Title: Future of Bitcoin Cash?
Post by: NeonFlash on August 29, 2017, 09:22:02 AM
Hi All,

So, Bitcoin Cash price has fallen down after going as high as 1000 USD. What do you think is the future of Bitcoin Cash?

The Segwit activation in the Bitcoin Network went through successfully. I am not sure about the actual improvements in the Bitcoin Network with respect to Number of Transactions/second or the Transaction Fee after Segwit activation however do you think Bitcoin Cash is here to stay with its 8 MB block size?

Also, there are speculations that Bitcoin Cash might be centralized and most of the mining power is controlled by only few nodes.

And I read that miners are switching back and forth between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash since in some cases the Bitcoin Cash network difficulty is lower and more profitable to mine.

What are some of the major events in the pipeline for Bitcoin Cash?

I think Bitcoin cash has a lot of potential and it is usually regarded as the biggest competitor of Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin cash will surely cross the 1500$ mark by next year. It will show amazing growth in future.

It is difficult to predict future of bitcoin cash for now by looking at short term price fluctuations or people's thoughts about bch. I think it will always live under the shade of bitcoin.

It will always stay behind bitcoin's successful past. There is no chance of any other altcoins to surpass bitcoin's reputation. So bch will be another alt which is okay.

So, looks like we all agree that BCH is here to stay? What about price predictions? Is it overvalued at present?

THis one is hugely manipulated by 2 of the biggest whales in the crypto industry. So yes, it will definately pump.

Bitcoincash is definitely here to stay. But what happens next depends on whether people actually use it and if the price rises. If both happen, it'll decentralise as more miners come in, and if it starts to handle a large volume of transactions, then some of the large merchants might start using it too. It's early days yet.

yeap. bitcoin cash is going down means
it is so hard to read the future of BCH this day ,
i thought it will pump and go 1500$ at the end of the year
but it disappoints me because it just went down this days.
...
and i may say you can say BCH  is just go rubber band style because
it breaks when it got its limit

if the support will show bigger than what it should be we can say that it will stay and will bring more attentions but if this project will not gain support
the hype will start to fall and for sure the value will be depend if big holders will keep it alive or dumped it too and begin to move to other project that
have enough profitability.

Bitcoin cash after falling down I think still has potential to grow in the next coming years. IMO it will continue to stay and have a price just like that since it is a bitcoin clone and is like ETC for ETH. It will have a price but it will not match bitcoin's price and it will also not match bitcoin's daily volume of transactions. For now I think it is good to invest on bitcoin cash once in a while after it had settled down to a price for long time.

Bch will likely just muddle along. People tend to forget that bitcoin has experienced many hardforks, and the forked coin usually had a short-lived existence. Don't expect any different for Bch

Why you are looking at the current price of the bitcoin cash because here everyone want to make better amount of the earnings and perfect timing to make investment .
Here you are talking about the attractions that the miners can get by making double profit by mining but you are not looking toward the technology , here bitcoin cash will not remain a new coin but also here the team of the bitcoin will make something new thing with this coin which will be more better then what we have with the bitcoin .
In the starting of the year 2008 the price of the bitcoin was useless but see what is the condition now .
So instead to think the bitcoin cash became constant and is below at the basic price ( 0.2btc/bch) at the timing of launching .
Here we have a better opportunity to buy the bch coin because price is low at about 0.13btc/bch .
And also here you can see the what new experiment in bitcoin cash we have , the big problem in the bitcoin network is confirmation of the transaction with low fee , and this problem is solved by the bitcoin cash because transaction speed is really high and also we don't need to oay much fees for this coin .
I hope we will help bitcoin and bitcoin cash like a two king of this cryptocurrency field .

Could not agree more! I guess this will be elementary to keep transactions costs low and I am gladly seeing this got achieved with Bitcoin Cash. And I also agree, that this is not necessarily hurting bitcoin. I could even imaging seeing bitcoin as a kind of gold and not necessarily a coin which gets used for micro payments and x transactions. But we will see, how it will be sorted. There is still a lot of time to monitor the development of both coins.

I think people still tend to choose btc rather than bch and we see demand in btc volume market remains large.
In the future bch will probably be like regular altcoin.

I was gonna say the same thing. These are just splits or copied coins. For instance, bitcoin cash, what do you expect from it? Nothing. It doesn't even provide a feature. Was created so that one group of people would get rich. That's all.

BCC will not die, but it will suffer from heavy speculation.

Top 10 Coins normally dont die but I dont think it will get much attention in the future. Just another Altcoin without any usage except speculation.

