I think if you bought 4 years earlier, you might be having a good life now with your profits 5 years ago. But right now, you make more money than the people who bought more 4 years earlier and sold it that time. I just hope I can afford bitcoin and bought a lot of it in the past.

If we're talking "Bitcoin wishes" here....

....I wish I'd thought of, and invented, Bitcoin.

You bought them in 2013 so you must be having good gains by now ! congrats. I think 2017 also isn't so late to buy,  because the value of bitcoin has potential to increase more. Of course there are things like transaction time, fees, that have to be corrected in order for it to stay gaining.

In 2017 I still wish I was an early adopter who kept the coins this long and become rich. But this can't be changd so I will not regret it. At this moment I only wish that I could earn more bitcoins and also save them more as a kind of back up for rainy days and emergency situations, this is something I would like to change in the near future.

The best time to buy was years ago and the next best time to buy Bitcoin is now whenever there is a capacity and chance to do so. Of course, people who bought Bitcoin maybe 4 or 5 years ago got them at a much lower price and since Bitcoin has grown considerably then they must be enjoying the profits now...unless they sold their Bitcoin earlier and did not hold them until today. The message here is that it is never too late to get involved with Bitcoin.

Who wouldn't wish something like that. It should mean that you are economically situated now, so good for you. I am six, eight months in bitcoin world. I heard about bitcoin few years ago but wasn't interested for it. Off course, when I think now of missed opportunity I feel very sad but it's just the way it is.
Nowadays I have some amount on saving and hope for btc big growth.

I'm not worrying today because I didn't buy bitcoins in 2009. In the fact, I'm happy about that why? If I had bought btc in 2009, most definitely, I've sold them in 2012 or 2013. And, worrying today about that selling. Thanks god! I didn't buy btc in 2009.... :-*

Hello, who doesn't right?  You are lucky to find bitcoin early, when I found out about bitcoin it was only ranging over 900 to 1200 dollars now the price is quadrupled, I never taught that it will go that far, only if I hold each bitcoin I had. Now I won't be thinking wether it will go up or not I'll just hold and let it go over $10k per Bitcoin.

It is good that you are optimistic and not pessimistic like many other traders. Definitely it is useless to cry over split milk rather it is far better to utilize your time in devising new and better strategies than wasting time over mourning. Stay determined and patient, you will surely have numerous bitcoins soon.

I also regret that I did not buy bitcoins several years ago, but I think it's not too late and in a few years I will be able to rejoice that I have a profit from my coins, and someone else will be disappointed that he did not join.

I still wish I entered sooner, I' would have a lot more experience and probably more money.

It's hard to hold something that increases in value several orders of magnitude over the years, but even keeping just a small portion from initial stake would be a lot of money today.

There is nothing to regret. You have still entered the crypto market much earlier than many other people who are still unaware of these things. They are going to regret badly after few years. You are doing fine if holding bitcoins at present and treating them as an investment for making great profits.

It is always kept on recommended here that today also not too late to get into bitcoin. In my opinion too, it must be true because bitcoin is going to have very huge prices in future so we never need to regret about past.

If you would invest into BTC in first and second Quarter of 2013 I guess you would not hold anymore your BTC by 4 quarter of 2013 because of massive selll off in December and January.

And the same will be in 2021 some will say they wish they invested in 2017 when only $2,000 or $4,000 but here is the reality... even in 2021 maybe the price will be $50,000 so then if people invest soon within a decade or two it will be $1,000,000 so they will gain 20x on their investment in 10 years which is still an amazing amount compared to the stock market...

This cycle will keep on repeating till the Bitcoin exists. Bitcoin has inbuilt deflation and at present too supply is quite low than demand. Price will keep on increasing in future too. People will keep on making decent profit of Bitcoin. Bitcoin today is best investment asset because of high returns with less risks and have already surpassed other asset this year.

I also wish I did the same thing, I knew about bitcoin at its early age when it was still very cheap and I could have even bought 100 bitcoins then, but I didn’t because it was seeming like a fake stuff that wasn’t even viable so I gave up on it then. Now I’m wishing I didn’t.

There is no need over flogging the issue because even if you had bought then, you would have sold because of the difficulty bitcoin would have faced at the time before it became what it is today. A lot of people are having the same regret but it doesn't mean they would have taken a different decision to invest if we had to reverse time. What I see if of essence is moving forward from here into the future.

To be very honest, my heart ached at your story. There was never a time when I could have bought 100 BTCs so basically if you were a smart person then, now you would have at least 450k dollars and after one year, the amount was going to be almost one million dollars. A MILLIONAIRE.

