work on the coin itself. They even made a smart phone.

The "team" have not been heard from lately, but before going into silence, they did express that they were willing to give the source code of the coin to developers who would be willing to work on it.

Great Potential and Hopefully a Greta Future Ahead for this Coin , However whats with the : DELETED message in the first page !

Get rid of it DEV cause it scares away anyone that is Interested !

There are no "devs" currently working on the coin itself.

The coin was merely forked from BTC or LTC which can be done on a website for a fee.

Could you please explain why the SBIYP is no longer working? The server that the wallets connect to is offline. So if you have any connection to Embedded Downloads please pass this information along. I have been trying to contact support for months now and no one is replying.

The wallet works, 8 active connections, a coin is mined, it costs a little. It is necessary to revive the coin.

a brilliant project. do you know why? projects with the theme of personal security will always be liked by many people who join the crypto world. and I think the project that will be done by EOt will attract investors to join.
