ICO = initial coin offering. This is when a coin is first offered to general public.
Bounty is a reward. Can be for reporting a bug, translating a the site of a coin or helping with marketing. Stuff like that.

Two quick web searches and you would have found the following helpful sources. About ICO (Initial Coin Offering) you find this Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initial_coin_offering).

Bounties are rewards for tasks like doing captchas, doing programming jobs or just wearing a signature of a project (most projects which hold an ICO) while you post. You can also get rewards for spreading the word of something on social media like Twitter or Facebook. There is a wide range of bounty types here on Bitcointalk. Here is an external source for bounties https://www.bitcoindetector.com/bitcoin-bounties/

Think of a bounty as a token of appreciation for your help or service performed, in this case you helping advertise Authorship and your reward will be $10 after ICO ends.

You can compare it to an Initial Public Offering, or IPO, with a company’s stock. This is when investors can first publicly purchase shares of stock. An ICO is similar where it’s the first public offering to purchase coins for their blockchain project. Check out this blog post if you want some more detail on how they work, and how to get involved in one:

Hope this helps!

Bounty Campaign- There are many types of bounty here in forum.
 -Signature Campaign
 -Social Media Campaign
 -Translation Campaign
 -Blog, Articles
 -Youtube Campaign
 -Telegram Campaign
In this campaigns you can earn some coins by promoting their project (example: Like and share their post on facebook everyday).

ICO = initial coin offering. This is when a coin is first offered to general public.
This is right, you can earn bigger on ICO's but with higher risk because you need to invest some money in joining an ICO but it is more profitable than bounties because they offer their coins at lower price before its released to the market.

ICO is the process of seeking funds or investors through cryptocurrency method, anyone interested in an ICO project can take part in purchasing tokens that can later be sold on the exchange. For Bounty itself is a method of disseminating information that is taken by the ICO project team, so that their project can be widely known in the community and the people who follow Bounty get paid from their work.

In addition, Bounty is a payment or reward often offered by a group, as a positive motivation influence for the accomplishment of a task.
An initial coin offering, also commonly referred to as ico,  is a fundraising mechanism, that is if a company or someone offers investors some new cryptocurrency in exchange against crytocurrencies like ethereum and bitcoin.

ICO is an abbreviation for initial coin offering. When a new coin launches, it gives away a part of their coins to people, to outsource the help with the launch such as marketing, translation, etc. People who do this are called bounty hunters since they receive a bounty (tokens) for the work done.

Join bounty campaigns and contribute to the forum do what is needed to do and in the end of the campaign they will give you reward and I think this is the easiest way to earn tokens without your money involve.

an ICO stands for initial coin offering so it means it is the first time the coin is available to be sold to the public, and a bounty campaign is when they reward you with coins so that is the difference between those two.

an ICO stands for initial coin offering so it means it is the first time the coin is available to be sold to the public
Which could be amazing great and worth to invest in 0,01% cases and in 99,99% cases its a scam, selling for huge money smth that was copy pasted from bitcoin itself and its worthless
big promisses, big words, nothing to deliver after ICO
dont fall for it

there is a reason google banning ico ads, its not google not liking crypto, they got hammered with ico scam ads reports they had to react

Well, I will try to explain it as simple as possible below.

ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is a phase of new token being introduced to public to open for investments. Bounty is campaign held by ICO publisher to attracts more investors. You (bounty hunter) must meet specified requirements of ICO publisher in order to earn their tokens.

ICO is initial coin offering for a new project or cryptocurrency. Its like an advertisement asking for help to promote the project. lets say, one campaign requires 100k ETH to promote the project, that amount is the initial coin offer or ICO. while bounty is the reward you have receive in joining in the project given by ICO.

ICO is a fundraising mechanism in which new projects sell their underlying crypto tokens. Bounty is a payment or reward offered by a startup of crypto token as an incentive for the accomplishment of a task by bounty hunter.

ICO means Initial Coin Offering. This is a way by which the coin or token is offered to the public in general to purchase in order for the developer or team to raise funds to develop the project. Bounty is what is paid for task carried out by people in order to promote the project.

ICO, or Initial Coin Offering (initial placement of tokens) is the issue of coupons, or
tokens, intended for payment for the services of the site in the future  — in the form of
cryptocurrency by any project.
Thus, in contrast to IPOs, buyers of the currency do not receive a share in the company
and can not affect the internal managerial decisions. In fact, the ICO is another
implementation of the crowdfu nding model, when participants finance the development
of the company  in order to get some benefits from it in future.

Bounty is like a reward given to people who help to promote the coin and its project. ICO means Initial Coin Offering.i.e the coin offered to people who first buy them and its usually at a cheaper price than when its on exchange

Hmmm, very interesting to see everybody's definition of ICO's and Bounties. Thought I would add my definition of both as well:

Initial Coin Offerings is just another form of raising investment capital to start or scale a new business model that uses cryptocurrency, decentralization or blockchain. Usually coins are given at a huge discount at the start of an ICO to incentivize investors to invest. For those who know what initial public offerings, its very similar to those - except ICOs usually don't give ownership to token holders.

Bounties are crowd-sourced marketing efforts that involve a series of people to do a certain set of tasks. ICO's dedicate at least 1% of the total amount of tokens they are selling to "reward" people who help them achieve tasks.
