Title: Traade/Traade.co Possible scam
Post by: DiamondCardz on May 22, 2013, 04:32:24 PM
Let's start with the facts: The website is Traade.co

It claims to give you BTC for your smartphones, and it also has a nice website. However, it might be a scam, due to the "giveaway" used to advertise it. There have also been NO verifiable evidence of any payments, but people have reportedly "traded in" phones and then "received money".

An IP check might reveal more.

The most controversial part is the give-away. "smashing-bitcoins" apparently won it.

But let's look at the Bitcoin address...

Oh. No "1 BTC" was ever put on it. The .9 BTC was way before the giveaway ended, too.

Never used after the "giveaway"...a dummy account, possibly?

Again, we need IP checks.

My point is, Traade is a possible scam at the moment. Considering this sketchy giveaway, we need more information before we can either confirm Traade is legit or whether Traade needs a scammer tag. But at the moment, it's not smart to use it.

This is a warning for now. Going to leave this up here until more info comes up.

No, there hasn't been any outcome from it yet, it still seems like a shady business.