I just learned bitcoin this year! And should I have learned it earlier, then I should have used my younger years for something more beneficial and profitable. That means more savings in my bitcoin wallet and not spending them on clothes and shoes I never worn, bags I seldom used. Time on computer games should have used in healthy forums! Nonetheless, I cannot waste today by regretting from tomorrow. Profit can still be earned in strategically using bitcoin.

You are right. Nobody can be able to buy time and travel to the past. Humans as we are, this power is only reserved in fiction stories and in fantasy movies. The past is past and we only have today leading to the future. Now, with that said, let's not waste time by regretting that we were not able to buy Bitcoin many years ago...as it is pointless and senseless. In other words, we should do it now so as not to be regretting again next year.

Of course all of us wants to buy when bitcoin is just around $200 but this is all our past. Let's just be thankful that we're now in the track.

To tell you honestly, if you keep on dwelling in the past instead on focusing on the present and thinking what should be the future then you can never move on. What else can we do if you are late? yes we do regret sometimes but in that case also it also reminds us to keep moving and not to make decisions that could lead to regrets.

Yep! We are still much better than many who are unaware of bitcoins or even if they are aware, not ready to invest into bitcoins. Bitcoins have just started showing their powers and still they have to go a long way to blossom at peak. So no need to get worried about investing into bitcoins late, still the ball is in our court.

It's never too late to purchase Bitcoin, although, while the price increases, the risk also does. Therefore, it's not as easy to invest now. I really regret spending my Bitcoin without thinking twice back in 2014/5. Found my old wallet which had more than 0.25 BTC exchanged in dollars, made me regret checking that wallet.

Regretting past choices isn't worth it, move on, everyone now wishes they were an early supporter.

Most of the people wish for that but only few people did that and that is because they are open minded for the opportunities and they are always searching for good opportunities so if you want to earn huge amount but you didn't get the chance to buy bitcoin for a lower price then you can still get that chance to earn by working hard in bitcoin and doing all your best to earn bitcoin and keep it for long term.

But i guess the decisions that we made today or in the past are just the next step for our next decisions, its to late to regret it now but you can still invest in bitcoin cause the chance of its growth it limitless right now it's current price has insanely leap to $4000 and even reached 5000 in 2017 but quickly went back to $4000. But the point is bitcoin grown insanely fast in just a year. Bitcoin is really a safe haven for investment the price is stable because of many investors including institutional investors.

This is a trap of emotions, anything is not perfect and I am sure even Satoshi (if alive) might be thinking that he could do much more than what he did so I believe that we shouldn't fall for this 'if, then' trap of emotions because these things are beyond our control. We can just make best use of the resources that we have today and down the road after 5 years, we will feel proud of it. I am having rational approach towards future and building my present based on that approach, that's what we can do. It's impossible to do anything by going back in time and change something.

The truth is ,who ever is able to grab the coins when they are cheap is considered lucky, even in 2016 there was enough opportunities to grab the coin before reaching these kind of evaluation and people who made up their mind to invest during those times have already offloaded some of their investment and made a good profit and that will be the case in the future.

Such thinking can't be productive. There's no way to predict the future. If you believe that analysis of past data provides you with reasonable evidence to support that there's going to be another price rise then go ahead and buy. The risk remains though!

There is always a right time for each and everything. There is no doubt in I that you could have earned a lot of money of you had invested earlier, but you need not to feel regret on what all happened in the past. Instead, work hard and look out for the ways through which you can earn money now.

The regrets of yesterday translate into the lessons of today. Ever wish that you spent your first two years out of school working 90 hours a week or something like that? Think about how you will look back and see this day and time from the future and what regrets you may have about today. Can you change those things? Should you?
Everything has its time and season. Yes I do regret starting up late, cos if I joined early and took this serious, I would have made a lot of money from this. I got in 2015, quit from, came back middle 2016 and things were intensely hot. Now is 2017, there is no need for me to quit cause I believe in the next one or two years.

For those who are regreting they didn't buy some before, better take this dump as an opportunity. Btc value noe falls less than $4k, it can be a goodchance for us to buy more btc and wait for it pumps.

Sometimes life does not really give you what you want. Well, the thing is, maybe at that time, you may not see the future of bitcoin as it is staring in the face now afterall ,some people bought then and couldn't see the future - they sold when it was low, they also would have been happy then because they would have made some additional cash to there investment. Also, some people (somebody I know had 4btc then) then had it but were not meticulous about securing it, either they lost there code and can't retrieve it back -gone and gone.
Consequently, the time is still presenting it self, staring us in the faces are bitcoin and other promising cryptos. Life is like that  :'(

I think you are way too pessimistic. You should not forget this fact that we do predict things in stock exchange market etc on the basis of previous data. Previous data plays significant rule in analyzing the success of product etc and I strongly believe that bitcoins are not risky investment at all and we should make big investments in it.

