But, have you seen the hashrate drop since august 25 (in the Ethereum mining) ?
Is there an increase beacause a new farm is on, or because a new gap is permitted with the hardware (and not AMD RX or VEGA : they are out for Ethereum) ?

Encrypted no, signed yes. While you could still force Windows to load unsigned drivers that's a bad idea - especially since this "offer" smells like scam from a mile away.

This guy has only two videos on youtube. If it was real, everybody would be aware.

If my 1070's did 58 vs 29 mh  why would I sell the drivers?

I would not plain and simple.  I would mine and make money that way.

An OTS 1080ti with a +600 mem overclock can touch 38.

1) If such a patch existed, you would think it would have to apply across most of the product line. So why not patch 1080 ti's instead?

2) The buyer has no idea whether some sort of insane overclock is required and therefore what kind of cooling is required. I'm not sure how useful the "Arctic Circle"  variant of any card would be. A further question at this performance level is, what part of the card is getting stressed the most?


A lot of technical issues need to be addressed before even thinking of buying such a mod purchase.

Think what you want kid. However, i can tell you suck at making decisions since you GUARANTEE which is highly assertive.

A GTX 1070 is close to its theoretical limit when mining at 30-32 MH/s with tdp at 100%, sure it sounds viable someone would find a way to push it to 35 or even 40 but not by only messing with the driver and not touching the mining software.

If not a scam, perhaps try to hand out even a single copy of the driver to a reputable forum member for review?

This is scam, it it not hard to change output of terminal dos in this case...

If that hashrate was possible it would not come from the drivers. It would come from

1. A bios mod for the 1070 memory to optimize timings like in AMDs case. If nvidia actually gave this possibility to us we just might be able to hit around 36 MHs with a 1070.
2. An optimized miner software written by a smarter team than the ones we all currently know :D

Everything else is unrealistic.

It has been over 24 hours since I paid the guy (Michael) 1.1 ETH. We were in back and forth conversation, but once I paid I have heard nothing from him. Was supposed to receive the driver within 30 minutes after payment. I'm going to give it officially until Monday (maybe he took the weekend off) until I call it for what it seems to be.

It is officially a SCAM everyone. I had a friend reach out and now the price is 1.2 ETH. The guy just gets you to send him money and then never responds again. Hopefully I will be his last victim.

I mainly wanted to see what would become of it and officially put it to bed for anyone else that may have come across that video/post. Most of the things I read were about I don't "think" it is possible. I appreciate your post #36 and it makes total sense but I had already purchased it from him by that time. By going through the scam dance with him I now have actual email correspondence to give to YouTube to get those videos removed. I figured it was a SCAM. Why are you guys even mining ETH on nvidia cards? ZEC is like 20% more profitable on its worst day.

 Depends on the specific card.

 GTX 1060, it's been pretty close and often ETH IS more profitable.

 GTX 1070, usually fairly close though ZEC is usually a LITTLE more profitable.

 GTX 1080 and 1080 ti, no competition ZEC wins hands down as those cards are not real good at ETH due to the GDDR5X memory latency issues.

 GTX 1070 ti is a question mark at this point, depends on if the cores are actually usable for ETH or if it's memory limited, but I suspect it will be better on ZEC as well.

GTX 1080 ti can mine ETH - it's just not a sensible or economical option to do so, as it is nearly matched on hashrate by MUCH MUCH less expen$ive cards with similar or superior hash/watt.

It's a compiled driver binary. I installed it and it doesn't seem to increase performance on 1070 nor 1060. Just seems like the standard NVIDIA driver, with god knows what baked into the binary.

I agree mostly with 1080 but 1060 is way better on eth rather than zen or zec i have few and they aren't really good with equihash algo.

nvidia does not have open source drivers so it could not possible. Its scam.

I thought this is true i was searching for moded bios for nvidia in youtube but i found that video since AMD graphics card can modify the bios i just search and found video in youtube that i thought its real..
Looks like only AMD has this option to modify the bios and improve the hashing power..

It would be funny if we did not see how cast-xmr increased Vega's hashrate twice. That is, sometimes software solutions can dramatically increase the speed on the same hardware.
But if somebody really make this, he can simply build dev. fee in miner and put it to open access.
10,000 downloaded miners with 1% dev.fee will give him a good income for good work.

If it was real, it would of been confirmed and everyone would be using it.
