Russia is a big beautiful country with many interesting places. I was only in Moscow, but I would like to visit other cities in the warm season, as it is very cold in winter.

Enormous on territory country. Rich on oil and gas, but people in little cities live low. There are beautiful places, but there are bad roads. In winter there very coldly.

Russia is currently the world's military superpower due to their Nuclear Arsenal thats my opinion but when it comes to their economy they are very much lacking and they don't have lots of friends as well, even member countries of the former Soviet Union are not on good terms with them and they are also known to be the consumers of Vodka, No one can out drink a Russian.

Russia is a big country but ruled by idiots. They brought the country to the fact that the economy is less than the economy of any state in America. Russian always trust their lives to the king, and so from time to time in Russia there were bloody riots which permanently destroy the country. Educated people only live in big cities. For the rest of the country live stupid drunks. There is of course a performance, but they are very rare.

Big beautiful country but with a bad people in government

I live in Russia and there's a lot of intelligent people, but ppl trust the government too much and the rules steal all the money. In poor regions many educated people cannot find good work and start drinking because they don't want to leave their home not can realize their full potential.

The most beautiful women. Beautiful kids with blond hair... Endless green and golden fields... Great history and very scary history. Too much to say...

I have talked to some of my Western European friends, and they have told me that they prefer Russian women over their own women, because the western women are too much androgynous now. Russian women are less likely to be feminists, and they devote time to family life.

In Russia, only large cities such as Moscow and St.Petersburg live well. The rest of Russia is solid poverty, drunkenness and impassability. And the     idiots who lead the country, zombies people through their federal channels, telling that they are the most powerful country and everything is very good for them, and if not for the damned americans they would have lived  even better.

Russia is a very large country where there are indeed many beautiful women who know how to create a family cosiness and a lot of beautiful nature. Only people there drink too much alcohol and are very prone to corruption.

Russia is a big country. It is home to many nationalities. it is a country with its foundations and traditions. Who loves to travel in the world is worth visiting this country, its museums,theatres.

Russia is wide, huge and majestic. The place where everything is from warm seas to cold steppes and impassable tundra. Pristine places, abundant resources, wildlife. You can talk a lot, you need to go yourself and stay there))).

Huge country with garbage government, corrupted as hell and russian's economy is totaly fucked (mostly because it connected to much with oil). The only good cities are Moscow and Saint Petersburg but I've never been there.

Russia is a powerful country if we are talking about having a war. They have a strong and powerful weapons that they can use in war. Their government is also training their soldiers to become strong enough so they will not loss in war.

In each country, mostly the best are only large cities due to the fact that there is more population and many go there at work. But I saw a video and a photo about Moscow, I think it's beautiful there.

Pretty women. I don't know but the first thing that comes to mind, even before the kremlin, or kgb, or nukes, or putin himself, are the beautiful women that i see in pictures and films in russia.

Russia is one of the countries i like to visit. Mainly because of the culture, architecture and vodka. Yep vodka, girls ain't bad too but I'd like to stay away from the red light district. I'd like to visit the castles, see art galleries try their food!!!

If you want to visit the brothels, then go for countries such as Thailand and Cambodia. Nowadays, most of the prostitutes in Russia originates from Central Asian countries such as Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. But if you want to experience the Russian culture and architecture, then I would say that you will not be disappointed after making the trip.

Russia is the biggest country in the world. Indeed, it has many resouces and it reaches from Europe to Asia. Russia is a beautiful country with different types of landscapes and climates. St Petersburg Ballet Theatre is very famous and was founded in 1994 by Russian entrepreneur Konstantin Tachkin, for the purpose of delivering classical Russian ballet to audiences worldwide. Russian food is delicious and is ranging from soups to different kinds of meat foods and and even vegetables.

It was the head of the Soviet Union until its dissolution in 1990. It's the only country to ever hold the largest nuclear arsenal(about) 80,000 warheads at the height of the cold war. It has vast untapped resources in the Siberian regions in its northern part. It's part of the United Nations Security Council permanent members.

In Russia everything are usual. And why it makes so many various myths? It's astonishing!

Russia is a very complex country, you cannot sum it up in a few sentences.

Russia is huge, snow, vodka, crazy people, advanced in science, lot of inventions, ancient history, ancient culture and literature, diverse people and lifestyle.

There are several types of Caspian caviar, but the most expensive one is not Russian, but Iranian (Almas caviar, $35,000 per kg). If you want to go for Russian caviar, then I would recommend Volga Reserve or the Imperial Ossetra (I think that Beluga caviar is no longer available for export). 1 oz. of Imperial Ossetra costs around $150.

I only know is that vodka is original from Russia and that country is also known for tanks encountered in the streets.

Guys, i`m from Russia and that`s not very cool. Our government often invent new and new taxes. Our RUB felt down to 50% of its 2013 year price. We have a lot of problem inside the country - the biggest one is corruption.

Russia is one of the biggest countries area-wise, and due to its secrecy, it is difficult to gauge what military power they have. As you can see, their leader, Putin, is one of the most iconic leaders today, and his words are very strong and is being feared or respected by other countries. Russia, in itself, is a beautiful country with rich history, there are many attractions to see for travel and tourism purposes as well.

Russia is very large country but the winter season is so big problem for the live there .I have friends from Russia they are not happy to live in Russia because of cold weather and hard work life and low salaries.I havent been in Russia but i want to visit there.

