With the price at 4100 USD per bitcoin. Is it a good time to join? will it go pass the 5000 USD mark?

i think 5k is another mental barrier like 3k, i'm seeing a pump and dump now here in this phase, but in the future after segwit is activated is possible to have a price above 5k yes

Yes the bitcoin has grow very much this month and it will be at least 5000 USD this year

It is ALWAYS a good time to join and the price will ALWAYS increase.
Go ahead and buy Bitcoin whenever you have money or regret it later on when the price will be exponentially higher than it is today.

Recently through an article from an expertise prediction the price is expected to go around $7500. If that's gonna happen the without doubt the ongoing price increase is good and could get a bigger profit. This too doesn't look to be that late to invest into bitcoin though price trails above $4000.

5K is going to be easy. I expect that target to be attained by the end of this month. I just took a look at the coinmarketcap website and the trade volumes. Please check the BTC/JPY and BTC/KRW volumes and you'll understand why I am so confident about the future prospects of BTC.

Always is a good time to join in crypto world . The boat is never finished . In my opinion if bitcoin reached this year from 1600-1700 to 4100 ,  surely will pass the 6000 limit

very likely to happen in this month most probably after segwit is activated. This year has been really great for BTC it is gaining a lot of mainstream attraction, also from some major countries like Japan. So yes it's perfect time to get in BTC.

The answer to OP's question is absolutely YES! Bitcoin will reach 5000usd this year. And 6000usd is also possible. Just look in the BTC graph, bitcoin is preparing to moon.

A lot could happen during that segwit activition. But i think this is the day that btc will be adopted my many countries and some businnessmen. I think most in the asia has already made big impacts on btc so thats not new and even 1st world countries. A lot of people too are speculation that there will a 7k increase during the activation of the segwit plus if a third coin would be created during that segwit then more chances that btc will increase more.

Yeah Im also optimistic to this as bitcoin is indeed predictable.
It surpasses the $4000 that everybody expect to happen before the year ends.
What's to happen will happen in its own time.

I don't think we're going to reach 5k USD just yet. At least I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

However I would also never try to dissuade anyone from entering crypto with a sane amount of money. Long term I'm very bullish about BTC and it never ceases to surprise me. But I honestly think we're going to see 3k again before reaching 5k.

Its so sure that bitcoin will surpass the 5000k mark but the time is what no one is sure of and its not going to happen by magic because in the last few days, it has been hovering between $4000 and $4400 and as been stuck at this level. I guess we will have to witness some level of some stagnancy before we will see another massive breakthrough occasioned by some events which is not limited to the upcoming SegWit activation.

Are you asking us if at its current price ($4,100+), is it good time to join Bitcoin? I would say a big YES because technically this is a little correction or a retreat from the almost $4,500 level it broke through. Soon its value would try to go over $4,500 and can even soon be sighting $5,000. It is better to buy your Bitcoin now. Don't wait for its value to reach $5,000 because it would already be more expensive. However, there is really no late period when to enter Bitcoin.

we are very close to 5k at the moment at 4.3k It is only 15% left. I think we will reach very soon but I am not sure if it can pass it easily

your question is wrong.
you should be asking "when" will bitcoin go past $5000 not "will it". it is obvious that some day the price will get there as it was obvious it will get to $1000, then $2000 and so on.
it is the growing adoption that leads to this constant price rise. but since it is a time consuming process, it can take a while before we get there.

good news is $5000 is not that far. and we are on the way up right now.

Well as i seen i think the price right now will stay long in 4k value and i think the 5k can be reach around november to december base on my own speculation for now better to watch the movement of the price so that you will know if its a good time to buy or not because the price right now are really huge and i think there are times that the price can be fall so if you want to buy for much cheaper better to wait in the right time to buy bitcoin..
Like other said buying bitcoin is always a good decision because the price is increasing gradually every year every month patience is needed if you really want to make a profit..

If you keep waiting for price to dump so that you can buy cheap you might ask this same question when price will be at $5100 by end of this month. Just buy whatever you can at current price, hold them for atleast a year and I don't think you will regret this decision.

I really don't know what to think because before the fork Bitcoin decreased very bad and now , after this the Bitcoin is valued at 4000 but maybe the price will increase more in the future

Not only $5000 price can easily get to $50,000 mark within next few years so I suggest you to keep buying bitcoin with some % of your savings. You can make more profit than whatever interest your banks pays you for your savings.

The price has already reached around $4300 now after dropping to $4000 or something, so maybe it will go higher tomorrow or day after tomorrow, but as we always say, bitcoin is unpredictable, so anything can happen at any time. It always involves the risk if you are trading it for short-term, bitcoin is good for long-term trades, and if you are wishing to do a long-term trade with bitcoin, then i would say don't hesitate at all.

We have always been told there isn't a wrong or right time to buy bitcoins because the price is still expected to go up

It seems to me that the growth rate of prices should not be so fast. Most likely we will see a pullback. $ 5,000 we will see, I don't doubt that, but most likely it will be the end of the year after a strong fall. I've noticed that the price of bitcoin is similar to a tsunami. Before you have to roll a powerful wave goes the tide.

Nothing is easy when it comes to Bitcoin. In order to sustain current levels, there need to be a huge load of money coming into the Bitcoin economy. Always when the price is going up big time, people start losing track of reality. I seriously don't see the point of talking about $50,000 prices when we haven't even managed to reach the $10,000 level yet. We shouldn't forget that the planned hard fork in November is still some sort of an obstacle that can make the market fall all the way down.

