Title: Bitcoin & twitter
Post by: soy on August 26, 2017, 02:47:17 PM
Hi all,

I dont know if a similar discussion exist, bu I didn't find it.

My question is simple, what is/are your favorite twitter account ?

Everyday, new accounts are created and I have the bad reflex to follow all of them, because I'm affraid to miss information and quality isn't always present...

Is there any account that never disappointed you ?

Thanks.

I don't like the tweeter. I think that is bereft of a primitive social network of the past. I like Facebook. To promote bitcoin need on specialized websites, but the tweeter is very possible to exchange only short messages. This is not enough.

Are you talking about the twitter accounts of many developers and some people who are connected to bitcoin making a interesting and funny posts about it? Well I followed some because they are fun reading sometimes. I think I just follow someone that is connected really to bitcoin but the other people I ignore because some of them are just making a scheme to bitcoin.

I agree with you, 140 characters is not enough to developpe an idea. But twitter allows you to be on of the first to learn any news... It can be very quickly... Can you give me the name of the facebooks page you like ?

Your question is too general. What information do you need and what do you want to follow or stay updated with. Is it bitcoin price that you want to follow or is it good investment opportunities you looking for.  :D

If you want to see in general then follow bitcoin, blockchain, and coin telegraph. I'm sure you will get lots of notification time to time. These accounts are very very general so I guess they are the one you need.

if we talk about twiter.
this is a social media where many people love it including me.
a lot of important news there and sometimes not important at all.
And bitcoin joined in twitter instead.

And I think it depends on how you behave, similar to the people you follow
Sometimes they provide important and sometimes unimportant information. I think human nature, if you feel uncomfortable with it you should not follow and there can be unfollow it.

I am not a hardcore follower of any twitter account but yes I use twitter hashtag page to stay up to date with real time news about any particular topic.

Since twitter is considered the best platform for getting real-time updates, I use it very often and follow valuable accounts which I find interesting and worth to follow but not all the accounts can give you real time information but the chances of real-time updates are far more for hashtag pages.

Example: Bitcoin = https://twitter.com/hashtag/bitcoin?f=tweets&vertical=news (https://twitter.com/hashtag/bitcoin?f=tweets&vertical=news).

I always skip on twitter, with so few accounts having actually have value and provide worthwhile information that I can actually use, along with managing to make really shitty business practices from an online communications service, I simply have no need to use twitter. Even a lot of the BTC speculation accounts aren't beneficial unless I missed a market movement, which I usually don't care about if I'm hearing about it on twitter first.

Use other news sources. Far more beneficial and interesting than something as restrictive as twatter.

I dont ask if I need to use twitter or not, I ask which account follow.

I use other news sources too, not only twitter. There is good and bad in twitter, I agree and Im just looking for what is good...

Emm, you've found a weird solution of your problem. I've noticed that usually sobscribing more ppl leads just to spamming your account. My advise is to find someone with a big number of daily unique  posts. But it won't help if you are uing followback services.

I agree with you, I think twitter is also too stingy in letters. We can not promote a thing with only 140 characters. I also prefer facebook, I think they are easier to use.

I believe that Twitter plays an important role in the growth of bitcoin. Also the twitter campaigns provide the users with an earning for what they wish to express regarding certain projects or speculating about the digital currency that have been used around.

If a twitter user is bitcoin oriented or crypto oriented then I would follow them. The advantage with twitter is it can be used as an advertisement platform for cryptos and discussions about cryptos but sad to say tweets are limited to 100+ characters, but we can post image so it can be alternate for posts.

Twitter is great platform to share, read and learn about bitcoin. In past one year I have seen many ICO catching big masses using Twitter. Along with that I was able to learn about bitcoin and recents FUDs, news, rumors along with criticism and views of experts. Try searching #bitcoin on Twitter and follow all recommended accounts.

Twitter isn't really the place to get bitcoin news.

Reddit or STEEM are the places you should be concentrating on for more quality info.

Exactly, In my opinion also same. Twitter is not a good platform for news and knowledge about bitcoin. And with only 140 letter it is always tough to describe anything. So reddit and STEEM are better than twitter.

This is an off topic related thread with the btc name. Kindly ignore it.