BTC goverened itself into the alt-coin.   It just isn't apparent yet to those who don't see.   There was a crypto coup right in front of our noses.   The beautiful BTC was hijacked.   People got paid and battle lines were drawn.   I've been around quite some time.   BTC was never supposed to go to off chain solutions.  The banksters and corporate money-men got a hold of BTC and control it now.   Segwit2x is the nail in the coffin.  Bitcoin Cash is now the defacto REAL bitcoin.  It is the ETH, and BTC is the ETC.

Bitcoin Cash is the new hope --- the rebellion --- the TRUE bitcoin.

It is only a matter of time before the market proves this out.  Did you see how many miners are setup to mine it when they so choose?  BTC came to a crawl and was crippled to snail pace transactions when the miners chase bitcoin cash.   For now, the price of Bitcoin Cash is best bargain in the top 10.   It could fall to 450, or 400, or even 350 in the immediate near term.  As we saw a couple of weeks ago, when this pops it pops.  Those in BTC may lose 90%+ if it indeed is proven to be inferior and controlled of off-chain "solutions".   It will flip and the 4.5k coin with be Bitcoin Cash and the legacy chain will become slowly irrelevant.  Bitcoin Cash isn't just a hard fork.  It is the real bitcoin -- and superior to the legacy chain now that it has been taken over and the original vision violated.

Satoshi didn't give us BTC to put control of the chain in the hands of Segwit and those who control Segwit.

Some might consider it as bitcoin competitor, but I don't think it will surpass bitcoin. It's hard to conclude that bitcoin cash has already been completely dumped just by looking at it in just short-time scale. A lot of altcoins and even bitcoin even experience fall and sometimes recover. It's better to wait and see if it will still recover, bitcoin cash also has a potential same as bitcoin.

Dont think it will be like that, at the end its just another altcoin on market no matter now he is or what he will offers to us.
Altcoin simple as is dont stand a change against bitcoin, they can come close but still this will not change the fact that bitcoin is prime and will remain prime.
BCC will just be active until this year end dont believe that things will change after that.

Of course it has a feature! It has 8mg blocks, which can take about 37,000 transactions at a time. Basically the feature is that the mempool doesn't build up on bitcoincash.

Are you serious?

I think you're misunderstanding the concept of a fork.

As for BCH, I concluded for myself that it is in theory the better coin, at least, technically. Unlike BTC, it can function with low fees even when the hashing power gets lower, as where with BTC you end up paying enormous fees or have to wait hours for your transaction to pass. Segwit did not change much in this regard.

Everyone has such a blind faith in BTC I find it unreal. Just because every altcoin gets mostly traded with BTC doesn't mean BTC will stay on top forever. What goes up goes down at some point and I guarantee you BTC will crash hard at some point.

But hey, everyone is free to do what he wants with his money. I just wouldn't bet it all on BTC.

BCH just lacks the real world usage for now. We'll see what happens once it gets offered as a payment method on the big market places out there (if ever).

I'd buy a bit of BCH on the side now if I had some funds available.

Pump/dump is just part of the crypto world. It hasn't really been pumped more than once.

Keep in mind BCH is only a month old. It will likely continue to fall for some time. But once market places start accepting it, that's where the fun will begin.

Then again, I might be wrong. But I don't see why it wouldn't happen. BCH has been created for a reason, and the fact that people are still talking about it now proves that it nudges the interest of the average Joe.

Just read up on BCH and make yourself an opinion funded on other things that the BTC-nazi fud and hype that keep trying to trash the coin :)

if to mimic bitcoin is still possible, but if the most effective altcoin problem I prefer to use ETH (ethereum).
Probably the reason is because eth is more commonly used big ico project projects to make their ico become successful, and if this is my personal opinion "ETH is without limit". ;D

The best way to evaluate BCC is to see the next closest thing, ethereum classic. While ETC didn't do anything to assist ethereum, it's none the-less a clone of the ethereum, and could possibly help some of you guys to evaluate the future of BCC.

Alternatively, BCC has advancements, and has a much bigger audience, due to Bitcoin.

THis one is hugely manipulated by 2 of the biggest whales in the crypto industry. So yes, it will definately pump.

This guy knows what's up.  There is still an absurd amount of hashpower being pointed at BCH, more than makes any sense given its current profitability rating versus the real BTC.  The majority of blocks (nearly 75%) are being found by an "unknown miner" not attached to any known BCH pools, so they're hiding who they are on purpose, either through a private pool or solo-mining with a tremendous amount of hashpower.

There's no reason anyone with enough hashpower to earn $100k/day in BTC would put their rigs towards something that would earn them 25% less than that.  Unless they know something we don't.

It's happened once already since the fork occurred, originally profitability on BCH was about 50% of BTC, yet the "unknown miner" was still chomping away earning nearly all the blocks.  Two weeks later, the price more than doubles and trading volume is through the roof, allowing him to sell the coins he hoarded at 50% loss for an amount that would result in a tidy profit.

