I am in contact with baikalminer for a group buy on Giant+.
Please let me know if there are people who are interested in with how many items they are going to buy.
Price at this stage unkown. I guess depending on how many items they can sell.

I have gotten reply from Baikal 1 miner for 3000 and 10 miner for 2550 .. thats what the quote is

We had a similar thread a while ago. Back then there was very little interest in prices around $2300.

With current profitablilities, I belive the Giant+ should sell for around $1000, but I know Baikal likely won't go that low...

Baikal is a horrible company.

not even 1k, under current conditions more like 500 USD at most. if compared against Bitmain's prices then around 200 USD.

Well, you still have X13, X15, Qubit and Quark with Baikal, which you don't have with Bitmain. For me this would justify a $1000 price tag, as I would mine smaller coins and hope they blow up.

But yeah, if you are talking about safe(-ish) ROI, even $1000 is too much...

I think 1000$ is more or less acceptable. I highly doubt they will ever sell them that low tho :(

Yeah, that's what I don't understand. They tried selling them for 7k, didn't sell enough. They waited too long before dropping to 4k, then waited too long before dropping to 3k etc.

They could sell some for 1k now, or wait too long again until even 1k will be too high and no one will buy them...

Ya, they're trying to get the most money for their miners. But theyre one of the worst company i've delt with, and they will probably die with their miners

I'd buy a couple if they are around $1k each, and we knew when they were shipping, and what escrow options we have with you.

I know thats what I told them. I told them that they are missing the chance to get rid of their Baikals. Otherwise they are just going to sit on those for a long long time

Yup a couple for me at 1000$.

I already have one baikal giant+, and are interested in buying another one or two...
of course, if the price would be acceptable under current situation...most profitable algo of this miner is still Dash, which will be flooeded with 15g, 30g, 17g, 22g moster miners...
i would accept $1,000 to $1,500 ::)

I was in contact with baikal in the last days negotiating the price according to your suggestions.
Unfortunately we couldn't agree on a reasonable price which fits to your expectations.

Therefore I see my attempt as failed. Appologies for that.

Yes if someone is in contact with them, ask for the price of 1 single unit? I have just write but i am interested in how they do their price quotations.

I can't tell you. But I can tell you that 1500$ (my offer) was not acceptable for them. They didn't came up with a proposal.

they won't accept anything under $2600 each. I don't know why they're playing hard ball on this one. Even when I said I have a group buy ready for 10 up to 20 units, the price stays the same.

We have another thread group buy running, if we get all command we can reach 40-50 i think.
But baikal have to change there position about price, cause no one gonna buy this for 2k6 group buy or not ...

Yep! They're gonna go out of business if they don't adapt.

That's just crazy. I wouldn't even consider $1.6k, but $2.6k is so far beyond reasonable, I can't imagine them selling any at that price.

And every day they keep their stock it loses more value. Ah well...

Nope it's not a loss of value for them. I can assure you that each and every miner they have is mining for long time at least enough to cover there cost. it's just more profit in mining for them until the point these miners will be expensive to mine.

Yeah, that makes sense. But still, it seems very unlikely that whatever they are mining with the Giant+ at the moment will return $2600 before profitability goes down, so not selling at a lower price still seems like a loss to me...  :D

First of all consider that they don't get these miners for 2600 USD , I can bet their manufacturing cost must be lot more less.
Secobdly, they must be using these miners for a long time may since this April or May. So these kittens must already given them about 5x profit already.

I totally agree with you, baikal is not out of money. They use ASIC they produce like bitmain but with less invest and infra.
But they have to sell some to ... Just be patient soon or later they will sell it for 1k ...

Yes i am hoping for the same. Lower the price fastest they can reach ROI.

I asked them for price and they offer me 2800$ if I take 2 unit.