Twitter has been a very good platform that I have seen to have propagated the gospel of crypto currency beyond measures but the problem is that the more your followers the more the tweets and the more the information overload you get to face in which if you want a particular information, you get to stress yourself more by going deep in clicking in other to get more information maybe they can do something to choose favorite follower to always have their tweets constant

Steemit is good social network which works on blockchain.
Of course content there is very different, but there are professional people from cryptocurrency area - you can follow them

And I agree that about Bitcoins may be there is nothing better than this forum. The problem is that there are so many topics that new users can be lost

Following bitcoin devs and some prominent people in the space might be beneficial. Moreover, you'll see their arguments and drama and all of that. Sometimes it is insightful, funny and sometimes pretty stupid to be honest. You may want to follow some traders too and be shilled at your own risk.

I can say that many developers create a new medium which is twitter to spread the information about cryptocurrency. We can see that the twitter campaign is existed because the twitter serves us the promotion of the coins.

There is surely a benefit in following some bitcoin developers for some insights about what they will do or if there's another Hard Fork that may occur, well yes there might be some drama's that are involve But that is how bitcoin cope up with things,

And some bounty campaign in the forum might have a twitter campaign that would need tremendous amount of followers you should try it, and I think a good follower would surely tweet back some updated about things involve with bitcoin.

As far as I know, twitter can help you stay up to date. You don't have to follow all bitcoin accounts to get the latest news, just few of them that you know can give you legit news is OK. Most of the well known news and article publishing websites all have a twitter account which automatically drop their feeds directly on their twitter account. Once you see a news that interests you, visit the link to read more. Some of these sites are coindesk,  cointelegraph, hmcryptogear, bitcoinnews and so on. Just find the ones that works best for you and when you see one is not up to your taste, that is the reason for the unfollow button.

Since twitter has character limits in all your tweets, it's really not convenient to just focus in it alone. You can't get all the information you want and you have to have but only short notices about a certain topic. So I'd say it is still better to follow accounts in bitcointalk.org alone or both this forum and twitter.

advertise on twitter where many investors are more focused and you can call for more capital than it

Who said so? Twitter isn't a small place like this forum, it has millions of users and tons of data. No doubt, ICO campaigns have huge buzz on Twitter but still one can easily read, find, acquire and gather relevant news and info from crypto niche. Even if I search #bitcoin on Twitter, 80% of the results are relevant, only 20% includes sponsored materials, etc.
Best way to connect with real Crypto niche on Twitter is by following real and prominent Bitcoin related personalities and businesses; and your Home will have ton of interesting news.

Twitter is one who helps a lot in a project of ICO campaign to become successful. A twitter is a social network that you can express your feeling, making blogs,or endorse your product to the people to buy  your item.bitcoin and twitter is mutual each other in digital currency in the process of endorsing the product.

Bitcoin and Altoin are strongly associated with the social media era including one of them is twitter, it can be used as a media promotion of their coin sales or programs related to bitcoin and altcoin transactions.

As far as I know, twitter can help you stay up to date. You don't have to follow all bitcoin accounts to get the latest news, just few of them that you know can give you legit news is OK.

I don't like the tweeter. I think that is bereft of a primitive social network of the past. I like Facebook. To promote bitcoin need on specialized websites, but the tweeter is very possible to exchange only short messages. This is not enough.

I agree with you, 140 characters is not enough to developpe an idea. But twitter allows you to be on of the first to learn any news... It can be very quickly... Can you give me the name of the facebooks page you like ?
like twitter name, if you tweet about something with your mouth, it not long and made simple. but if you tweet for long word its like gossip

in my opinion ... bitcoin is a corporate body that can connect via the internet network that can also be available in social networks such as faceebook, twiter, youtube so this is where the investment can work for bitcoin .bitcoin and twiter have a close relationship to carry out the transaction.

I am a bit confused. dO YOU wish to talk about the accounts of verified bitcoin developers or people who are directly involved in it? Or how accounta advertise bitcoin in the world of twitter? I for one think that whatever platform we use if we can let people know anout bitcoin then it is a big help

The advantage with twitter is it can be used as an advertisement platform for cryptos and discussions about cryptos. But twitter is not the only way to get news quickly, as for me, I prefer facebook than twitter. but I use both

I think im really fun of doing somestuffs in posting in social media but im not a fun of using tweeter beacause i use to start using tweeter this year only when i start joining bitcoin and its really hard to for me to follow things in it and thats why I join facebook only in taking news about bitcoin it is really easy to me to recognize all kinds of features in that social media online.

The difference between bitcoin and twitter is that you can work on twitter and bitcoin requires you to follow the rules and also have knowledge of bitcoin.
Thanks

Hi, I suggest you try to follow CryptoYoda. Since I have started following him on twitter, he has given me much knowledge and information. Plus the fact that at least 90% of his analysis and explanation regarding the market is accurate.
