Hi there, who sould I contact to recover my original account here? When trying to log in it says that I'm banned because of a hack that got all user's passwords and it says I should email some email. Last time I logged in I think was about 3 years ago. I've tried the contact email twice to no avail. Help!! I can provide any kind of proof that you need.

You should contact Theymos, or Cyrus... It would be nice if you let us know which account we are talking about here...

My old account is from 2012 and I only used it to post a few times. The account in question is '00b3'. Even if the account is from 2012 I'm actually a noob, so I don't really know how to contact anyone to help me with this ???

Is this your account - 00b3 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=55885) ? It is a newbie account... Just a suggestion, why not create a new one than retrieving that old account? It will take you a week or more than that, and that is if they grant your request... Which is why it is more practical to just forget it...

Oh a mod turned up. Great customer service.

Thanks for the replies, I have contacted Theymos and I'm expecting a reply. I would like to recover my original account very much mainly for historical reasons and for its age. I would love now to start being more active in the community, however I would like to do so from my original account. I really really hope someone can help me out. I know it's a newbie account, but it's important for me for several reasons.

I see in the security log my password was changed at July 25, 2017, 06:10:10 AM. I not changed it.

I'm waiting now for the answer. I never modified my email address, and bitcointalk dont send the recovery email.

I think Cyres and Theymos are very engaged at the moment. But I hope so they will answer you and me.
I hope they will recover my account, a show at security log passord was changed, but it was hacked. and many other account was hacked in bitcointalk..