It will pump again.  Whether it dies after this one is anyone's guess.  But it will likely die eventually.

BCH not solve the scalablement issue.

Big blocks allows more tx per block, but each block is more hard to process to all the network, this increment the orphaned blocks probability.

with the pass of time the demand of unconfirmed tx go to rise, and this go to require biggest blocks

in other words BCH only offers a short term solution, but to high price.

I think that if Bitcoin Cash wakes up, its price will drop significantly. Or, at any rate, he will not show much growth. However, of course, it will be interesting in the future to observe its movement. From the very beginning, some experts claim that the Bitcoin Cash rate is significantly overestimated and that it is supported by a negligible number of mines, no more than ten percent.

I also don't think bitcoin cash has much of a future. It has not solved the issues that have plagued bitcoin core, and the market has remained very skeptical of it. Bitcoin core is currently making the adjustments needed, though slowly, to scale.

Based on what you say, investors are hesitant between selecting BCH and BTC but for miners they will choose BCH because the cost of excavating BCH is cheaper than BTC and it is also more profitable.
So what makes the BCH still can not excel? Although BCH has solved problems from BTC, the reason is that because the market is depended on crowd psychology, they always choose the best things that they see. Even the miners after holding the BCH they will find a way to switch to BTC holdings.

I think the value of bitcoin cash will increase in the future because this will be popular soon and so many people will prove that btc is not a scam nor btc will help us to improve our own lifestyle.

BCH mining is cheaper, but only for a short time, after that the algorithm adjusts and increase the cost of mining. Then the miners go to BTC and wait for the BCH algorithm to lower the difficulty.

this continue migration of miners, is that can fuck the BTC stability

I think Bitcoin cash has a lot of potential and it is usually regarded as the biggest competitor of Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin cash will surely cross the 1500$ mark by next year. It will show amazing growth in future.
I Think maybe everything could happen, but seeing the current fluctuations i was optimistic it happened

I really do not trust bitcoin cash. We have a group conversation in facebook, and people in there were so good at judging coins. If they see the coins are shit they will say that it is a shitcoin. And they also refer bitcoin cash as a shitcoin.
If this shitcoin can helps me earn a huge profit from trading on market, I still trading this coin and make money, why I ingnore an opportunity earn Bitcoin easy while other altcoin on market cannot do that? Therefore, take advantage all opportunity when you have is best choice.

Yeah and I'm one of those people that still doesn't cash out my BCH's. Before I'm always thinking that this coin is just a junk but after the fork, everything has changed. My mind has a different point of view now on this thing. I have one goal for it before cashing out my BCH or selling it, the same thing with what I do with my bitcoin, I'll hold.

On paper, it looks like a better coin, I agree. Like most alts. But they do not have the same environment and use of Bitcoin - so less stress on network. Vulnerabilities are not properly tested. We will see what happens once BCH is adopted by merchants.

It's not a shit alt of course... just had a good excuse to be an alt.

Actually, BTC has a shitty rep if you ask me. It is no longer the decentralized token it was supposed to become, Bitcoin is controlled by a few today, like it or not. Imho, it's just a dumb coin everyone speculates on, predicting it to go to the moon at over 10'000USD. Maybe it will (likely actually), but I think you can make just as much profits investing in alts with real potential and projects. The only thing BTC has going for it is to be the oldest coin on the block and be usuable in the real world (marketplaces, atms etc.).

I'm not saying not to invest and hold BTC, but you should never put all your eggs in the same basket. BCH has a bright future if it can break free.

What? I guess that depends on your place because the transaction fee in my place is free of charged. Though at times bitcoin have irregularities but that's not an issue at all. What's more important is that the loyalty of people in using bitcoin for a very long time. That only means that when bitcoin cash is there, the existence of it will just fade for the priority is bitcoin alone and forever will be.

What your colleague said is right, bitcoin is more reliable that BCH if you want to have better investment and looking for a better profit. This is just like an airdrop and you've got to sell it just to get profit and forget it after all.

indeed the cost of 5 $ per transaction for bitcoin that can be said big enough whereas for BCH arguably the transaction is quite small, but whether the transaction fee will guarantee that BCH will be a future coin.  ::)

For me, bitcoin cash will rise higher than we expected but I think it won't beat bitcoin because bitcoin is the highest cryptocurrency. A new split will not do any harm to bitcoin. Just as it did not harm the appearance of BCC.
It's just a marketing plan for some miners. They hoped that they would win the interest of investors, but this did not happen. After bitcoin will increase the block to 2 megabytes Bitcoin cash will be uninteresting

Bitcoin Cash is supposed to be an improvement of Bitcoin. But it seems the majority of the crypto followers are still sticking with the original BTC and a kind of cold treatment to Bitcoin Cash is happening. But it does not have to be like that. I think it is pure emotion running. The features as well as issues regarding scalability, fees, and confirmation time should be more focused.