Whenever asking price questions it helps to think about who is incentivized to do things. If we know where the incentives are we can get an idea of where the price will go. As for now, btc is just gaining mainstream attention. The global reach of btc means that it is likely to increase until hype dies off. Think about it, anyone who wishes to speculate will want some btc. If a small portion of the world decides to invest 100 dollars btc will see a crazy amount of gain cuz of the volume of people. I think that we will keep seeing an increase until btc is too easy to liquidate (when you can use it at your local grocery store).

I read now about some predictions that point in that direction, for some is almost certain that next year bitcoin will be worth $20.000

I was a bit sceptical earlier this year with scaling upgrade and all technical issues bitcoin network exhibited.
But not anymore (at least not for now) we are entered hardcore bullish mode and currently we are on the way to destroy another ATH limit.
$5000 thresholds will be reached before the end of the year for sure. That is - if we won't see any unforeseen negative events (another exchange hack, new negative Bitcoin law etc.)

Ya it will go but it will take time as you know that it has crossed more then 1k price from previous price within 1 week so now it will move in the range of 3900 to 4200 , so now it will take some time and then after some accumulation they will start the next uptrend and it may take time mostly this month we wont see 5000 price

As you posted this, the price was at $4,100 and now the price has reached into $4,331.

And it was very possible that we will be breaking the barrier of $5,000 very soon and we will expect higher price of bitcoin.

Hopefully first that its new floor price is $4,000 and no more sudden crash.

The same question was asked back in $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and so on, so I think you can make a conclusion now on your question about "is it a good time to join?". Bitcoin is long term so expect that $5,000 is breachable even it may not happen now.

Even after you bought at the current rate then the price suddenly decrease, just hold it. After all it may reached again the price level you able to bought. Now that hopes for bitcoin price to increase more is on the hype right now, you have reason to believe that soon it will hit $5,000 mark or even higher.

If you want to take the risk, then you can consider buying at this rate.

Yes I think it will reach $5000 before the end of this year because the value of bitcoin continuously increasing and the demand in bitcoin also growing many people are now getting interested in bitcoin and crypto-currency , different country as well as establishment starting to adopt bitcoin. I think in future time bitcoin will be like as other national currency and became a major currency of the world.

Yes definitely it will surpass the 5000 value. Last week I've been saying to other threads that we will be seeing the 4000 by the end of this month and that we will pass 5000 by the end of this year or early next year. But look at the numbers now. We're still half way of this month. Just as I thought that my prediction last week was due to my confidence in btc. Clearly I underestimated its potential. So, it might be an exaggeration but now I'll put the game a little higher at 10,000 by the end of this year of the trend goes on.

Bitcoin will never become a national currency because it can not be centralized.
I'm sure that bitcoin will overcome the $ 5000 mark in the middle of September 2017. By the end of the year, it should cost 15,000 dollars

It may be a fluctuations of price in bitcoin. But it will not like the price will decrease constantly .So it will be achieved by Before.

i invested all my saving at BTC .. but it is 24 hours loong and more .. BTC is not  rising .. it is just circulating fromm 3890 to 4100..

To be honest, this is bad news for growth Bitcoin in next time, because most trader will choose this price for take profit and the whales will choose the way avoid it. They don't stupid helps us take profit after they spend their money for pump Bitcoin.

Well at the moment, for the market value of Bitcoin to pass or reach  $5,000, it maybe be a little bit difficult because it is currently under going correction which may likely reach - 10% before its next move to break $5000 resistance.  What happened at the time it was trying to break  $3,000 resistance may likely happen at this time.

I remember this is the same scenario way back at $2,000. We saw it on how it made at $2,500 fast but it is not exceeding and passing $3,000. But in the end it was able to surpass and reached $4,000. And this makes me think that it's good to see at $4,000 for too long maybe for a couple of months as it could pass $5,000 quick and will reach $6,000.

As of now the price of bitcoin is already 4300 dollars and for sure it will increase next week again so its better to hold your bitcoin or buy more bitcoin. For sure the price will reach 5000 dollars next week or maybe in the month of september so be ready we need patience and unity so bitcoin become high price more or become 5000 dollars price and next target will be 10k dollars.

Yes, it is the best time to join Bitcoin. It will surely hit the 5k$ mark, and we hope so. It is issued that there'll be another hardfork in the month of november. And the recent fork happened last month of august which made Bitcoin went skyrocket wherein continuous pumps took place that made it reach 4k$ mark in just a short period of time or a month to be specific. So it is expected to increase at the next fork.

No. In my opinion, this is probably one of the less opportune times to join.

If you really want to just stack some bitcoins up for the long term i would suggest that you wait for the dip at the start of next month and buy in a few coins then. I'd predict that the price should be at least $500 lower than the price right now.

I do expect a pump when Segwit comes, though.

Could well push bitcoin over $5k as far as anyone knows, but the dip is definitely coming.

I think that it is a good time to join if you are able to monitor the market at least 16 hours a day for any pumps.

I do think that we shall see some sort of major pump, at least 300+ USD in the next few days due to the activation of SW as many have talked about.

But it is likely that after that, there will be a major correction because we are in mania territory right now. As soon as you see a major pump, sell. But if you're uncomfortable with taking this risk then simply don't buy until the aforementioned dip comes.

The next barrier the entire user base focus at present is $5000, and as we have went around $4500 there is not much days left to reach $5000. If this doesn't happen in a short time span we need to wait till the end of the year to experience the price crossing $5000 and move toward a new ATH.

There are many people who have lamented for not being early adopters when bitcoin just started.

However I believe that those who have entered when the price still costs a few thousand dollars will be celebrating being also called early adopters when the price reaches $ 20,000 in a couple of years.

Mark my words we will be seeing that price in the end of next month or even before that and I am holding my coins and only sell when I see that price or even higher then that as the growth of bitcoin clearly suggests that now no one can stop bitcoin getting higher and higher.
