Bitcoin.org already removed the wallet from the site and you can see more on GitHub[1][2].

But I do agree that the requirements for wallets should be clarified. I can't tell if this is an intentional move by Bitpay (though current evidence suggest that is is) and any wallet ought to be more careful before "going rogue" like this, particularly since the "choose your wallet" listing is aimed at complete newbies. I foresee more wallets being subject to scrutiny.