I see three big reasons why Bitcoin Cash hasn´t gained the #1 spot in terms of market cap:
- hashrate shenanigans by the miners... if no blocks are found for hours sometimes this erodes confidence in a cryptocurrency
- Bitcoin Cash doesn´t operate under the BTC ticker symbol, which is a huge source of legitimacy (if Segwit2x gets the ticker symbol
in November, this could really change the future of Bitcoin)
- lack of merchant adoption (major exchanges still don´t support it, nearly all gambling sites don´t support it, no dark markets support it)

It will be really interesting to see how the November hard fork will play out, because it seems to have more
industry backing!

Every coin has chance to become the second coin or more popular than others. But to become like that, need time and hard work. Supply and demand become the major action to raise up and main indicator for investor/ trader to replace their money. Bitcoin Cash also has future but the real market also has their own answer. Just follow the trend and get out before too late. Have a nice day.

I think this is doesn't have any future, it is a centralized altcoin with no usage and nothing to offer. when it comes to altcoins your competition becomes much harder because you are not competing with nearly 2000 different competitors and some of them are very strong even though they may have lower prices right now.

No, not yet, here you can see the countdown timer for the upcoming fork https://cash.coin.dance/

I think that Bitcoin cash is one of the most perspective coins. Because of the upcoming hard fork, the price increased by 70 percents. BCH is one of the most fast coins on the market and has a bright future. Hope to see this coin at 5k USD during the next bull run.

All bets are off, a huge purchase occurred at 0.075 BCH/BTC. Wait for the next daily green candle with volume, it is lurking and it will soon enter again.

bitcoin cash is being abondan by their developers and only roger ver is still promoting it. it will become bitcoin gold soon. another bitcoin cash abc or bchsv will take its place. they are aruguing about the fork. after they fork it. people will be confuse which one to invest into. either that you have both coins. sure bch abc or bch sv might have upgraded software. where is the investor going to invest? i think after the fork the real bitcoin cash will crash. not because they got the fork but they will be confuse so it will hit 350$

Yes, this is what is needed to support the development of bitcoin later, as well as to mark the bitcoin we earn and benefit from the project. Generally making bitcoin cash is essential for now and for the future of bitcoin later. ::)

Its easy to manipulate trade volume now when you can indefinitely trade with bchabc and bchsv to bch and vice versa! And one more important thing there is that on Poloniex you can sell bch for usdc and than with usdc buy both fork coin without any fee!!! and than convert to bch and all over again!

I don’t think that it is necessary to believe in Bitcoin Cash, I don’t think that it will grow very soon, a lot has already been done for this project, but I think this is the maximum that we see now. As a bear market, I think it will grow up to price levels, but this is the maximum. Do not rush to make a decision. Let's wait and see, I think very soon we will understand everything

I firmly believe that BTC's going down is just a pretext to make a breakthrough in the market. This market is temporary. With the ability and benefits it brings us today, BTC is at the forefront of the most people-oriented trends to create stable jobs for them. It is unpredictable but I think it will grow and thrive in the future.

in the concept of bitcoin cash i believe it was designed to seldom be maintained or forked and that is a part i can not comprehend, whenever there is a fork, two things gets to happen. it enriches the holders of the coin and secondly it devalues the already existing coin although not in every case but most often times it has happened and i see it as not much of a win win situation.

Since you asked this question a year has passed and we saw the hard fork Bitcoin Cash, and its cost has decreased significantly. As a result, we have two cryptocurrencies BCHABC and BCHSV. But it is BCHABC that will continue to develop the original coin, it has received the support of the majority of community members and major exchanges. I think that the coin is waiting for new records in the future.

A few moments ago, after the hardfork, the price of BCH is dropping so much, compared with the price of the coins before hardfork.
More problem would be when bitcoin price falling down a lot, and then all other cryptocurrency also following to drop, including BCH.

What are you talking about? Bitcoin Cash ATH was $ 4,355.62 now the price is $177. Do these statistics mean stability for you?

ATH PRICE

$4,355.62
12/20/17 (346 days)

CURRENT PRICE

$176.91 -95.94%

ATH MARKET CAP

$65.93B
12/21/17 (345 days)

CURRENT MARKET CAP

Bitcoin Cash has no future and within a year or a maximum of two it will turn into dust.

In principle, BCH has a good development potential, since it is based on the BTC format, with an excellent development team. But for the time being, Bitcoin remains the priority solution for investment for me, but for success, BCH still needs regular updates and a rather long wait.
