Title: Why Poloniex Sucks
Post by: misterkev on August 31, 2017, 06:34:09 PM
Anyone else having trouble signing up with Poloniex? I found their on-boarding difficult, and they will not respond to the Support Ticket I created. My Profile has simply said 'Submitted' for 5 days now. Time to move on?

What do you mean with 'signing up'? Are you trying to create a new account or are you trying to log in?
I don't have any issues logging in.

They are pretty slow on answering support tickets, that I have noticed too.

Having a lack of support on a major crypto platform makes you think that they have something to hide, considering that there's so much they could be hiding (insider trading, screwing with people's funds before letting them verify their account, any other shady activity they could get involved in).

When a lack of support is paired with an extremely high number of complaints that grows every day, you have Poloniex.  An exchange that many people trade in despite the fact that it's quite obviously shit.

Bittrex accepted enhanced verification for me pretty quickly.  Perhaps you should move there.

I had the same problem. I guess they are overhelming with all traffic recently. However, patience is king same apply to trading.   :-*

I've heard that Poloniex has had difficulties with their support lately. They had to pull people off of their chat box to help with support tickets. That's why their chat box is disabled. I use Poloniex and luckily I haven't needed a support ticket yet and I have had no problems with deposits or withdrawals. In fact, I did a withdrawal last night and it went very smoothly.

All exchanges are failing with customer support. Just expect delays. Wait a few months, you'll eventually get a response

I have known of some problems that Poloniex is facing, but to be honest I do not see why common traders would want to open numerous accounts on that platform? It is true that it is valid to complain about the bad services offered by some companies, but it does not seem right to take any strange pretext to speak against some company.

At least personally, I have not suffered any problems with Poloniex over a couple of years, I enjoyed good service but in spite of it I do not trust too much and I only deposit in exchangers the money that I can afford to lose .

Fully agree, their support sucks

IMO they sucks because they are not paying enough attention to their own customers. This is a sure way to blow a business away.

And removed the trollbox. There was great fun!

Poloniex really having a slow respond and their ratings really sucks based on others when it comes in handling support ticket.

But what's confusing me here is, registration is not related to this because it's on system based. Maybe they have a new rule about signing up. Remember Bittrex? There will be an error if you registered with password not including Uppercase+LowerCase and symbols and that specific error will not be shown so anyone doesn't have an idea what is goind on. Maybe you can try that on Poloniex.

Poloniex sucks because they don't have a decent website that has a high security and sometimes their site gets very lag and that is one of the most thing that i hate in a website. Their support also doesn't reply fast and my friend request to the support is already around 5 months and they don't even reply yet.

Same with Kraken. Like Kraken when they launched, then slowly realized how horrible it is to trade on there. Polo, Kraken, need a redesign and better backend. They may finally fix their issues once my companies exchange goes operational. After they lose a lot of customers, will probably force them to rethink operations.

I haven't seen anyone have issues signing up, so you are an isolated case here.

I have however, seen lots of people have their verification requests ignored for months. So essentially their daily withdrawal limit is stuck at $2000 and they can only withdraw that much even though they provided poloniex their identification.

Also, support is cancer right now. No doubt about that.

Personally i have moved onto bittrex and liqui, but there are still people using poloniex. I would definitely recommend at least getting out half of what you have in poloniex into another exchange in case something goes wrong, but getting out fully would be the best option.

Poloniex website is a huge bloated javascript nightmare. Its slow as fuck because the developers are too useless or lazy to do anything other than dump a load of jquery libraries together.

IT is getting worse all round, there are far to many shitty coders that are taking on jobs way beyond their abilities

Same thing with Kraken, their API is a fucking disaster. Its like a bunch of 8 year olds threw it together on a raspberry pi using scratch