I think “It is useless to cry over spilt milk”. You are right; you could have earned a lot of profit if you would have bought the Bitcoins back in 2009. If you didn’t buy at that time, even then there is hardly any benefit of regretting on it. You need to be positive about the future. You can still a lot of profit from it.

You shouldn’t start regretting yet my friend! You should regret in few years time if you did not partake in today's value and you allow yourself to start dragging bitcoin's price with newbie then at its value. I have learnt in my life not to regret anything as long as I cannot make any changes to it. The most important thing is what am I doing now, to make sure that I don't make that mistake again ?

Even if I fail, at least it is better to make an attempt than not making at all. With this one however, I sure know I ain't going to fail.

So back to the account offered to me, I did not bought it. I find it expensive but I was wrong. I have so much regret about it. How I wish to go back in that time and I will buy that account. Now one account cost 0.03 and above. A big differences. But it is much expensive now. I may be rich by now if I started bitcoin  that time right? Regret is always in the end, but it is not the end. Anyway, I think you are rich by now, congrats to you. Hope to see myself rich like you and other bitcoiners in the future.

I don't even know that we can buy bitcoin by that time or even buy an account, I don't even know that there are any other currencies existing. I am happy for you that you buy on that time. It only means that you're already rich now. Am I right? And you are thinking about the incoming year 2020, do you think bitcoin price by that will reach 10000$?

I am sure in 2020 some people would have wished they at least got involved in even in 2019 ;D … The fact is that at this stage, one may think one is too late same as the way OP thought in 2013 but most people will be so surprised what the next few years is going to hold for bitcoin. As far as I am concerned, every little money I get, certain percentage will always go into bitcoin cause I surely do not want to be hustling so hard all my life. Everyone wants a good life isn't it? So, if an opportunity opens way, why not dive in?

Each year gives us something that turns out successful in coming years. So don't pity yourself what you hadn't done in the past, learn from it and recognize patterns today for future success (if that is even possible).

Will it be hard? Of course, 95% of people will failed doing that (or even more). Why? Many are just followers and copycats, picking crumbs left behind others.

Even if I had known about bitcoin in 2013, I am not sure I would have even  adopt it because I don't think there is a means to do that in my own case. In 2013,  the cost of internet enabled phone is surely beyond my reach and several other adults at the time and even the ones available don't have the capacity to handle the sophistication of apps these days. I really didn't fell any regret but where I would have is if I then not adopt in 2017 with all the limitations gone.

In 2010 Bitcoin was completely off the radar, people here like to dream how rich would they be if they bought it in early days, but most people haven't even heard about it, because to know about Bitcoin you had to be part of very specific communities, like cypherpunks and cryptoanarchists - usually it's the people with strong interests in cryptography and freedom. They were the first who recognized Bitcoins long term potential and decided to hodl it for years, while others sold their coins when they got quick returns as they feared that Bitcoin is a bubble. So, its very unlikely that todays average Bitcoin user would become involved in it if they were told back in 2009-2010, hence there nothing to regret.

There is nothing to regret, if you have not bought bitcoins back then still the ball is in your court. You can buy more and more bitcoins now because still many people are unaware of digital currencies. Bitcoins are still to flourish at least for the next decade and we are soon going to be rich.

Lol I could not agree more. Bitcoin is still new, and 2017 adopters are still relatively early adopters. Its value does not seem like it will plateau anytime soon, and we're still in the minority who actually owns Bitcoins. Let's see how far this takes us.

Well, the opportunity to get rich through Bitcoin still alive, but you have to remember, today the price of Bitcoin higher than the price of Bitcoin of the past a lot. If you want to make the best profits from Bitcoin in a short time, it is impossible. Do not let others make you hurry, trade and enjoy your profits every day, it better than make fast profits and loss all your funds.

Exactly, this year is still a good year for early adopters because the price may go up again in 2020 and just like what OP think before for not an early adopter on 2009 or not buying while it was first launched. But seeing the progress of bitcoin on 2017, he's now thankful that he was able to buy some bitcoins on 2013 which is relatively going to happen again for those new comers that are feeling the same today.

For now the best thing to do is accumulate bitcoin but somehow really hard considering to its recent price compared into those earliest years which is really very very cheap.

thats why as early you buy bitcoins as more profit you make. People who bought a lot of Bitcoins in 2009 and 2010 and holding it until now in their wallets, they are already wealthy and very rich with their savings of BTC.
Buying now is also profitable, if you look for a long term holding.
