Title: AGP GFX card for mining?
Post by: muscles on June 23, 2011, 12:51:01 AM
Anyone know if there's a good AGP video card that would be good for mining. Seems like most are pci-e.

4670 is about as good as you will get!

Ya, a 4XXX card is about all you're going to get out of AGP.  Better to invest in a PCI-E board and upgrade.

I'm asking because I have a few older computers that just have AGP slots that I could upgrade

Wow, i thought OpenCL only became avaiable some time after PCI-E became the norm...

Any standard PCI slots on those boards?  There are PCI-E to PCI adapters available.  PCI bandwidth is more than enough for this purpose.