None of these are unique to your country. These problems persist in most of the third world nations. And regarding the currency, you must also remember that the exchange rate of the RUR increased by almost 30% during the last 12 months and currently it is doing pretty good. But I agree that corruption is making life intolerable in Russia.

Russia is an x factor it shows aggression but it also shows cold and clinical precision on coalescing other people on what they want. Also they have a reputation as hard core people and it shows the stereotypes whenever you play games or watch videos.

Country with great potential and a bad attitude to those people who don't like the current government in this country. A lot of billionaires who own the wealth of the country. In Russia there is no democracy in any form.

Why Russia?
 Ukraine is not a big country. But in my opinion to visit this country is necessary for those, who want to visit NOT Europe, but very close.
Ukrainian girls are more beautiful than Russians. People are very sincere and hospitable. It's worth to visit churches and historical places. Beautiful fields and lots of forests.

I think those are global problems. Even the 'mighty' Dollar lost 15% in past 2 years when it was close to parity with Euro. This is the way to make us poorer and work harder - just to survive.

Russia is a beautiful country surounded by beautiful women and handsome men. they have very good and powerful president as well as their military weapon, they regulated cryptocurrency already and they accepted bitcoin as a payment method.

Unfortunately it's not that. Not all the stores accept card payment (visa or mastercard). Cryptocurrency have disputed status.

There are a few things, which never change. The biggest issue with Russia is the governmental corruption and the bureaucratic red-tape. And the worst part about this is that these things are tolerated to some extent by the population. The people have got used to it, so they hardly ever complain. Magnitsky was one of the guys who had the courage to complain, and we know what happened to him after that.

Third world countries? I thought this was a depiction of Italy. In Italy Taxes are now 50%-70% or so plus 24% VAT.
Now Italy has the Euro, but in 1992 The Italian Lira lost 30% overnight against the German Mark, with the introduction of the Euro Italian money lost another 50% of its value, and after the recent tax policy the real estate market lost 50-70% of its value in the past 5 years.

Are people really that unfriendly as they say, or is it misperception?

If Russians stop drinking this country will raise and show us that it is great. Russia is so different!!!

All I know about russia is one of the super power states.
a large country with great military force and vast territory.
they have a disciplined government. economically of course they belong to developed countries.

Vast country with rich history and beautiful landscapes. However the government sucks, it's corrupted a lot as I heard. People outside Moscow live very poor according to my friend from St. Petersburg.

Russia is a very powerful country. a country that is a state culture. but russia is scaring me. nuclear weapons and pro-war situations.

Russia is a huge country but its people do not use its huge potential in tourism or entrepreneurship. They just use their gas and oil without any other ideas how to make great deal out of surroundings. People are mostly uneducated. That is why they fall easily under propaganda produced by the government. Government officials are stealing money from those people, murder those who are not decile and lead their country to disaster. They claim to hate Europe and America, they claim to love their country but in fact their children are living outside the country because these officials have turned it to garbage.

Compared to other countries people aggressive enough. But within the country also differs markedly by region. For example people in Siberia or Far East friendly than  central part of country.

Depends on education. I have many friends from Russia, Belarus and the other CIS nations, and these guys are very friendly and respectful with me. But I have heard about foreign tourists getting racially attacked in Russia (especially if they have darker hair or skin color). But then, I guess isolated incidents occur everywhere, even in the United States.

Russia is a well known country , Russia is one of the most tight defense , good army strong rather , and a well trained army. A great country with beautiful destination or places. Sometimes some people say russia is a scary and not good place for or to travel along with , but no the country russia is lot more to appreciate the view of their different places , The food that surely capture your heart.

With the exception of the racist Russians, i am very much okay with the Russian people but racism is indeed everywhere in the white dominated countries so it isn't really something, I really admire their President a lot. Putin is a strong and firm man it pains me that most leaders in the world are not like him.

Russia is good country, but very poor. People are difficult, you don't know what they can do anytime. They love their country too much.

From the very limited amount of knowledge i have now, i know that Russia is a country where greatness challenged this country and have failed. This is where winter has forged it's people to be tough and are born survivors. Besides that, they have a very diverse culture, rich amount of arts, awesome architecture, delicious and complex food and of course VODKA comrade. I would really love to visit it sometime

And don't forget the fact that earlier the Russian Empire spanned across three continents: Asia, Europe and North America. Alaska was a Russia colony, before the Tsar sold it in 1867. Russian settlements were even present in North California.

Yea-yea-yea, it has nothing common with the modern Russia: the country of the 3'rd world, just like Kenya but snow instead of sand.

Russia has a great opportunities to be a good country but the local government are doing that wrong and I'm afraid that will lead Russians to the dead end.

I know it is cold there and girls there are hot.

Alpine areas? That's something new for me.
But yes, the nature is really beautiful and diverse there. Some areas were never touched by a man's foot.

What is russia?
1-villages forgotten by people standing without gas and electricity.
2- the majority of the population is watching television after work, where Putin is the best president on earth.
3- people who drink a lot of alcohol and do not kill America.
4 - the capital of Moscow - where all the corrupters of the country gathered.
5- large territory, which even the government can not cope with.
P.S. There are beautiful, ancient cities that you need to see.
       There are good and cultured people - but there are few of them.
       There is a beautiful and in some places still untouched nature, which is simply clogged.
