Title: Help recovering old account Post by: needOldAccount on August 15, 2017, 07:15:00 PM Hello bitcointalk,
Description of Problem: I am trying to login with my account that has been created before 2011. I tried to register new account and I found out that I already had account with that email. When I am trying to recover password I get error message "That account is not approved" or something like that. I searched my mailbox and I found some emails from 2015 that I should change password. I probably never did that password recovery because I wasn't active on this forum for a long time. Is there chance to recover that account? Regards Title: Re: Help recovering old account Post by: jackg on August 15, 2017, 09:07:52 PM Hello bitcointalk, Description of Problem: I am trying to login with my account that has been created before 2011. Also contact one of the admins with your username and a signed address (if possible) and ask them to unlock your account. He can post it here since hilariousandco can unlock it i.e. if he provided a solid proof that you own that account by signing a message with the bitcoin address associated in that account. Title: Re: Help recovering old account Post by: needOldAccount on August 16, 2017, 01:45:12 PM I am not quite sure what was my username. I can only give proof that I am owner of email address that is linked to that account.
Title: Re: Help recovering old account Post by: hilariousandco on August 16, 2017, 05:17:27 PM Contact an admin. I can't do anything unless it's a locked account that just needs the ban removing and even then you would have to prove the account is yours with a signed message which would be difficult seeing as you don't even know the name of the account.

Try Cyrus (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=78147)... But don't expect that it would be that fast... It takes a week or more...
